not all ico we invest will promise, we must first see the prospect ico is in the future to be able to know whether ico is promising for the future or not at all, because many ico that failed so we must really choose ico which is good for us investation.
Yes so basically investing into ICOs projects is still promising to rise the values of money in ICOs
unfortunately to find great ICOs that has good pontential in the future is not easy to be done,
we must really doing research about the ICOs before making investment into it.
The big problem when choose the good ICOs is on the method analysis fundamental not all of the people who know about it,
even some people doesn't read whitepaper of ICOs when the ICOs is failed, they blamed the ICOs.

Recently, I think some projects with clear roadmap and low token hardcaps are suitable for investment. Since the ETH price is rising, the ICO market is recovering.

I personally don't believe in these Shitty ICO's. Most of ICO's are frauds or Scam, still, if you find any ICO attractive and want to invest in it then do investigate the team very keenly. Nowadays, Team's authentication is must in an ICO. The second consideration should be product offered or website.

I believe if the group is solid, the product is one thing I can tell which is clearly not only a concept, then it's really worth seriously considering.
The group is not enough to rely on because people can make fake information and expect people to look at that then invest without a worry.

well it happened before where fake information has been provided just to attract a lots of investors, its always a good way to look for the usage of the project and uniqueness of the service offered, dev team is also important knowing who's behind the project and what are their achievements and contributions inside the crypto industry.

Totally agree with you. Factors like Team, Market opp., Token model must be considered before putting your hard earned money.

One of the best way to avoid SCAM is a thorough background check of an ICO. If the company has proven records and a great advisory panel then chances of being a scam is minimum. However scams are usually attractive and they try to deceive people by showing false data. So you should research a lot before thinking about any ICO.  Smiley

I am a person that gains profit from investing in ICOs but now I'm having second thoughts. I know some ICOs are potential scam so I am really picky to where I put my money.
Anyway, considering with what happened to Ethereum price and with the nearing Aigist 1, do you guys think that it will still be profitable to invest on ICOs mostly on ERC20 tokens and those accepting btc payments?
No I would say 99 out of 100 ICO's are not at all promising. Especially the ERC20 tokens. These types of shitcoins are just made by some lusty people to attract a group of fools and get some money from them. I have not seen any ICO since last 3-4 months which could be seen as a promising development to blockchain community. All of them just come up with an aim of raising money for their shitty blockchain in almost every sphere. Moreover the worst part is that these ideas just never come into implementation. So I am really done with ICOs

Yes, it is still profitable.  Check an ICO that is launched by an existing, successful company who's nature of business is similar to the project.  Check https://lh-crypto.io/ to see for yourself.  I'm investing to it because the project is very feasible and because of the bonuses (cashback etc) it provides.

It looks promising but invest in good ICO is risky as well because there are many and many new ICO coming now a days so some scam ICO also might be there so before investing in any ICO you have to check all the details of that project well like why the offering the coins and what problems will be solved with this project and what is the future of that coin and how long its will be and also check the white paper and the developer team of that coin.

ICO's are a great way to put your money in good use. Just think of the alternatives. Investing in the S&P which is a traditional index with the five hundred biggest companies in the US will get you an average return of about 8%, which is very low. In contrast BTC had a return of about 800% this years and ether about 2000%. The risk reward ratio is definitely worth risking some of your money. Yes ICO's are very speculative and you run the chance of losing your invested capital, but the fact that you can multiply the initial invested capital by a thousand fold makes the risk more than worth it. Fact is that many people have become millionaires thanks to ICO's and many have lost all of their money. It's up to you to decide which kind of investor you are goin to be.

I think investing in ICO will always be promising if you choose correct projects very carefully and diversify risks.

Yes, actually investing in ico's are also risky because you never knew if their coin has really a potential or not. You can always for the coins to be released in market so you can buy those coins on a half value.

you can gain much profit in investing to ico, but first you need to fact check first, research your ass out and be ready to risk your money.
currently the bitcoin is worth 8k usd and you need it to make 16k used to x2 ur money.
if your lucky enough you can double your money in ico.

And it gets harder each day. Even high profile projects can lose value after the ICO.
There's a lot of ICO but only few potential investors and most of them are looking for instant profit so they will prefer to buy coins or invest in project
that is already in a good trading site because they know a good trading volume will help the value of the project to appreciate.

Yeah most wants quick bucks.
But there are some inevestors investing money on long term solid projects.
Hope that kind of invetors will take the control.

You're right, there're a lot of scammers. But your profit depends on the project you choose. Always conduct your own market research, see what people write on the forum. For example, now in the market it is profitable to invest in cloud mining and VR/AR gaming. But see so that the cloud-based service provides flexible tariffs and a multi-currency wallet
