The ICO market is not regulated but when the project struggling to raise enough funds ( do not reach the soft cap ) they usually
prolonging the sale and if they fail they should cancel the ICO and return the investments. Unfortunately, in practice we have
many situations that they collect the  money and disappear.

If it is a legit project, all investors will be refunded their money back, if they are unable to reach the soft cap. However, if the project is a scam project, they may fail to refund back your money. An extensive research on the project before you invest is very much essential.

Be Careful if you want to join ICO project . if the ICO's fail you will lose all your money.
But , if you choose right ICO to investing in you will made profit.

Yes we need to be very careful while investing in ICO project because there are lot of scammers in the market which we might not know but we need to be very careful and investing partial amount in ICO. If ICO fails there is less chance of getting refund so choose right ICO forum which will help you to make profit...

There are many ICO is running at the same time. Maximum ICO can't be success. So, if I invest in any ICO and if they can't be success then what will happen with my money? Will they give me back me my money or not? I am so confused. So, please kindly inform me.

Thank You Everyone.
Today I participated in a number of ICO projects, and there are almost no refunds, unless the project is reported as illegal, it is possible to refund.

many of the ICO are indeed popping up and even has the concept that is almost the same. investors in this project that will determine the ICO can succeed and fail. When the incoming investment certainly fails all of them must be returned to investors. with a heavy heart and it certainly will have an impact for the bounty hunter because they will not accept paid for their work.

If ICO failed, they should MUST return all investor money to right owners. Unfortunately many ICO do not do that, ICo investors are not protected by law, many investors are scammed everyday because they invest in scam project.

If they are not scam ICO, they might return back your money. Else, the money is going to disappear with them.

Since it is a failure, you have to pay the price, your investment funds will disappear, and no one will pay for your investment failure. This is a cruel game, newcomers are not suitable for ICO investment, too many project newcomers are unable to separate the future of the project.

If an ICO fails its no fault of you the investor so you will definitely get the amount invested back. If they do not pay back your monies then probably they might be scammers in action. Whatever be the case insist on your principal.

There are several options and strategies that occur when an ICO does not reach the soft cap, they usually extend it until they reach it but if they do not ultimately do it, many times the project grants a refund in a limited time for its investors, sometimes the ICO was a scam in reality and ends up escaping with the money of its investors, but it is a rather small portion of the icos.

Most of the time, the tokens of the failed projects are wasted and investors are left with a stingy chance to recover what they lost.

If you invested in a fraud project , unfortunately it will go into dust. But if the team has the really a good intention from the very beginning and they don't reach their target funding they will return your investment, but you have to be updated from the team announcement.

What will happen next depend on the kind of ICO you are in,if the ICO is genuine, then you will get your money back but if is not genuine then maybe you have to move on.My advice is that don't just invest in ICO,make proper research of the project before investing.

I think if ICO fails, they will give the investor money's back while many of them are disappearing with the money. I see that if they have a good team, even the project does not reach their goals, they will give something to their investor and of course, they will give the money too. But it's hard to find this good dev and teams because we only see that they are run away with the investor's money without any announcements of what is going on with the project, and it makes many people sad.

If the project is legit and they are unable to raise their softcap, after the announcement what they will do is to return the funds of those that have invested in it before and later seek the way to go about it either by self funding the project, getting fund from institutional and private investors or closing down the project indefinitely.

Depends on when it fails. If it fails before even getting enough funding most of the time the blockchain of ethereum returns the money back to the investors and the case gets closed, sometimes the ICO either tries with lower funding request or tries to improve the already suggested version to include more stuff so it can look better and retry for the same amount.

However if it is failed after they get funding than there the problem starts. They either take the money and spend time on it and fail and just tell people "sorry we tried" in which case some people see it as bad investment and others see it as scam. The bad part sometimes they might actually be a scam and than take all of your money and just run with it either telling they were "hacked" or they just simply do nothing about it. It is a marvelous thing there are ones that actually made us money between all these bad ones.

Usually if project don't reach soft cap, the team suddenly disappear with your money. But there are also another type of ICOs which make refunds to theit investors.

If ICO fails people will realize how volatile the market is because the making of a coin will be harder which means only the one who wants to do it will get in the market not like right now even a scam coin can get in.
