I haven’t been using MyEtherwallet for a long time yet. I changed this service on another platform Metamask. In addition to it I use hardware wallets, mostly Trezor. On my mind this is best way to keep money securely.

The security of the mew wallet is very good, I think the hacked cases are mainly due to fraud and the careless man himself reveals the private key. Mew is hard to hack private keys.
There has been a lot of hacking going on in the recent past, and web based wallets are not as safe from them as we want to believe, as they are exposed to to the Praying eyes of the hackers. This includes MEW. but as long as its properly encrypted and all the possible security measures followed, then you should just be fine. Its however advisable to invest in the hardware wallets instead

Just use Myetherwallet for viewing balance only, not for sending tokens or eth. For better security, use metamask.
You can import your existing myetherwallet to metamask, or create a new wallet in metamask. You don't need to put your private key on metamask.
Good wallet but it is not necessary to use the private key ! Buy trsor and will not have problems !
Been using MyEtherWallet for a few months now, I haven't had any problems and it's been pretty straightforward and easy to use so far. Didn't even hear about the team changes until someone here mentioned it, so as far as I'm concerned it's a smooth transition.

so far, mew still safe and secure for me and I think all bounty hunter still save their tokens in mew. I think mew's team will securing their site from every attacker that might want to attack their site. as long as you can keep your private keys for your mew account, you are fine and don't share your private keys to other people that you don't trust. it is our job to secure our account so we can feel safe and we are not losing our tokens.
The development teams are working and doing everything possible to keep our wallets safe. MEW is a secure wallet, but you should always check the URL address and follow all security the precautions.

As the split between the team behind MEW then I switch to MyCrypto.com. Its from the creators of the established MyEtherWallet this new web browser wallets made me few safer, faster than MEW alot beside huge scam and phishing MEW website 
if you use MyEtherWallet login with Metamask or even better Ledger or Trezor you are quite safe because you have to confirm every transactions.

So far for two years that I have been using myetherwallet up to this moment I haven't had any issues specially regarding my fund's security issues. It has been doing well and I don't think they will let their credibility be tarnished now that they are well established in the cryptocurrency community.
i have been using MEW for two years now nothing. people should learn to stop clicking links anyhow, it leads to hacking
MEW is always safe to use I know this very well, just the user of MeW is expected to be vigilant and make sure they are not logging in to phisy site.
I also use MEW, so far I feel that I am safe in using MEW. My wallet has never been stolen or robbed and I also do not expect it to happen. Which can make our MEW wallet safe or not, yes we own. When we apply all the security with complete then our wallet will be safe. But, if we are careless especially in storing passwords that are not careful then it will bring harm to our own. Lastly, we must monitor the safety of our MEW wallet regularly to keep it safe.
