Update - My Hasrha unit arrived this afternoon.

I just got it all connected and what I noticed is that there is no power supply for the Pi included.

what is included it an adapter that takes one of the standard four pin plug from the PSU and has a power plug for the Pi on the other end.

Unfortunately this power cable does not supply enough power to the Pi to get it to fire up it's lights and the ethernet link.

Fortunately for me I had a Pi sitting around that I used to use with my Gridseeds and I used that power supply to get it fired up.

I am anxiously waiting for Simon to post a link to the the GIT source project where the Hashra source code is located so that I can compile it and run it directly from my pc using Linux.

I am going to attempt to access the unit now.

ps: there's a great little freeware program from www.advanced-ip-scanner.com that I use to scan the network for new ip addresses and I used that to find the Rasberry/Hashra unit.

the unit must be hashing already into Simons LTC account somewhere because it's putting a load on my UPS and is blowing hot air out the back.

In terms of noise it's no louder than a small room fan.

more to follow:

it seems they only got up to 14Mhs by overclocking the pants off it though. It was only 400w @ 12.5Mhs but now 485w at 14Mhs. 1.5Mhs for 85w  To be honest I might prefer 12.5 because at 400w I can run 2 off the same PSU. At 485 I can't.

from the read file for cgminer posted on their website (windoze version)

so: it appear as though you can set the clock speed, of course the setting are contengent on what setting the source code is setup to recognize. I'll be wanting the source code to complile for linux and I can take a look in the code to see if there are settings for 275, 250 etc....

but just try it.

=================================
execution  example:

cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://usa-1.liteguardian.com:3335 -u aaaa.256 -p x  --chips-count 256 --ltc-clk 300 -S //./COM4

===================================
execution option readme:

--ltc-debug
enable debug info output

--chips-count 16
16 chips in one COM port

--ltc-clk  250
clock 250M

--nocheck-golden
init with no Golden number check

--nocheck-scrypt
Don't check the miner's result.
Must set it on openwrt 703N version, as the scrypt.c calculates wrong on MIPS platform./

well - there'a a config file in the miner and I'm sue you can crank the HZ rate back down. Im going to give it whirl and test it. I'll run a some tests - hash rate vs power consumption. I pay .13 cents per Killowatt hr so I'll figure if there's reduced power consumption at slower hashing speeds and it's cost effect electric wise.

I've go a few left over 1,200 watt psu from my rigs so I'm set PSU wise for the two units I have coming.

yeah, thats possible of course, but then it isn't really a 14Mhs miner :/

well - there'a a config file in the miner and I'm sure you can crank the HZ rate back down. Im going to give it whirl and test it. I'll run a some tests - hash rate vs power consumption. I pay 12.6 cents per Killowatt hr so I'll figure if there's reduced power consumption at slower hashing speeds and it's cost effect electric wise.

Kudo's to Hashra

First Scrypt Mining company to break the $100/mh barrier and now only does Hashra Break it but they've smashed it with new pricing for Batch 2 set at about $87/MH for all of their units.

Damn  2800 watts.  That needs a 30 amp circuit.  They might as well make it 240v and do double 15.

Did they say anything about the ridiculous power requirements?  Anything over the entry level model won't even work on a standard US AC circuit as found in most people's homes.  I mean seriously, 2800 watts from the wall?

I just got this email from Hashra does this mean that our batch one miners will have the upgraded hashrate??

NEW SPECS, PRICES AND SOME OTHER VERY GOOD NEWS!
Hello Cryptonauts!

I know I emailed you guys just a few hours ago but we have some very good news just in that we didn't want to wait on.

SPECS UPDATE:
We have been working franticly behind the scenes to squeeze every mega hash we can for you guys and we now have some good news to report on this!

Here are the new confirmed specs for our Lunar Miners:
WARP 1, Was 12.5MH+, Now 14MH+
WARP 2, Was 25MH+, Now 26MH+
WARP 4, Was 50MH+, Now 52MH+
WARP 6, Was 75MH+, Now 78MH+

NEW NAMES:
I have to admit that the names of our miners did get a little confusing even for us and I had to admit defeat on it. : )
Going forward we are changing the names very slightly on the Lunar Miners so it's a bit more straight forward and easy to understand for all.

Lunar Lander Warp 1.
Will now be called "LUNAR LAUNCHER".
This is now our 14MH+ Miner to blast you into orbit!
This now has 2 x Mini Apollo Boards rather than one long board. This increases airflow performance.

Lunar Lander Warp 2.
This is now simply called "LUNAR LANDER" and is 26MH+.

Lunar Lander Warp 4.
This will now be called "LUNAR LANDER WARP 2".
It is 2 x Lunar Landers… See where we are going with this? ; )

Lunar Lander Warp 6.
This will now be called "LUNAR LANDER WARP 3".
And guess what? Is made up of 3 x Lunar Landers.

Sorry to have to change the names on you but think this makes more sense for all.

If you have recently ordered a "Warp 1" then your firmware and name on your miner will say "Launcher"… And you will get 14MH+ performance. : )

PRICES:
Ok, here for the really good bit.
As you know we always want to make sure that our miners are super competitive and also we want you to have a chance of mining to the moon as fast as possible.

To make this happen we have to make sure we can give you guys the best deal possible!

Here are the price updates for the BATCH 2 stock, shipping out by 15th June.

LUNAR LAUNCHER 14MH+ : $1250
LUNAR LANDER 26MH+ : $2275
LUNAR LANDER WARP 2 : $4525
LUNAR LANDER WARP 3 : $6750

Please note we did end up selling out of Batch 1 a good few days before we shipped out and we expect the same will happen again for batch 2.
Please do get your orders in as early as possible as we will not be able to accept any further orders for that batch once it sells out.

AND SOME MORE GREAT NEWS…. PAYPAL, VISA AND MASTERCARD ARE ALL JOINING US TO THE MOON!
We are now accepting payments by Credit Card, Debit Card and even PAYPAL!
We of course can continue to accept payments via bank wire transfer and bitcoin too but we are certain a large proportion of you will love the convenience of now being able to pay for your HASHRA miner with Paypal or by Card. : )

You can check out here the new line up of specs and prices.

just got the newsletter Simon

I don't see any link to the cgminer software on this page http://hashra.com/support/

that you reference in the newsletter.

please post that link

thanks

I see the cgminer link right there on the support page.

They have a Lunar Lander controla and a Lunar Launcher controla. What is the difference?

it does not do me any good - I run linux

how about a git for the source Simon?

I don't care for WinDOZE - I have to use it all day long and prefer something reliable and stable at night - which is why I choose Linux!

even the Pi Rasberry runs Linux for heavens sake!

@rOach If you paid with bitcoin, they probably wont refund you the same bitcoin that you sent them. They will refund you the bitcoin based on the USD price that you paid and the current value of bitcoin, which unfortunately is probably now higher than it was when you purchased the miner. Though I think that would be a good marketing tactic for a mining company...to offer refunds in the method it was paid. If you pay in USD you get the same USD if you pay in bitcoin you get the same bitcoin back.

HASHRA - MINING TO THE MOON
I think maybe they were hoping to ignore the problem away.

Exactly.  Put yourselves in my shoes, all the objective data that exists tells me that I'm being lied to to my face, refused the refund that was stated to be guaranteed on the website when the terms were obviously not met, then shipped the product anyway after I asked for the guaranteed refund four times.  I'm not just going to go away when I feel like I'm being lied to.

You want this problem to go away?  Then you can message me with some kind of solution then I'll delete my posts.  Otherwise, I'm just going to pursue this matter in whatever means possible.

Hi rOach

We have just messaged you.

As the miner has been shipped to you it makes it hard to do a refund but I am sure we will resolve this for you.

Regards

Simon
