Are you trying to say that you got the privet keys to the wallet? Then, you are lucky and you can enjoy the bitcoins. I feel sad for the real owner. But if you are a honest man, you shouldn't be taking it. It is your call. Perhaps you should share the amount to charity if you are going to empty that wallet. Your call mate!

where do you find it? if no one claims it all yours, try to donate some part of it in church or on foundation. Try to give me some too kidding, it is very big pleasure, a blessing coming from unknown, you should gave others what you have or what you get for free. share your blessings to the less fortunate not because you have plenty its because you know what they feels.

You found a money in the streets do you take it or other will take it? Of course take it don't be dumb to loss the opportunity unless you hack it. If I were you I will take the bitcoin because I am not a hero I am just an ordinary person be a practical. Just take it and leave you Don't steal it you earn it because you discover it. If you will not take it the others can so be practical nothing is wrong with that it's just like you found a money at the ground that is no one owns because many people pass by but you are the only one who see it. So take it because you see it.

try to import the private key in a online/offline wallet...
then try to send some btc...
if you are able to do that..
you can say "i have 40 btc"

He has got the private key in his hands what's more to do. It is same that he holding the bitcoin. He is lucky to get such a big number of bitcoin when the price is increasing and found above $1200.

Yes, it's online even now but I suspect the BTC must be withdrawn from all of those PDF paper wallets. Someone posted it on two forums and later posts were deleted from both forums but still, it is online on the third site. There is a link of a zip file and a password, but it's better to stay away if we want to avoid the complications.

P.S - Please don't PM me asking for the link, Google it. I don't want to mess with forum rules either.

You found the keys to a car. Can you take the car? Is it legal?

Don't be an idiot. The money is yours. It is not illegal to transfer bitcoin if you have the key to do it. Having the key means it is your bitcoin. Take it and transfer it to another address before another key holder does that.

Not really, what i would do is to donate 39 BTC to people who needs it. Like donating to projects everyone use, but no one donates to, like UNOMP, BCOIN, and many others. I would keep 1 BTC as a reward for fair distributing the funds.
But the question is, how did you found a private key in a forum, with 40BTC in the wallet ? normally as it is existing since 2011, it should have been aleready emptied.

Do you really think he would donate 39 btc and would give 1 btc to you.
As said please use this forum to help people with mature solutions.
The solution given by you sounds completely fake as if you are trying to show your image as a helpful person or so.
Please, act like grown ups and reply in a sensible manner.
And when it comes to using them , you can use them as it's the owners responsibility to keep his / her wallet safe.
