Yes it is safe to participate in ICO.
You should first examine what would be your gain in the future of your coin. And what the realistic project role of that kind of coins in crypto cycles of business and transactions. The big possibility of coins to raise from others.

In any investment, complete safety never happens. Especially in the ICO, where it is generally recognized the existence of really big risks for investors. Nevertheless, ICO has been and remains very attractive for investors, because the coins created in their process are sometimes quite useful and give a very good profit in the future.

I increasingly hear the complaints of newcomers to ICO projects. And that's why I'm afraid to invest there. It seems to me that there are a lot of scammers out there and I will lose my money.

Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.
It can be deny that ico was the major things where you can get a lot of money, also can take away your capital investment if you partake in the ico which is not a good project. But if you choose an ico were it is  looks promising together with the dev and their team is very active that project has a highest chance to become a successful campaign in the end maybe.

Just don't invest anything you absolutely cannot lose. Try to find ones that are using smart contracts to automate things too so they can't just change their minds. Pinkdate does this.

Interesting you should bring them up. I'm already in on the pre-ICO.

Not 100% safe. Actually we can benefit from ICO, because we can buy coins from developers cheaper than when the coin entered the market. If you want to follow ICO you better learn first about the ICO you want to follow, learn the team that develops as well as their goals.

In fact, this depends on the ICO you invest in. I will describe it like this: We can understand whether an ICO is reliable by looking at the former work of team members.

Participating in ICO could be a good opportunity instead. In all things, risks will be involved. It's the matter of how you define safety, especially in cryptocurrency world. As far as I know, ICOs are safe. You just need to make sure that you don't join a scam. Make sure to do a lot of research before joining. Just telegram discussions on these ICOs and see it from there as well. Might be also helpful to know if these are good to invest in.

A few months back, the ICO scene was much more robust. Many of the ICOs had qualified and talented guys promoting them, and a number of major investors were showing interest. But this has completely changed now. The number of new ICOs has increased quite rapidly, and at the same time the quality has gone down the drain.

HI,

If you are able to catch some good project, with a good team i think its safe enought to invest.
Some of the good projects with good team will also fail in price because most of it is derived from nothing but pure speculation. Good ICO with zero token use cases in other words ICOs that are raising money just for the sake of crowdfunding will die in the long term because people will eventually realise that they are betting on worthless things and prices will crash hard.

ICO is a very risky but highly profitable way of an investment. And you should understand that by participating in ICO you can either get a big jackpot or lose a deposit. If you decide to invest in ICO then invest only amount that you can afford to lose.

There are risks involved of course. Always do the excellent research about ICO. Proper quality research still helps a lot in making good, and quality decisions on any ICO one want to participate.

Not really, I had a couple of examples when the tokens felt in price right after the ICO reached the hardcap so it's not about a 100% chance to win. Nevertheless you may get 200% income or even bigger, that turns people to go crazy of that investments.

However, in most cases jurisdictional purviews are quite on the antagonistic rear, as most nationalities do not permit their citizens to participate in an Initial Coin Offering that has not gone through the formal economic scrutiny by the representative legal and financial agents. While this may seem to be a drawback, it only sets back the crowd sales in those regions alone.
