Yes, BTC is at the top. But you can make profits from alts too. Like Ethereum, IOTA, Ripple and Stellar.
Indeed, investment in altcoin. Most altcoins are just starting and who knows maybe the altcoin you've invested in will be the next bitcoin.
We need to stop thinking like that bitcoin is bitcoin, and altcoins are altcoins, there is not going to be an altcoin that mimics the success of bitcoin, bitcoin is not going to disappear and it is unlikely it is going to be surpassed by any coin so altcoins will need to find their own identities and to stop marketing themselves as the new bitcoin.
Investing in altcoins is much bettern than investing in BTC for the long run,if you invest 1000 dollars in btc last january 2017 it will be $5k but if you invest in litecoin or neo which is cheaper it wil be more than x 15
Since contracts futures have been created on the BTC, it seems BTC will not explode as before, so better to invest in Alts while BTC is under $20k. There are plenty alts which will make x5 or x10 in coming months which BTC will not do. You can see at QSP, BLUE, BTX, AION and XSPEC, all these are undervalued and are leaders in their fields.
Currently, you can and should invest in alts. But you need to approach it with your head, analyze coins, that would be in profit
Altcoin would give you higher gain compared to other coins. However, you have to agree with the term "high risk high return". You can turn into a millionaire after a short time or lost all your investment within few days - it depends on what project you invest in.

Yes it is still worthy, IMO. I am much confident that investing in altcoins is still worthy despite bitcoin's price surge. I have a friend of mine who invested in one of the newly generated altcoin which earned him 1BTC in just a span of few days.

Indeed the growth of btc is unstoppable. It will grow even more. The downside is the transaction fees. If you want to invest in alts you may do so. Whats interesting about the alts is that the fees are less. In 2 months time we cannot guarantee immedaiate growth. Nxt seems to give a good name in the alts. It has if im not mistaken increased about 4folds.

Altcoin is also good to for the future growth. It help to the future inveatment. This coin 2nd one it will increas the prices day by day. But some time it will go down. So this also not stable prices. It any time to change. Bitcoin will go down altcoin will be increas the prices. So it will change the prices. So it good opportunity for the furure improvements.
Well I can advice you to invest in bitcoin and altcoins in 50/50. You'll have a foundation with bitcoin and you can also experiment with trades and sales by altcoins.

In my opinion, investing in altcoins is good and bad. In the long term, it's better to invest in BTC but you can make some great gains, swing trading alts. Basically, buy alts to get more BTC in the end. I see couple long term hodl altcoins but they are hard to come by.

In general, the BTC will go up with the rise of ETH and LTC, then the crazy rise of Altcoin, followed by a sharp drop.
Both of Bitcoin and altcoin are still worth now. Their price has fallen down very much and this is the suiable moment to buy them. Siacoin, Digibyte, Ripple, IOTA,...
Yess it still worth to buy altcoin, but we need to be smart whenever you want to buy, and dont panic if the price goes down and dont sell it directly when the price pump up. Because it is a long term investment and you will get a big bucks
Of course its still worth. Specially Eth and Lite. These coins are growing almost as fast as Btc and still have a cheap value and is expected to grow more in the early months of 2018.
Its true that bitcoin is unstoppable but an investment in altcoins is also a good one because you can also make huge profit on your investment in altcoins. For instance those that were fortunate to participate in Antshare ICO are now millionaires in crypto.
