If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

I remember when I was playing slot gambling for the first time and lost all my money, there I felt very sorry for the stupidity I made but a few weeks after that, I became even more curious to try playing slots again, and there I felt happiness. the first time I played gambling because I won big, after often playing gambling, the feeling of regret at the beginning gradually disappeared, and I forgot about it (I'm sure all gambling players also experience what I feel).

I engage in gambling of my own free will, what's the need of feeling remorse when I actually do that on purpose?
I haven't for once felt like feeling remorse in gambling betting before and after betting. From the start of my days in gambling, I do perceive gambling as a game of luck, that you can win or lose. Betting with the amount I can afford to lose is what comes to my mind each time. That made me have no remorse towards gambling because I have already learned how to gamble with less amount of money I can afford to lose without regrets and have fewer expectations at the end

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

The concept of feeling remorseful after a bet can vary depending on the individual and their specific circumstances. Personally, I would experience remorse if a single event caused my bet to fail while the others were successful. For example, if out of 10 bets, 9 of them turned out as predicted and the one I thought would be the easiest to win did not go as planned, it would leave me with a sense of regret but I don't think the amount of money wagered should not be a part of this discussion because every gambler understand that the fundamental principle of gambling is to only bet an amount of money that you are comfortable losing, to eliminate future regrets, managing risk and being responsible with one's finances are the basic rules every serious gambler should know.

I don't think anyone would feel remorse after hitting a big win so this feeling is only attributed to huge loses and depends on the type of gambler too. We feel all kind of different emotions when we gamble but for a feeling of remorse, it can be only when we have lost and to some extent all hard core must have experience this feeling of remorse because of the way they take their gambling act as they don't gamble simply for fun only.

Everyone will definitely feel guilty if they lose their money because of gambling, but they don't care because they will continue to play again even though the defeats will continue to be repeated.
and the most regrettable gambling experience is when someone loses a lot of money and keeps repeating or getting addicted to gambling and it has a negative impact on their life, and it is important to gamble responsibly and within your means. Instead of using money you can afford to lose, and actually it is important money, and it is tantamount to regrets that will never end.

I wouldn’t say I feel remorse after gambling, particularly when I win, but there are definitely times I wish I wouldn’t have bet. For example, when I don’t win. LOL. It isn’t always just about winning or losing though. There have been plenty of times where I lost a bet but the entertainment value I received was worth the price.

I guess, these feelings are only about losing.

We are gonna regret, what I'm doing on these. Example like, we are on winning section and let's say I make 690$ just need to 10$ left. Because of these, make my balance lose it all.

Then, the feeling are coming. Every person have these feeling, but we all know the feeling coming in the lose situation not winning. Once you winning you only feel happy + want to betting again.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
To be honest, I've felt remorse. Even, I often feel it, especially in slot games. When I make a small bet, everything looks good, I get a little profit. But when increased my bet, I didn't get anything, even my previous winnings lost too. But as for what I've lost, I must be no remorse, anyway also gambling is for fun, the most important thing is with the money you can afford to lose.

Actually depends on what the cause is, if he gambling using wife money, then yes he must be alert ! Grin
If he feel remorse at the end of the game I think that's good, because he'll remember and maybe he won't be play that game again.

Definitely, most of all in situations where it's been a misclick - then bet was never intended. Following that there have been scenarios where I have definitely misjudged the risk involved, like switching from football betting over to horse racing which are completely different odds. You could bet on the so-called favorites at horse racing ten times in a row and easily lose from my experience. Then there is situations like poker where you just know that the house has subtly favoured your opponent but you still push them to a showdown which you end up losing.

At early stage, one may feel remorse most especially when you lose the games, but what gives the highest motivation is when you gamble and you win at that point, your confidence level will be increased compared to when you lose, and also when you are in an area where most citizens are not a gambling or religion restrictions on gambling activities.

It's good to feel remorse once in a while so you know where to draw the line, but when it's most of the time, then you may have to look back on what happened in your previous session. It's better to be alert at times, but it's best when you have a specific set of rules to follow so you don't go through the same problems in the future. Sometimes I get carried away when i'm having a profitable day and would start to place dumb bets that shouldn't have happened if i'm more disciplined enough.

If he feels sorry, it is a sign that he will not repeat gambling the next day because if he loses, he will regret it again. Even if he could win and go back to gambling another day and suffer a loss, he would regret it again. It would not end unless he gave up gambling. Whatever amount of money he has lost, he will regret it, and he should have realized after a few losses that gambling was not for him and he should find other ways to have fun. No one is happy if we experience loss. Everyone is bound to regret it, but somehow, we keep coming back to gambling because the allure of gambling is too strong to keep us coming back.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
If you have money at gambling then that's not a good thing, but if you talk about caution then you have to realize that gambling is very risky to lose money faster if you can't control it, so don't ever gamble with a lot of money because it will be a regret if not as expected gamble with small money and you feel you can afford to lose that money.

But I always set aside a little money to gamble. I often do this. If I lose, I will stop and resume gambling when I have money, I will never force gambling with money but I always set aside additional money from other income.

I felt a little bit of it after losing, but it helps me to always think of my bet as lost from the start. There's always that small amount of hope which turns into regret when you eventually realize the money is gonw, but with the right attitude you can get over it.

Bottom line, remorse and regret are normal emotions that you face when you lose something and it doesn't matter if it's money, property, someone close to you, even an opportunity.

The feeling of remorse for a gambler does come up when he uses money meant for some other important project directing it into gambling making a collosal loss. Now it's not about the loss of the money that erupts the feeling of remorse but the idea that your action has halt the project which was maybe supposed sort of an important piece of your career or achievement. Although there are other terrible reasons for the feeling of remorse for a gambler aside this.

I think that no matter how big or small the amount you gamble away is, you fell like you shouldn't have done it. The same applies to the opposite when you ask yourself why you didn't bet more to win more.
I don't gamble that much, so I have a good control of my spending in that regard. Most of my gambling happens when I meet a good gambling buddy of mine somewhere who loves all sorts of gambling. Because of that, I often keep him company but always keeping an eye to not get myself or those close to me in trouble with reckless spending.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?
What is the reason behind the remorse? Did he lose more money than he could afford to lose? Is he just upset because he didn't want to lose few bucks that could have been used to pay for a pizza? Is he regretful because he promised his girlfriend to not gamble anymore?

It really depends on how serious is the situation the gambler is involved with. Sometimes we feel remorse for details or insignificant things, therefore it's not something you should be alert about. You just have to take easy with yourself.

I guess who doesn't regret when he loses money in his gambling? if you gamble and then lose, then you must feel responsible for what you did because gambling is full of risks, so use cold money so that when you lose you don't regret it more than using money that is your daily need.

I feel responsible if I do gambling because now I know that control must be at its limits so this will not be excessive or regret it because from the beginning I wanted to gamble but for fun not for the sake of winning because even if I win then I will call it luck.

~snip~

If a person has remorse, then somewhere deep down in his heart he realizes that he is doing something wrong. I have had this feeling several times, and in all those cases I lost money that I did not intend to gamble with. I think that remorse is a useful feeling that allows us to pay attention to things we don't see right away. In my opinion, remorse is something like an inner voice that sometimes needs to be listened to.

it's not a good thing and that person need to be on alert and should address these feelings. he or she needs to figure out what is the root cause of it or he/she can ask for professional help(which I think would be the better Idea). some may say the reason is that he/she lost, contradicting his/her principles, gambling more than he/her can afford to lose, etc... keeping this kind of feeling to yourself can lead to an awful outcome.
