If I'm honest the only thing I've ever bought with bitcoin is a Trezor. I gamble with bitcoin & that's it. My main goal with bitcoin is HODLING as an investment for the future. I'm seeing my stash as a store of value which hopefully in the future will make me a lot of money. I'm not really interested in spending any of my coins apart from gambling with some of the money I get from signature campaigns.

I may write code in exchange for bitcoins.
It's pretty amazing that you were able to convince someone to accept bitcoin on first try.  This person must have already had a bitcoin wallet going or something.

I definitely bought some beer and a meal with bitcoin almost a year and a half ago in person.  It was really fun.

However, I'd also say that when I've bought stuff online with bitcoin and it gets shipped to me that's also "real/physical goods" it's just not face-to-face.

Yes. Some blu rays. As far as I could tell I was the first person to ask to pay with that method so I had to walk them through it.

Just writing some code
The only things I have bought with Bitcoins are online. I haven't seen any store around me that accepts Bitcoin which kind of disappoints me.

Love me love my Bitcoin.
Do you know there is a drink called coffee?
I basically forced a friend to start using Bitcoin to pay my coffee in Satoshis!

he was skeptical but now he trusts the whole thing... and he sells coffee to me.

That's all good!

That's really cool.

It was my mum's birthday yesterday. And I wanted to buy a birthday cake for her, but when I reached the bread shop, I realized I forgot carrying my wallet and I had only a few bucks in my pocket.  I tried to talk to the boss of the shop if I can pay by bitcoin, to my surprise, she said YES and finally I paid the cake by bitcoin.  Grin

That's awesome. From which country u r ? Not in many country a cake shom owner will accept bitcoin.

No, she said usually no one knows she can accept bitcoin payment for her cakes because there isn't a note saying "bitcoin accepted" in here shop.
And I did not expect to buy a cake using bitcoin as well ... it happened all because I forgot carrying my wallet when I leaved home and the cake shop owner's a bitcoiner by coincidence.

Unfortunately, no. Directly for bitcoin I bought only online goods (games, services) I gave some bitcoin to my friends, etc.
I can't spend bitcoin directly in my town because there is no place where I can do it. For now I can only sell my coins and exchange it for FIAT.
