yes
In order not to feel remorse, you need to have a strategy. Then you will practically not experience any feelings. You will see that the game is going according to one of the outcomes you have previously thought out. That's why I always think in advance of all combinations of what might happen. On what values of the deposit should I stop, admitting that I was wrong. Or where to stay after receiving a sufficient amount of profit.
Gambling is a risk, and gamblers are willing to accept the results of their decisions on games, whether gains or loses. Feeling remorse after gambling is most likely due to emotional instability. Before wagering on games, one must be in a balanced state. I occasionally experience grief after gambling, but it is never too late to rewrite the wrong done. Some people regard gambling as a negative concept in their heads, yet they refuse to stop and instead push to gamble on additional games. This remorse feeling is only felt once a week, and it is merely a signal to the mind about the dangers of gambling and the need to take precautionary steps.

If a person gamble and at the end of the game he starts to feel remorse is that a good thing or should the person be on alert?

And if the game isn't going how you thought it would, you can use a different strategy and if things change, it might be time to stop gambling and take a break. We don't need to feel sorry for playing gambling and losing a lot of money because, from the start, we already know that playing gambling can really lose a lot of money. And that's where we have to be wise in gambling to avoid losing a lot of money. We don't need to try to chase other wins like other people because it's clear that our luck will be different from other people's. And this is where we are required to always be careful in gambling.
This is a fascinating viewpoint! Gambling is a risky endeavour, thus planning is crucial. It's not just about the excitement; the strategy is just as important. But that's not the whole story. Probability and variance are essential concepts in the gambling world. No matter how well thought out a plan is, there will always be some element of random chance, or variance. That's why knowing when to stop is so important; you mentioned it. Bankroll management is the process of establishing and sticking to predetermined profit and loss boundaries while gaming.

Regarding the pursuit of others' successes, I wholeheartedly concur. You're responsible for your own luck, game plan, and strategy. After all, "comparison is the thief of joy," as the old adage puts it.

I do think that the feeling of 'remorse' only happens when you lost a current bet in your gambling activity.

Ask yourself this question: regardless of whether you won or lost, do you feel remorseful about your actions; or do you feel only remorse when you lost your money in the bet?

The answer to the above-mentioned statement would indicate on why you feel remorseful in the first place. I do think that it is obvious and it is human nature to feel regret after losing your bet especially if it involves a substantial amount of money. But if you also feel remorseful even if you win at the end, then that may be the sign that you should stop gambling in the first place.
The feelings of remorse we may feel are not really important, what matters is the reason behind that feeling, after all most of the time people only feel remorse when they are facing a situation they cannot change, so people need to wonder why they are feeling that way and what they can do to avoid this on the future, and when it comes to gambling the most common reason why gamblers feel that way is because they have gambled too much money away, as they were chasing their losses and now they are profoundly unhappy about what they did.

Remorse is another way of saying regrets and they're associated with negative thoughts which isn't healthy for you as a gambler. You felt remorse because you did things you're not suppose to do therefore look with in yourself and stop what made you feel remorseful.

Feeling remorseful isn't a good thing, there are so many reasons why you're feeling so. It could be because gambling isn't allowed in your religion or family and you know you have disobeyed that belief therefore you're feeling ashamed of yourself.

it could be because you have used money that you weren't supposed to you for gambling and you have lost the money and now you're left with nothing but just regretting the decision you took. You don't get remorseful when you had a successful bet and won.
I need to use Google for that word and I found that it only means to regret but your post is helpful for those who are also new to it. I wouldn't say that I regret when I play gambling and I lose all my money because in exchange of it, is that I have a good time.

If I don't play gambling, I still have my money but I am still bored. I know there are other ways to kill it but it's just gambling is the one that offers a different feeling of euphoria. I think that is because we are using our money as a fuel. We are risking it in hopes of doubling, tripling, xxxxxx... it. There are different ways to reel regret but I think I will only feel it on a thing that I refuse to try, say when there is a job opportunity.

I think the both can apply here and they mean one of two things,
Your either disappointed at the choices you making in the market you chose to stake on or you've gone out of your way to take a bet that wasn't worth it.

Like, you can see those that place bets of $1000 just to get $10 as profit ($1010). Even if you win, your still filled with regrets and worst still, if you lose.  In other cases, it might be a huge lose and the win was dependable.

Like most students do in my nation. They gamble with the hope of getting there daily bread from the wins but that never happens very often and they wish to have fed with the stakes instead of trying to increase it.

When these happens, it simply means you've done something not in line with certain policies and caution should be exercised.

I think we should not do things in life which we regret later no one can guarantee winning in gambling. Have to bet with your own experience and control being the biggest. Regrets will be less if you can control everything most players enjoy gambling and see it as a recreational activity. On the other hand, there are players who cannot control their urges and usually see gambling as a way to make easy money. They usually play with money they can't afford to lose, usually money that goes for something else like rent.
In every gambling, regardless of its type, everyone will definitely feel a sense of regret, especially those who experience defeat. But strangely, that wasn't enough to make them deterred and stop gambling, in fact, most of them always chased their losses in the hope of winning next time and covering their losses with a win. There are lots of typical gamblers, there are also those who gamble as entertainment with the sole purpose of wanting to relieve stress or fill their free time on holidays. This seems healthier and less emotionally draining, but I've seen very few people do something like this. Most of them are too ambitious and have the thought that they will be one of the lucky ones among the others. Again, it's about gambling, people who don't have a strong mentality will definitely spend everything on gambling capital even though they still lose in the end.

Gambling is not by force that we must do, we shouldn't engage doing what will lead to regret or great repercussions later in life because we can't just take hold of controlling our urge for gambling, everyone need to put themselves in other and remain determined not to allow gambling takes them to where they bever expected to landed at, but we must start that today with caution while gambling by knowing when to gamble and when not to and stop deceiving ourselves that we are sleeping while there's fire on the mountain, everything has time and season.
sometimes a gambler forgets the identity they have which causes regret in the future. I mean sometimes a gambler forgets that he should be betting only for entertainment without having to think about doubling the money or big wins which will end up being worse, namely addiction. and for gamblers who have already become addicts they will find it difficult to control themselves not to be emotional and control spending for money that must be spent.
so that those who continually lose money at gambling will always regret every money they risk.

When a gambler is in a game session and loses so that the decision to return the money that has been lost becomes a goal, it is difficult to control emotions because his thoughts and emotions have become one and the focus is only on winning a game.
Actually the most difficult thing about gambling is not about addiction but about controlling yourself.

Because usually there are several people who give their money to be used as betting capital with the aim of sharing the results when they win.
This happens, of course there is an agreement that if the money is lost, then they must be able to receive it.
It is better to use their own money but if there is an offer like that few people will refuse it.
So, in this case, we must have the ability to control ourselves so that we can avoid the desire to continue the game or want to recover the losses we have experienced. And with that self-control we will not think about recovering the money we have lost but will think that it is a risk that we accept because we have been gambling. We should still be able to control ourselves well so that we don't think about things and even experience gambling addiction later. Using our own money to gamble must be accompanied by responsibility; if that money runs out on the gambling table, we will only feel disappointed. But if we use other people's money, we must return the money somehow. So the responsibility will be greater if we use other people's money to play gambling.

You will start to feel remorse only after you lose your money, I've not seen anyone that feels remorse before starting to gamble, unless, he feels worried about himself, thinking that the road he is about to set on can make him change for ever, if you ever feel like this it's better to stop, because the mind is a very powerful part of the body, sometimes the mind can make things happen to us.

You know yourself better than anyone, if your mind is trying to warn you about what you are planning to do, sometimes it's better to put an end to that plan.

Just once, I had it so terribly because it was the first ever money I earned and then I lost it on gambling and I swore off gambling for a long time after that, didn't gamble for god knows how long. When I came back, I had that in mind and I knew that gambling is a net loss and there is no winning here.

Doesn't mean that every single time you gamble you will end up with a loss, I had those crazy 100x or more returns as well, definitely was a fun feeling when I won that but even then I knew that I will not be earning anything from it and the long run I will lose at least that much as long as I kept on trying. This is why I ended up limiting my budget very well and I do not end up gambling excess amount, no need to risk anything for something I know I am going to lose.
Your experience is an example of the classic risk-reward problem that gamblers face, a psychological battle as old as time. It's true; gambling can offer exhilarating highs, as your 100x returns illustrate. But as you've astutely observed, it's a game where the odds are stacked against the player. One of the most critical principles in gambling, as well as in broader financial and investment decisions, is the concept of "Expected Value." The Expected Value in gambling is typically negative, meaning the average outcome over the long run is a loss. That’s where your understanding and perception of this ‘game’ is scientifically grounded and appreciable. Limiting one's budget while gambling, also known as "bankroll management," is indeed a strategy practiced by many successful gamblers. Yet, it's worth reminding ourselves that gambling should be viewed as a form of entertainment rather than a reliable means of making money.

If we think we want to recover previous losses, we must realize it is difficult because it will require more money. And we also don't know when our luck will come. So instead of wanting to recover previous losses or get wins, we should just play gambling for fun.
The desire to get a win in order to recover losses will always appear in the minds of gamblers when they experience defeat and also a feeling of regret because with added emotion the desire to chase defeat always appears by itself.
Maybe playing with the aim of having fun is the right choice, but can a gambler who experiences a big loss feel pleasure without the slightest regret.
Gambling uses deposited money so if it's only with small money it might be easy to accept defeat and think of it as fun but when using large amounts of money it's no longer fun but looking for profit.
This is normal for gamblers because they don't like seeing their losses, especially if the loss is a big loss. They want to recover their losses by playing gambling again but they have to be able to lower their emotions. Otherwise, it will only trigger another defeat and they will truly regret following their ego.

But even though it is entrusted money, we should not use it for gambling even though the owner doesn't mind if we use it for gambling and instead tells us to gamble. We should gamble using our own money because if we lose, it's our money that we don't need to give back to other people.

It only happened to me once, after I had a very unlucky session of dices.
I lost some money which I could perfectly have used to invite my parents to eat outside or help them to buy something they asked for.

That was a moment which helped me learn that I should be more responsible and only wager amounts which would not give me remorse if I end up losing, it does not matter if that also translates into decreasing my chances of seeing an important profit during a good streak. In the end, this is supposed to be about entertainment and nothing else.

I felt bad for three days, until I realized it was not such a big deal.

Its not a good thing but I think its a normal  thing  especially  if the money used for betting was sacrificed and was intended for something else, and now you've lost money and now also indebted or be seen as a debtor.
There are times when the regrets come and its mostly after a huge loss and that is why it  is always preached to use the amount of money we can afford to lose.
Greed is one major factors that gives room to regrets because at the end of the day, we loss everything from.greed and end up with regrets

I don't regret nowadays on my losses even if sometimes I go overboard because I am already used to it and no, it does not mean that I am addicted to gambling already. I know my self more.
If it has become your habit without regret when you lose a bet and lose some money, isn't that the same as you have planned a budget for gambling according to what you can afford to lose?
if that's true I think you are really not an addict but it's just that you gamble according to what you can afford to get entertainment or have fun.

but I'm sure that at least once in a while you've felt regret when you lost a small amount of gambling or maybe after getting a slightly big win but you spent it again having fun.
