Now you have to decide whether to withdraw from the crypto market, accept losses, or whether you're willing to come back and fight.
I'm very optimistic about the development of encryption, but I'm certainly not going to give any advice.

Most likely now your losses are more than 50%.  Since February, the market has fallen even more.  My portfolio has dropped 10 times.  Now it's already too late to take out altcoins and fix losses.  We can only wait for growth when our current losses will turn into tomorrow's profits.

If you lost half of your cryptocurrecny amount the best you can do about this is to hold your investments or coins for the mean time to secured that it is safe just wait for the perfect timing to sell it.

I agree with you. by holding the coin, he can have a good chance to sell when the price is up and no matter if the price can increase in a long time, at least he can recover his money. but this will only work if he can the patient to wait for the price is up again. I am sure that many people still waiting for the price to get up so we are in the same situations.

I would chill and stay put.  I bet most everyone on this board has lost 50% from the high.  I know its tough right now but this is the time to man up and start buying.  Selling right now is a mistake upon a mistake.  We all made mistakes and got caught.  Being patient and hodling is the punishment.

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?

Your situation is actually very common in the crypto world. I will hold my coin, if I have confidence in them.
Recent price reductions are caused by funds, the market will recover after new investors enter and inject funds.

Well, admit it that was a huge mistake of yours. We cannot that fact. What you should do is learn from your lessons, never make those mistakes of yours again. Do such thing you could to avoid those mistakes you already did. Well, forget about it, the memories or so on. Because it would just crashed you out, and it might make you not to join to the crypto community again but never forget the lesson, it will guide you to success someday.

There is nothing you can do unless you change your thinking concept, that crypto is a long-term investment. The market will fluctuate, and will probably return to the highest point. So if you don't immediately need the money, then wait until the market recovers.

If you invest, but unfortunately you lose half of the capital, then the most important thing is that you should province and rebuild your plan so that you can have separate plans to recover the lost altcoin

Yes, I think most of us will experience a loss when we first start. This is a difficult lesson but it is important to learn to not trade emotionally.
Another important lesson to learn is patience, so hold your coins. Before you realize it, I can only say it like that.

The best way to return your money is to learn day trading techniques. Long-term investment in cryptocurrency is not highly recommended because cryptocurrency prices are very volatile and conversely short-term investments or day trading can be very profitable.

I would say the exact opposite.

Learn to identify when markets are driven by mania and when markets are worth buying into.

Use Bitcoin as your guide.

Don't exchange your good bitcoin for a shitcoin. Only buy it if you think it has something different or better to offer. (Not many coins reach that standard)

What does the coin have to offer in terms of innovation, development team, real world usage. How is it valued ? Look at the historic trends of the coin and that of symilar coins.

Buy it when it is low - then hold. The crypto market is young. Only buy quality coins. Hold onto them for a number of years not expecting to cash out.

Stay away from ICO tokens, HYIP coins, coins that get delisted from exchanges, coin-swaps, high pre-mines, lack of development, coin devs that refuse to admit their mistakes, pump and dump coins, lack of decentralization (exceptions are exchange tokens and tokens used for genuine business purposes)  or any other shady business.

Two types of coins will survive:
- those that will comply with legislation by Governments (as more regulation will be introduced) - Thus reputable, innovative and useful
- those that will withstand legislation by Governments - Thus private and decentralized.

I'm sure people made money day-trading Bitcoin. I know a few of them. Most of them sold their bitcoin when it was low and now regret it - as the bitcoin value went up they trade less and less in bitcoin quantity.  Their mindset is on fiat profit. Your aim should be increasing your bitcoin balance (regardless of its value).

Sometimes decision making like that is very difficult because it relates to our finances stakes. but what we need to understand from beginning that crypto is indeed risky should you all know how much risk is taken and never complain. there is nothing wrong with your step, because it's very normal so we have done it too

there is always an assumption that if bitcoin has to pass a certain correction limit to be able to continue to increase the rally, and the effect that must be seen is a very sharp price reduction, this is very detrimental to small investors including me, but seeing from last year is the potential for price increases always in the quarter IV and we must be more patient.

If you're still believing in your coins, then the only thing you can do is to hold and wait. You already lost the half of your money, then why not risk the other half to earn what's lost. The risk is still there since we are not sure if the market will rise again at the end of this year (let's just hope for the best). Well, you're the one to decide since it's your money.

Yes, we invested in this year's encryption market, and most people have lost a lot. Because the encryption market is very bad this year, the price of cryptocurrency has fallen very badly. I think if we want to reduce losses, then we should wait patiently for the market to rise and wait for the price to rise.

You have no choice than to wait,  provided you haven't sold already!  You are going to make your money back even with some profit,  if you are patient enough.  And another thing,  never forget the lesson learnt in all of these!

Indeed, at the beginning of this year, the cryptocurrency market is very much sagged, so many, including I lost part of my Deposit, but I do not despair and keep the coins, I do not want to sell them in the negative, and I think that very soon the market will rise, then you can make very good money!
