If you have any chronicle diseases ask a doctor if any special herbs would interact with it. If you don't know if you have any, go take a check-up first, including a full allergy test. Many people die everyday because of "harmless" herbs and stuff. Every-body is different. Also, the amount you take is important. Even the most clean drinking water can harm you if you drink senselessly - a lot.

I still insist that physical activity is the best way to fight stress and remain healthy. Never eat a lot at once but consume all food varieties throughout the week. Fruits and vegetables come first. Consume yogurt everyday(excepting the days when you eat fish) and garlic whenever you're free to smell like it. Preferably everyday but yeah. Smiley

How do I know? I'm 35 and look and feel like 25, mainly because I care about what I eat.

I appreciate you taking the time, and respect your opinion, but honestly, when it comes to doctors, I only make an appointment if there's no other way out. In a lot of cases, I find it better to research my condition myself and self-medicate.

The reason for this is not because I think I'm better than a medical professional, but most general practitioners knows a little about many things, and they're in no way specialist of anything, so a lot of the time it seems like the MD just scratch his head and prescribe some sort of pill so the patient should feel the visit was 'worth it'.

Another factor is that most health personell don't give a shit about you. You're what, one in n patients that day for that doctor, and he will never go the extra mile for you. He don't care or he don't have the time. You're the only one that has hours to search online or read books and learn about your condition, and you have a very good motivation, as it's your health.

And unless you go to an expensive private clinique, a visit to the doctor is usually consisting of a lot of waiting time, as they don't seem to respect and honour the time of their patients, and a lot of the times the doctors can't do much anyway.

I'm not dismissing the fact that health care providers can be of essential value at certain times, but going there too often for minor aliments, I'm not sure if there's any point to that.

And apart from that rant about doctors, I agree 100% with your advise. And yes, garlic is wonderful for the health. That's absolutely true. It can also be had in supplement form that supposedly removes the stench. It might be a bit weaker that way. However, if you cut it in pieces and swallow it, you might not smell that much from your mouth.

Exercise, breathing exercises, yelling, sex, etc.
These are the healthiest ways to get rid of stress. Exercise and sex are among the best I believe.

Just find out what's the limiting factor : money / time / Huh

Find out what the biggest expense across that is in time/money, what you can chop off, do, what you can't, keep or minimize.

And always eat fresh fruits/vegetables, eat healthy and find room for exercise.  Also just make your life more efficient... i.e. consider biking places (saves inf $$ from cars, you get exercise, ultimately saves you time across parameters if you think about it).

And then you are stress free.

Well I mostly agree with you. Thank you for contributing a valuable opinion.

Corrected my first sentence.

You're welcome. I'm glad you didn't get me wrong. I'm not against herbs. I drink herb teas like once a day but some of them can be really dangerous for some people especially under very unfortunate circumstances. The combination of two harmless chemical ingredients can produce a poisonous or similar side effect for example. The term "harmless" is highly dependent on the person. Hack, there are people who can't consume peanuts or strawberries. How unfortunate is that...

True. Melisa is a plant from herb group. It is scientifically proved it acts within human nervous system by lowering the electrical activity, since a brain is "forced" to move into alpha waves state. It greatly calms you down, and is very helpful while meditating. Melisa does also not make you addicted in any physical nor mental way. There are no side effects, no harm to your body or mind. Pure science.

Well I have no idea where you're from, but basically, melisa pills are a powdered extract from melisa plant's leafs. Those are avaliable at any drug store and mostly looks similar to these:

It doesn't matter where I'm from, I haven't seen such pills around here.
So basically it's herb based without side effects?

Answer on this is very easy. When you think that you have many problems, just relax, breathe deeply and, then think on something positive, do not let problems to get into your head again, so just continue same as before. Try also with sport or do something what you love. That can help for sure. At least I think so.

True, it has no side effects nor it makes you addicted. It simply cleans the fog out of your mind, setting it to deep alpha state. Honestly, coffee is more dangerous then melisa.
Sorry someone said that they were anti depressant pills, but they aren't right?
Could you find me a link to those pills?

meditate. it's scientifically proven to reduce stress and re-wire your brain. it takes a lot of work, so it's not for the lazy. funny thing is that the date that OP posted this was the  first day of a meditation retreat for me.

You can always buy some melisa pills, 100mg each and eat like 5 of them. It should bring a relief.
Such pills are a worse solution than smoking.

I do not think melisa is worst than smoking ... Melisa is a herb so it should be good for your health and much better than smoking.

Running is one of the slowest ways to burn calories.

I like running, it fits my lifestyle, but it's almost pointless in regard of weight control.

But it helps relieve stress if you're comfortably equipped.
Since when? HIIT running or cycling is the best and fastest way to burn them.

Yeah cycling and running are great calorie  burners.

Cycling is my favorite exercise.
So nice to be out when the weather is good.  Smiley

I cycle a lot too. Don't bother with public transport.
