If ICO doesn't reach softcap, you will get money back or they just scam. If they hit in exchange and the team abandon the project midway you should sell it now before it go lower. All are bad situations.

There are some ICO failed to collect money by soft cap target,  and usually before they start to collect money from investor,  there are will be information from them,  if they will be return the money if they does not reached softcap, like Korona ICO. And we can ask for this in their telegram  official  group. But there are also some ICO that not reached soft cap but the token will be tradeable on the exchange,  like Level.net.

If ICO failed you have two options - sell before its dump harder or keep holding hoping it will be growing after weak hands sell their coins, I usually preffer second option, but its to you to decide

if the team from the project is trusted, they will refunds the money to all contributors
and sometimes the others solutions if the ICO failed is with airdrop, so all token will be distributed for free, and all ICO contributors will receive more token or coins. but, this way will make the price down when hit the market.

if ico extend the public sale dates you can not take back your money. after extending period still soft cap not reached, the investment amount probably refund.
Good thing if they would decide to make a refund but tendency or chances of a project to be a scam is there. So it isn't still sure if they would decide such thing and as an investor this would really be like gambling at all. The only possibilities to happen next when an ICO fails is that either they would extend or just make a pure refund or just ran all of the money and investor should really be aware because if you don't ready up yourself into negative things might happen then you would really hardly to accept such loss of money.

If you happened to be in a scam ICO then you won't be able to get back your investment. If the company running the ICO is legitimate then you don't have to worry for all investors will be refunded or even extend their ICO for more exposure to the community by doing bounty campaigns or signature campaigns to get their name out to the public and possible investors.

Whether ICO or not ICO is not at all critical. There are projects funded by investment funds that need no ICO. The implementation of the project to the public has many methods. I think the most popular method is the ICO, which will diversify the investors, more people know about that project

Hey! Usually if the project doesnt reach the softcap all money are  returned to sender, but that applies to smart contracts based on the ethereum blockchain. The money are returned automatically. In other ico it happens not always)

If they are legit but they couldn't collect amount that is needed to start the project they will give back your investment.
If they are scammers they can run away with your money. There's no regular law for this situation.

There are many ICO is running at the same time. Maximum ICO can't be success. So, if I invest in any ICO and if they can't be success then what will happen with my money? Will they give me back me my money or not? I am so confused. So, please kindly inform me.

Thank You Everyone.
Generally, ICO has a soft cap, and if this one isn't reached the project refunds the participants, but this doesn't happen always
