Yes product is very important more than project because people will only invest or buy your product if it was worthy of their money plus they also need an assurance that they will be getting benefits from your product.

Both are important. Taking your own example, where is Kickcity now.? They are in the "developing" phase for nearly 2 years now and still nothing practical has come out from them. Its hard to manage both project and product but to be successful you need both.

From research i made, product is irrelevant without good marketing, cryptocurrency care more about news, a project with no product is valued than some project with product with no marketing, that is market sentiment for you.

Just think if you will avail this product or service via consumer perspective. If you don't had any idea about the industry market then research is important.

Uniqueness is the best and if they have more features, stable network and working wallet.. I think this is the one that they need to have.

An ico with a working product certainly gives you more confidence than an ico without. I personally have more confidence in an ico with a finished product. But unfortunately that is not always the case and you have to trust that after the ico a product will be delivered.
