You're right mate, investing with ICO is absolutely having a high risk especially if a certain product is just not working already. Mostly ICO's today are failed due lack of participation from the community cause of some bad experience fro other ICO's. Hopefully their trust will back again.

If you will take a look at Welltrado project you will see that they have an already working prototype. However it's not the only one factor why I decided to buy Welltrado tokens. As with other projects I'm checking their team and history (what they have accomplished in the past).

Decentralized Security - DIW

I would consider checking out DIW Token before the ICO ends, it still has 1 more week until ICO end. ICO end date is 31st of May. But something else has come to my attention which i want to share with our community.

I just wanted to mention that I read an article regarding DIW's ICO final phase and that they will introduce to the public a part of the development of their platform (read below).

I wanted to follow up and confirm this, so, an admin who happens to be one of the developers of the DIW platform informed me that the development of the DIW platform is already underway and that the Alpha stage will be released ahead of schedule. This means that we will have Alpha stage of the DIW platform before the ICO ends, before the 31st of May instead of after the ICO as originally planned out. A code will be added to Github for everyone to view just like the article states and we will be able to talk about the platform as it develops in the DIW group.

Let me know your thoughts on this!

if you want to invest in the ico look at their income whether it has reached the target, I think the ICO will be successful with income now has reached 30m usd. so do not hesitate to invest in an ICO that has got a lot of investors

As I understand you are pretty skeptical with investments to ICOs. Do you have any experience (good or bad)?

This is not only the basis of checking if the new ico is a legit one. You must need to see every angle, what if the WP is a plagiarized? even if it is 30 - 50 pages. Having a booth in every event is one of my way to see if the project is legit. And of course if the team is entertaining their investor.

You have more carefully before joining at an ico project and you have check not only on website but also you have check at their team and the most important you have check the owner an ico. Investing in ICOs are a very good way to make money as it gives you a chance to buy a coin at a very low and cheap rate and then when the coins are listed on exchanges, they get listed with their original prices which you bought below it before and then you can sell for a lot of profit or you might decide to wait for a while longer

As I found on Welltrado website they are planning to buy tokens from the holders and later burn them. In this way token price will appreciate.

I think if you want to invest in ICO better you see the white paper and see the implementation team and so you can see the good project there, therefore you should be careful investing in ICO, and I advise you to invest crypto because many promising projects and altcoins

Ico investment is doing investment in early stage to get low price and try to sell it higher after listing. However its high risk and maintain in your mind that fact that there is a possibility for the project to fail and for you to end up losing your money.
Dont only think the profit but the loss too. However this is the fast way to get profit or loss.
