everyone in trading have at least made this mistake once,so you have to learn from this experience and try to not make the same mistake.Next time, you should research the coin that you want to invest, like the news of future update

I try to sell some coins that increase although I know that the increase of the price is not too high but at least, I can take a profit which I can use for buying other coins that might be profitable in the short-term.

Now you can not sell coins. It is better to wait for the market to recover and sell them afterwards, at least without losses. But I think this time will not come until 2019.

Right. Even in 2020, maybe the topic owner will not get the money he invested in 2017. Anyway, try to wait. Now that you sell will be extremely disadvantageous.

If that losses will you be afford to loss mate, just stay hold on it because many news comes that markets will be recover at the end of the year. And also just believe on it. Otherwise, if you think its time to cut your losses, just sell mate if you dont have enough of patience.

Now you are in the same position as most people who have just started to engage in cryptocurrencies. In this situation, you should analyze whether your coin can rise. But personally, my advice is to get out without loss and even with profit, you need to have patience and not to lose faith.

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
That's bad. I've experienced the same situation. I think most of investors have been got FOMO at least one time in their investment. the matter is what will they do after that? Well, Its depend on the way of the investment. In long term investment, you should remain holding this coin if its potential project. In short term investment as trading, Selling this coin in right time is not bad idea. My recommendation that you should sell this coin at the temporary high price then keep buying a potential coin at top 10.

Exchange ripple to ETH then contribute in an ICO, Believe and Hodl soon it will all start to pay back. you just have to be patient. 2019 is a big year for Crypto. Alot of projects coming alive with products they promised to develop.

This is very unpleasant, although I do not know what it is. However, the main thing is not to lose the remaining investment. Save them is more difficult.

You just say so, but a person lost half of his deposit, I think that there is a very large amount, because it often happens that people simply do not say the amount because they are really afraid to voice it

Make up for your losses by trading and participating in bounty programs. I also lost quite a large amount of money on altcoins but I see no reason to panic, in any case, the growth will sooner or later

If there is an opportunity in such a situation it is better to buy more, and if there is no possibility to wait for the best prices in the market. You may have to wait for months, but I believe that a reversal on the altcoins is inevitable.

I think if we are in this situation, buying more is never a good idea when we can not determine exactly where the situation is happening and can happen in the next time because loss of half the amount is not a small figure, that proves our investment and our plans have a problem. We are forced to handle questions and problems, analyze everything to find the causes that led to this loss, should not rush as you say, the reversal of course is yes but it can come or not, and to what extent is still an unpredictable

Actually very simple, you buy, and sell at a higher price. But maybe that's even the hardest thing to do when the market moves against our will.
But of course you have to wait, because if you go out, maybe you will not have a chance to finish the game.

You're just not lucky, because it comes in when crypto is at the peak of the price. At that time maybe all the coins look very good.
But of course the market has a limit, and correction is the normal response of any increase.
But the market is still there, and will continue to fluctuate.
So if you are patient enough, maybe you will arrive at another peak, even higher.

Do not sell anything and wait until the market starts to grow rapidly. And he will begin to grow for several months. And most likely growth will be stormy.

I would have recommended that you put a stop loss of 20%.
Smaller losses always turn into bigger losses if they are not managed.

Since you've already held on the way down and losing 50%, suggest to hodl now but do monitor the market.
No one can really say if 6K was the btc bottom or there's another one coming - 4K.
