For beginners, it is risky because they still have little knowledge about the reliable websites and campaigns to join to. They are highly at risk when it comes to scammers. The risk is you can lost all of your investment. But it is rarely getting loss everything, maybe 3 or 5 times from all of your investment. Of you want to invest because you're new in crypto, better to choose the right coin like bitcoin or ethereum. These good for you, and you can learn little by little next in trading activity.

Depend on what project to support, if you are holding quality project then you can hold it for some time and wait till the value bounce back, that's why its really important to learn with different coins and what is the target venue of that said project, business proposal and how things are progressing, value your money and keep yourself away from scam coins.

Yes stock investment is different it depends on company performance and if we invest in the beginning a long term definitely it gives us a good profit. like this we can't trust cryptocurrency.

Risk comes from the market volatility. if you are new and is not yet still awared that the dumps in the msrket are normal, you will surely lose profit whenever thebmsrket is falling. Avoid selling especially if the market value of cryotos are decreasing. So there's not that much. The risk is only due to the sudden changes in the market value whereas the solution is patience.

I think almost everybody know the risk that they are willing to take before joining here in cryptocurrency.But for some who doesn't know yet,one reason why it is too risky to invest in cryptocurrency is the volatility of the coins which anytime the value of that certain coin may go down rapidly that may sometimes caused a panic selling to each and everyone who are new to this crypto world.To cut loses,they will sell it anyway because they're afraid to lose all their investment.Another risk is the issue about scam and hacking of coins in an exchangers which happens a few weeks ago.
