If this happens in the crypto-currency world nothing will happen. The price is not an indicator of the success of the crypto currency. The success of the crypto currency is measured in technological breakthroughs.
In my opinion, ethereum can reach a price which is equal to price of bitcoin in the future, but on the other hand, I think this can take a few years.
I know there is a high chance that ethereum price will exceed that of bitcoin but it won't be that fast. Because ethereum at $1,200 is already equal of the overall value of all bitcoins. Maybe if ever this happens it will take years.

I think if the price of ETH exceeds BTC it may be because I know the current price of ETH and BTC is decreasing hence from now we can invest between two coins, and thus, for now, this possibility of ETH will not be able to exceed the price of BTC because soon the BTC price will return to a stable price
If that happens a lot of us would be millionaires by then. But it would have to take a gigantic leap for that to happen. I am not saying that is impossible i am also not sure when will it happen. It can happen yes, that is a possibility. It would be a exciting not only to witness it but to be a part of that growth.
I think it is possible but it could take a lot of years before ethereum overtake bitcoin's position as a no.1 cryptocurrency and if that happen, other altcoins will now have the big chance to become the king of crypto also if they overtake ethereum. The ranking will not be based on a current price of cryptocurrency but on its total market capitalization.

The price of etherium will never overcome bitcoin price as bitcoin has very lower supply then etherium.High supply of etherium can not make its price higher than bitcoin. If the marketcap of etherium maybe more make sense overcome bitcoin marketcap but not the price.

If one-day Ethereum price can exceed the price of Bitcoin, of course, this is good news for crypto. according to my price bitcoin can not find coins that are able to exceed the price, the reason being bitcoin is the first coin develops with the investor backed by the coin. while eterum can be categorized altcoinnet unlikely in my opinion can reveal bitcoin prices.

There maybe no huge difference regarding on their status right now but we dont know in the future . there is a big posibility that etherium can surpass the legacy of bitcoin because etherium is also a good coin with lots of potential to succeed. Many platforms that supports etherium and infact almost all alts and other erc20 coins are backed under etherium. while bitcoin is only a stand alone crypto that is only built for payment purposes.
Eth is definetly a big hindrance to the success of bitcoin. But if ever eth can win the battle, many people will still be thankful for it because both coin are still superb .

I do not think that this could happen due to the total supply of each currency, but it could be the case of a big collapse that makes the price of bitcoin fall dramatically, while the price of ethereum could remain relatively stable, which could lead to ethereum have a higher price than Bitcoin, although this scenario seems quite unlikely. What seems a little more credible is that in a medium term ethereum can displace the bitcoin in the marketcap.

Ethereum might the potentials to exceed the price of bitcoin but it won't exceed the price of bitcoin cause it still trade against bitcoin and a lot of coin have been created which have the same features as ethereum so there some kind of competition betwey ethereum and those coin.
