Depends on what you mean by being alert...
People usually feel remorse after losing on games they really didn't wanna get involved in,.. especially when they thought it would pay off and it ended up the wrong way... Sometimes, a one-time bet could possibly earn you a couple of dollars to start with, which is even enough for the day but peeps with greed would wanna try again, hoping to continue in the same frenzy until whenever...lol, that's where the problem begins cus you stand a chance to lose everything you won,.. including some more extra bucks.... There's a grand rule in gambling; don't ever play more than what you got in budget - that should be applicable when you're winning too much, or losing too much too...

Losing certainly feels bad. I know the feeling of losing a lot of money due to my stupidity but that has not stopped me from losing even more money in the all-too-near futures after that. Just put it out of your head and not dwell on it too much. Otherwise you start thinking you can win your loss back but end up losing more money...

if there is something to regret at the end of the game, of course the gambler has made a mistake. and that should be watched out for. this is not because gambling is addictive. I myself have regretted not because I played gambling, but because I spent more money on betting than what I had spent before.
now I am more aware of it by trying to consistently limit myself not to bet more than the allocation that I have previously determined. it's true what people say, if you can't control yourself, then it's better not to gamble. because it can make us lose everything.

I could remember way back when I used my tuition fee for betting,I felt so remorse and filled with regrets when this happened. At first,it will like nothing happened but later,when I have to face the consequences of my action,I regretted it and learnt from my experience.

Chasing your loss it the major problem that can lead a gambler to use all his payroll to gamble at a spot, and this happens when you are greedy and you want to win big. Remorse and regrets will be the order of the day when one chases his loss. Self discipline can help a gambler to trim his losses and will make him not to feel remorse over a little loss.

Keep in mind there are two types of players when playing gambling. First, those who play with the aim as entertainment just to let go of tired after work, they play naturally and even when getting defeat is not a problem. And secondly, those who play with the aim of winning, they do anything to achieve victory including spending large capital so it is not surprising if they are disappointed or regret when at the end of the game has not yet won.
And should when they have experienced disappointment and regret makes them stop to play gambling, but what happens is the opposite they are increasingly rising to continue to play.

Honestly saying I don't gamble everyday. Gambling and sports betting are like weekend hobbies to me. So me feeling remorse it lot less possible. But yeah sometimes when I gamble too much money because I get greedy I feel remorse. I tell myself "why didn't I stop myself at that point?" etc. I think there are many gamblers around the world feeling so similar. Its so sad that gambling is very addictive hobby. You always wanna go on. Noone thinks about stopping at casinos.

When gambling there is no room for feeling and things like that. That only comes when you have lost your last euro on the gambling site and there is the realization that the entire bank balance is gone again. Then I'm pretty sure there are a lot of players who are remorseful when they're in that position, but another question would be if they learned anything from this? Often they feel like shit for a few hours, but the next day they already have another betting system ready and so we actually get a vicious circle with these players.

It is normal for this feelings yo come in especially when your loss is big or when you gamble with money that you are given to give to someone or money that is meant for an emergency. To keep a healthy gambling life and atmosphere,it is better than one should only gamble with money not meant for important purposes but instead only gamble with funds that you can avoid to lose. So many times in our gambling activities,we feel remorse and regrets our action because we don't know when to stop gambling,either winning or losing. The next day,you will want to chase your loss and gamble again to win it back but you will run at big loss. Regrets upon regrets and remorse upon remorse,this is what gambling is all about.

That’s natural for those gamblers who are betting more than they can afford to lose. They will always feel deep regret once their funds have completely lost instantly without even them giving chances to win. As a gambler, once you start feeling that, it’s better to just stop gambling immediately before you used up all your funds and go home feeling so frustrated and regretting.

The people who feel remorse at the end of gambling are usually responsible persons who understand that gambling is a mistake especially when you are using funds you cannot afford to lose.I consider it as a good thing as it means you are reasoning cold headed now and most likely you will not come back at it because another lost session can be devastating to such person.

Persons who don't feel any remorse,like myself for example means that I can afford to lose the money I gamble and I have great self control,I can quit whenever I want and I can come back whenever I want,of course people like me do not feel any remorse except in the rare cases when we overdo things,we try to hit that big win and lose a bit more money than originally planned.

Generally, I had some before. Who never had that? I guess none of us.

It is advisable to have a neutral feelings & decision before, during, and after betting to a match. If the player cannot have the ability to cope with losses, I think that player should stop (or be stopped) from placing bets as he do not posses enough emotional capacity towards a negative result.
If not stopped, worst case is addiction and it's other negative effects financially physically, mentally, and socially.

It depends on the level of remorse imho. All gamblers feels upset after losing in the casino. Even Drake feels upset if he lose a huge bet because that’s the normal reaction if you lose something.

The only time you need to be alert is when you feel remorse for a long time which you are upset even if you are already with your family and friends. A remorse feeling should be after gambling and go away a few moment when you are alone.

Remorse/Upset is normal when you lose. It’s not normal if you are soaking on it for a long time.
