First, you think suicide is never an option, regardless of depression. This shows courage but ignores the hardships some people suffer. I agree that gambling addiction ensnares many. To claim it's unavoidable? That's like saying a poor hair day is lifelong! Even the most stubborn addictions can be overcome. Sorry about your online betting issues. Like a leaky ship, right? You can win if you realize you're more than your losses. Like a duck, let losses slide off your back and paddle hard under the surface!

I still don't know how manipulative it is for one to gamble with their school fee.
Now my question is; Is the bettor upto the minimal age requirement to gamble?
Because I know too well that responsible gambler would never gamble with his or their school fee after knowing too well about the principles of gambling, and of one gambling with what they could be able to lose instead of using a whole lots of school fees to gamble thinking they would strike a harder winning maybe doubling their school fees.
Being responsible will never have the thoughts of gambling with the tuition fees, but everytime things won't be the same. There will be difference of mindset based on the win and loss experienced by the gambler during his wager. Everyone have the feeling of winning good money and settling all the debts and enjoy life. The reality will be understood only while experimenting it in real time.

This is a wrong choice and the parent need to watch there children or take a very important steps in ensuring that they monitor there children so that they will not be lured into doing something that is not right. It is very wrong for a children especially a student to go into gambling when they are not even upto 18 years or more. Every countries had the proper age a person must reach before thinking of gambling. This days that we have online casinos, it is more convenient for school children to go into gambling even without the parent suspecting anything from the child and make Children are the ones that normally gamble.

This case reminds me a bit something which happened some years ago back in 2020, a young man from USA started to trading options on Robinhood without knowing exactly what he was doing. Through his experimenting with the app be got some leverage and all turned badly for him when he saw a negative balance of over 700k$. The decided to end his life and left a note behind for his parents.

The tragic part of this story is that seemingly he did not owned that quantity of money but rather was the temporary balance before his movements settled in the market.

You can read more about it here. Quite similar scenario, in my opinion...

Human being and their different ways of life and reasoning.I haven't seen any reason why I will commit suicide nomatter how the rate of the depression is.We all take risk in our own,but taking our lifes is unacceptable.Gambling is one thing that has claimed lives, and the worst part of it is that once you are addicted to it,you can't come out of it,it takes extra effort for a gambler to stop gambling.I am also a victim of this online betting, and I have tried everything possible to stop it,but its very difficult. We loose money every here and there, but I can't take my life because I lose money. They call it a game if the mind,if you haven't made up your mind that anything can happen(either you loose or you win),you  will end up being depressed or might end up commiting suicide after a heavy loss.We just need to be careful in the way we do things, and place important on our lifes than material things.

If we talk about depression and gambling, then I think that is it rather a complex topic which I am afraid I am not informed enough to comment on.
Itself depression is an illness and not a state of mind or a mood. It simply does not go away on its own and I personally think someone with depression would not gamble or consume alcohol in a regular basis as long as their depression is not treated.

That guy who ended his own life obviously suffered from some kind of mental illness, because no mentally sane person would immediately do what he did without trying to investigate why the app is showing such amount. It does not sound logical one can own almost 800k$ from partaking in a trading app. Those services do not offer non-collateral loans neither casinos offer non-collateral credit to gamble.

It's really a shame, this is really one of those sad stories that really tell the dark side of sports betting and gambling in general, I could not help it, but had tears rolling down my cheek while reading this story..
It's a horrible story to engage in reading, and it's clear that terrible things do happen in our world. Some people are truly depressed; they lack so many things in their lives that they believe the only way to end it is to commit suicide. I've personally witnessed circumstances where people regard suicide as the only option that exists. The victim lacks communication skills; he has never communicated his account of events, and even if he does, his circle is incompetent or uninterested to support him. Suicide is never an appropriate response to our problems; there is no such thing as a problem without a solution.
Rightly said, suicide can never be a solution to any problem it was usually not impossible to get out of this difficult depression depending on the mentality of the person. They do not choose this path because of lack of sufficient knowledge and skills if the bet is lost once, there will be a chance to recover many times but if the life is gone it will not come back. Only those who have lost a loved one can understand how cruel suicide is. We have no opportunity to know what life is like beyond death. So maybe his life becomes so insignificant in the event of survival that a person forgets the greatness of life for a moment.

Sometimes, thinking about it, we cannot really say blame them if they made that choice because the kind of situation they are in is quite unimaginable for someone that is not on their shoes. I mean, it is easy for us to say that suicide is not a solution because as long as we're still alive, everything can be fixed even if it is quite blurry when we're looking in the horizon, while that is true, we don't have any say about what they did because honestly, I don't think that it was their first choice and I know they have tried to think carefully about how to get out of that situation but for them, it's just too impossible that is why they decided to do the unthinkable.

Gambling should be done only by those who can afford to lose. The online casinos need to come up with a mechanism to implement this rule.
People do not gamble with the amount they can afford to lose again, they gamble with their life savings which is really causing them harm, some people gamble with their entire salary which after losing, they put their family members in suffering, I know it’s not possible but how I wish their is a way it can be stopped.
If that were what they did, they would regret it because when they lost, the loss would be too great for them to survive. Especially if they are gambling with their life savings, they will lose all their money at the gambling table. This is not recommended for everyone and can trigger those who lose a lot of money to end their life because they will think of suicide as their sense of responsibility towards their family or those around them. Even if they want to think long and talk about their problems, the people around them may still want to accept them and provide solutions to get out of their problems.

I have seen people taking out loans and then wasting them in gambling. The numbers are huge. Entire families are destroyed as a result of addiction to gambling.
Gambling addiction have really caused lots of bad things, just one person being addicted in gambling in a family can destroy the entire family, am always feeling bad whenever I see that a person is addicted to gambling because I believe the harm which the person will be causing to his family will be more than the good, some addicted gamblers have sold their house just to gamble with it, some of them sold their cars, their valuable things just because they needed money to gamble which might end up affecting the family member. Some of them those not even affect the family members alone, some of them affect the society, because they ended up doing illegal things in the society, and that’s why gambling is being seen as a bad thing in most society.

And it results in gambling getting generalized and those who gamble in a responsible way getting demonized.
Gamblers are being generalized and the society those not know that their are some certain people that are being addicted to gamble and they are the once doing illegal things to gamble, their is currently massive increase in gambling addiction, everyone is trying to make money from gamble, so most gamblers in the society are already addicted to gambling and it’s just few of gamblers are just gambling for fun.

Gambling should be done only by those who can afford to lose. The online casinos need to come up with a mechanism to implement this rule.

It will be difficult for casinos to implement such rule as to only allow the good players to play, those who can afford to lose as they have no way of knowing it.The banks who usually give out loans do not care for what the loan is used as long as the person is able to pay them back including the asked percentage of interest.

What should be done is to create some sort of program in gambling rehab centers that borrowing money is never a good way to be spent in gambling. Also if these people happen to read good books like "Rich dad, poor dad" they will learn that the best thing to do with borrowed money is to invest them in a side business.

It will not be that difficult. The casinos can just ask the players to get a statement from any of the banks to prove that they are in good financial health. But doing so would nullify the anonymity and also a lot of the players who don't want to go through this tedious process would rather rely on underground and illegal casinos instead. Also, the casinos know that a large fraction of their clients are those with poor financial background, or having addiction issues. Obviously they don't want to lose too many customers by being ethical.

It was a pretty stupid thing to take out a loan just to gamble and then lose out on it. Not only did he lose, but he also owed money, which if this continued like this would destroy his life and even his family. I quite agree with you that the government must not interfere in gambling matters, but they must issue regulations which regulate gambling platforms not to issue loans or any other form of loan to gamblers that exceed their ability to pay. While this will minimize the number of people who will be ruined from gambling, it will also help the gambling industry to be better in the future.
gamble using money generated from borrowing it will be very bad in the long run because in gambling there is no guarantee of winning and if he loses he definitely has to return the money on the other hand he has lost money at gambling and feels emotional can't control himself and borrows again after it lost again. this is the reason I say in the long run it is very bad to borrow money to gamble.
related to gambling platform regulations which are prohibited from providing loans to customers. until now, I have never found a site or online gambling platform that provides loans to customers, and I think there will never be an online casino platform that provides loans.

There have been many such cases and even worse there are some gambling addicts who are willing to commit criminal acts such as stealing, robbing or even cheating just for a certain amount of money to be able to continue their gaming session.
From negative things like this, many people have started to think badly of gambling activities and the gamblers themselves, while there are still many gamblers who can be held responsible for their actions but are looked down upon by some people.
Casinos cannot implement this mechanism because casinos are made to do business by providing a wide variety of games and betting options for every gambler.
Everything that happens is the fault of the gamblers themselves who cannot control themselves as gamblers.

I hope we all as gamblers learn a thing or two from this, and go back and look at our gambling life and see if there is a thing or two that needs to be adjusted..
I pray non of us, and any of our relative shall ever be a victim of such a sad story Huh?.
I do believe that we shouldn't be really shocked about this because we keep seeing about these type of people, they do exist and even though we would say "don't do it" normal people are aware that they shouldn't do it, it is not a shock, and we shouldn't be shocked neither. I mean you wouldn't do it, I wouldn't no normal person would do it and I understand that, but when it comes down to these people it is obvious that they are not normal.

I believe that we shouldn't judge them, there are a lot of people with mental issues and I think it would be quite troublesome if we end up with anything more than that when we scratch off these type of people as well. I think it's quite important to just let them be and hope that they get the treatment they need before they end up like this guy.
Well, each person has their way of thinking and their way of acting, that defines it according to their personality and it is very common for there to be people who have some problems, either due to trauma or because they were actually born with a flaw in their brain, and these things are sometimes not their fault, the bad thing is that when they are not treated in time they can give all kinds of reactions regardless of the consequences , of course this carries a huge responsibility charge and this leads us to think that all of us As players we always have to be responsible for our game and always be very right in what we do.

We do have our own will and awareness on things, we arent that dumb not to know on which one is good and which one is bad.It is really just that there are people who are really just neglecting those things or doesnt mind

nor really that dont care on what are the consequences that they might faced on on the time that they are really that ignoring those risks and this is why people who do able to avoid to those risks are the ones who do
being that sensible on what are the things that could happen if they would proceed on. For those people who are really that already addicted are the ones who do have that kind of dumb thinking and doesnt mind
on things that would happen because what things that they do have in mind is on how to play and make winnings out of those funds that they do have.
Doesnt matter on where it do came from or simply its something that isnt yours then you wouldnt mind, you would be having those thoughts inside that you would be minding that
problem later on.On the time after the session and you had lost it all then this is where you would realized that youre been fucked up.
I have always thought that a person who commits suicide for many reasons is a person who is taking away the opportunity of another who continues to fight for his life, for example the case of the man who commits suicide because he lost everything in the game, ok that's it a lot of shame, but I think that we as humans have the ability to seek solutions, but not to solve everything by leaving life, because we don't know what we should do in the other world to return to this one, and we have to take advantage of this world, this life is one, we learn, we need many things each time, that is why our life cannot be put like that to be taken away just because.

In all addiction problems, it is understandable that things can occur due to the stressful situation that people experience, the problems and their lives are reduced to the fact that stress is looking for money to fulfill all the Responsibilities , but I will always say a person who You can't take your life for Something like that or for Anything.

For the game , or for any Case there is always a solution , what I think that Until now there is no solution is for death , but in everything else if there is an opportunity , this is something that is Seen, that is Felt , and it is not worth it after so much Effort that They let themselves be won by a System.
