I'm asking out of curiosity, are you guys experiencing a surge of gambling ads on youtube videos lately? this past week I've experienced an increased encounter of gambling ads on videos I watch on youtube. it's not that it bothers me, I am just surprised because I don't remember getting this many gambling ads on youtube videos in the past, but this past week, I usually get a gambling ad from 2-3 out of 5 videos I watch(it's just an estimation because of how often I get the ads). I don't know if it is because I recently watched several videos of streamers gambling or it's just a coincidence, I've watched streamers gambling videos in the past but I have never gotten this many gambling ads.

I did not noticed since I have ads blocker installed in my browser.  But it is logical to see an increase of gambling adds in Bitcoin, after most of the twitch streamer migrated on Youtube for their stream, it is possible that Casinos see this as an initiative to put up gambling ads on youtube.

The increase in the Ads sponsored by gambling sites is a result of a surge in the cryptocurrency gambling industry and this could be seen in the way the new casinos are being launched and introduced into the market, casino business has witnessed a wide range increase in adoption since the covid luck down, and a lot of them are spending good money in advertisements.

So, youtube is one of the popular social media where casinos promote their companies in the form of Ads which interrupt streamers' videos just to promote their own business.

It is not only that, many take advantage of Twitch streamers moving to Youtube for their gambling streams.

Gambling ads mostly depend on the regional data. In my country we have got a big number of gambling platforms, and we can see ads related to gambling quite often. In recent days this has got decreased as our state have banned gambling platforms. Most of the times ads pop based on what we are watching and based on the area in which we've made more searches. Once we start reporting as inappropriate or repetitive, we can avoid getting those video ads.

Just to add, even random YouTube content creators advertise their own local casino and integrate it at the end of their videos.

I remember I was watching this creator on YouTube where he regularly posts prank videos which are funny as hell. But at the end of his every video, he was advertising this online gambling casino in which I believe is that he is a part of the admins on such website. It really destroys the whole image on how he created himself as this "funny guy" then suddenly he is now sharing ads of gambling platforms.

The funny thing is, after seeing his advertisements, the YouTube video ends with an ad which advertises another online gambling mobile application. It is just ridiculous at this point to see everything related to gambling.

I haven't.

This is probably the algorithm that they have and whatever you used to watch and search, that's what the algorithm will show you. But I do get this a lot of time on Facebook videos but most of those are not the algo type but more of sponsored videos that they put it at the end of their videos.

If you're using Google Chrome which is another counterpart company of YouTube then that's it, the algo ticks on your browsing and watching activity.

Gambling ads are common when I am watching local YouTube videos. It is not new to us in my country. I believe that is how it would also be in many other countries. The YouTubers, especially the comedians are getting money from the gambling sites and also using their promo code to advertise to get more money, they see it as a lucrative means to make money as the gambling sites are playing well many of them.

Many kids and teenagers are exposed to gambling this way.
