So the match is almost done ,with Conor Mcgregor signing the deal now it is just a matter of time that Mayweather will be signing the deal and it is really a puzzling match as Mcgregor is making his debut and Mayweather planning to win his 50th fight and reach a milestone,it is going to be a really bad day for Mcgregor but he will be crazy rich after the fight.

Lastest news from Floyd Mayweather is he was saying that he will be happy to sign his side of the deal after Conor signing his. He also said that he will first need to talk to his manager to see what their moves will be.
If it takes Floyd a very long time to sign that contract, when will we expect Conor to start talking trash on him? In 1 month or 1 week?

@pereira4. MMA has become a billion dollar sports industry. It is not a fad. If some people will say it is then I will also say that boxing is dead. Counter a false statement with another false statement.
The latest news is Conor has signed the contract to fight Floyd Mayweather. Dana White will now go to Floyd's manager and adviser Al Haymon to talk and convince him to sign the contract also.

Dana White will give the negotiations one last push. If he can reach an agreement with Conor and Floyd Mayweather soon then more negotiations continue but it is not an assurance that it will surely happen.
He also implied that the negotiations are already interfering with his job at the UFC.
“I think (the chances of a deal with McGregor) are pretty good. Hopefully Monday I’m going to sit down and negotiate with Team Mayweather. I just can’t keep messing with this thing. I have to run my business and I have to focus on all the other things that are going on around here.”

It would be stupid from all parts to not reach any sort of agreement. If there is any fight that can be bigger than Canelo vs triple G then that has to be the Mayweater vs McGregor one for sure, so if he wants to stay relevant for a long time he needs to get this done and then an UFC fighter will be part of history forever. UFC is yet to prove its not more than a fad and this would help.

@pereira4 It is time that McGregor show some guts to defend his belts,do you really know that he has not defended any one of his titles inside and outside of the UFC and you will never be considered as a champion if you really cannot defend your belt.The fight against Mayweather will make him millions and i am sure he might retire after the match without defending any of his belts. 
a fight with mayweather won't prove anything for mcgregor. if that fight pushes through at all, I don't think it would be as competitive as we expect it to be. it probably would be a boxing match and I don't think the skills of connor would be shown in full. might as well defend the belt in the octagon than waste time forcing a match with mayweather

I think Connor can still go back to UFC and continue to be a big star even if he losses to Floyd. And I think we will defend his belt against anyone, its that he is now chasing a fight with Floyd because of the big payday. But I don't know if he still has the enthusiasm or the energy we have seen him before to fight in UFC after getting a lot of money because of the Mayweather fight. Yeah, he might retire.
Of course he will go back after the Mayweather fight, he still has to fight some interesting UFC matches that the fans want to see, but after the Mayweather fight, he should be able to retire for life and live a pretty lavish lifestyle, of course not on Mayweather level, but lambos and mansions lifestyle, a couple at least. Not private jet lifestyle tho, you need 200+million networth for that.

He is out making big money with advertisements and now with boxing about to make more money in a night than all all nights of UFC. It's to be understood that he is doing what he is doing. If he goes on the UFC and has a bad night and loses, his cache will be damaged and he will not be able to demand 75 million for the boxing match and keep racking millions on ads.

If this fight will happen, then this would be great, of course! Mayweather is a world class boxer. But then again, rendering to this cutting-edge conference of Dana White, the UFC CEO, "So I would say don't expect anything for 2017, but 2018 would be the year, because if it gets delayed beyond there, it will be too late." Then for McGregor, he can go back to the UFC and win or lose? That doesn't matter besides he is so damn rich.

This proposed match is dragging the entire UFC for now as the division is still on a stand still with this proposed fight and it is really difficult to get everyone involved and make everyone happy when big money is involved ,this fight might happen next year and what i think is that McGregor has to vacate the title if he is not having any plans to fight in the UFC.
I don't think so. McGregor said that he was taking a break from the UFC anyway because he's having a baby. Fights keep happening and the UFC can live without Conor for a while. I think it will be good for him to get thins thing over We are going to see a great boxing match because there's too much money to not go 100% at it.
Once this is done, McGregor can go back to kicking some ass in the UFC and he will be so rich no mater if he wins or loses vs Mayweather.

Looks like the Floyd Maweather vs Conor McGregor fight was going to be o the same date as the GGG vs Canelo fight, so now the potential fight got postponed.
It was good to see Canelo beat Chavez Jr, it just shows how good Floyd was when Floyd made Canelo look like an amateur.

I see some progress, Dana used to say it's impossible, now he says he is trying and wants to do it. Fight is pretty much confirmed in my book for 2018, so remember this thread, whoever said it will not happen is wrong (unless something ridiculous happens like an injury)
This proposed match is dragging the entire UFC for now as the division is still on a stand still with this proposed fight and it is really difficult to get everyone involved and make everyone happy when big money is involved ,this fight might happen next year and what i think is that McGregor has to vacate the title if he is not having any plans to fight in the UFC. The fight is going to keep getting hyped until it reaches insane amount of all time high attention, then the dump will come in form of a fight thay me a flop but who cares, it will be fun watching them both on the ring and they will make a ton of money (and potentially us too by gambling on the biggest purse ever)

This huge thread on if that fight will actually happen just seems funny to me.
You are insane. This is a gambling forum and this fight will be the biggest price purse of all time. There will never be a fight this big with this much money. Billions of dollars will be on the betting casinos, it will the be all end all of bets. I predict all odds on Mayweather, so if McGregor wins people betting wins for McGregor will get rich.
I think 8:1 odds will be it.
