I choose bitcoin because it is more famous than ethereum and many businesses adopt bitcoin as their payment option while ethereum has a different purpose regrading smart contracts. There is more demand to bitcoin than ethereum that's why my investment is in bitcoin. Many people still does not know cryptocurrency in general but knows bitcoin and sometimes when they hear certain coin that is not bitcoin, they would still refer to it as bitcoin. It is already a household name for the people who knows about digital currency. Ethereum may become valuable in the future but still my money is on bitcoin because more and more developments are happening involving bitcoin.
that's also how i look at it mate even eth have its own identity but when people who doesn't have knowledge about crypto they will think that you are talking about bitcoin even you are mentioning eth as they only exposed with bitcoin as a crypto currency, there's a lots of possibilities to happen so eth also got a lots of potentials. split or give maybe a portion of your investment to eth just in case.

I think Ethereum is good for investment. It has a real purpose in Blockchain technology and EEA is growing everyday. Once it gains traction it's price will sky rocket. Bitcoin may grow double its value but that will just be 100% gain
for me, investment in the Bitcoin is better than any other platform. day by day Bitcoin is becoming a popular platform for making the profit. Bitcoin trading and Mining are the most profitable platform in the digital world. I don't say that Ethereum is not a profitable system but in comparison to Bitcoin platform, ethereum is potential but not profitable as much as Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a digital currency while Ethreum is public block chain platform, I choose bitcoin to long terms of investment. For me bitcoin is more stable and the price continuously increasing.

For long term investment, ethereum will be a better choice over bitcoin. Bitcoin has already established its value and almost playing between $3,000 and $5,000 in the last few months. That will give trouble to people who would like to buy but doesn't have much money.Ethereum, on the other hand, has cheaper price compared to bitcoin, and is playing between $300 to $450 in the last few months. In fact, it is in its lowest price this week at $294. Another thing is that ethereum price can jump at a snap of a finger (well, this is something figurative). If you are looking for a long-term investment and want to buy coins, ethereum will be the ideal one.

I agree, why not both? If you can invest both then do it, there is no reason to choose between the two especially if you can do invest in both coin. We know in bitcoin there is no stable price, you can split your money for the two coin.

BItcoins are not actually stable , it has a fluctuating value.
Yes bitcoins are continuously growing in long term , so is ethereum.
Number of users of ethereum is also increasing day by day , well most of them are bitcoins users investing in ethereum. People believe in ethereum that it would gain as much as bitcoins or even more than BTC so they invest in it.
We cannot say what will happen in future but with this rate of increase in users ETH may surpass bitcoins . Obviously it would be very hard for ethereum to do so but the thing is that they have that potential .
People are now looking for bitcoins more of currency then an investment , and ethereum as an investment by using bitcoins.

go invest on both coins and youl not regret it, because both of them had a potential and more likely to pump in the future. divide your funds 50/50 ( 50% on etherium and 50% on bitcoin ) in that way you can maximize your profit on both coins if both of their value would rise or would pump.
The best option is to invest in ethereum because you can still convert it to bitcoin and as such you still get a profit from both double altcoin.
invest in ethereum and bitcoin is the best investment right now and if we have for example $1000 then we can split half for bitcoin and the other for ethereum. but it is difficult if finally you decide to use the bitcoin and ethereum to daily trading because you might get reduce the amount if you get loss. but at least you have a chance to increase the amount of both so if you have profit then surely the amount will become bigger than before.

And there are rumors that some of the developers are actively dumping their coins. Anyway, the ETH exchange markets lack the clarity and transparency possessed by the Bitcoin markets.
I have BTC sitting in my reserve and I like ethereum in general. Ethereum has so many more applications, especially the token being built on the blockchain. UnikoinGold is a perfect example of that. Great idea and Mark Cuban behind them. A must-see.

Why not invest in something new altogether? A lot of the new coins go up even 200% or more.

I think its better to invest in low value crypto currency. I would suggest to invest in ethereum because as we can see now the value of eth is low compared to bitcoin. Its good for long term because the value of eth might get high when the time comes like bitcoin before. But it will depends also on the price of eth because we cannot determine what will happen in the future.

Ethereum is undervalued for its price right now, eth has the capability to even go up to 1000$, bitcoin may also go up but is more volatile than eth in what i have observe, much safer to invest in ethereum than bitcoin if you are in long term hold.
