I just think why there is not a global solution for KYC, i.e. if I do KYC once for an ico, it can be used for different icos too...

If they want to know their personal data, the popularity of their companies will decrease significantly. And the Constitution has not been canceled. Why did we have to provide personal information to unidentified persons.

It is not such a bad thing, especially with all the thieves and bounty cheaters that run rampant in the bounty space. I have had a terrible time with cheaters trying to steal my work and my wife's name as well here on Bitcointalk forum because of our long reputation here and they are acting very badly. So for this reason, a certain level of kyc is required or for people at least to post all their details in a post in the thread.. That is another way to prove they are the real person versus the thieves who just join and put other usernames on the spreadsheets pretending to be us in order to get paid in airdrops and bounties which is disgusting behavior.

most ico's has airdrops and offering for their % share to the community has requiring kyc for the eligibility and claiming rewards. i they required that because user spamming and to filter fake accounts. thats why sad to say, many people are not eligible to from getting paid.

There's nothing surprising, almost all ICOs are demanded to go through KYC procedures now, it's quite logical that Airdrops follow them.

Your observations is correct and timely, naturally KYC is meant for investors and not for bounty hunters, investors KYC is needed because of the funds they are investing especially if the money is above $1000 any amount less should not attract KYC.

I think it's necessary for those who buy tokens, but for those who participate in a bounty campaign I think it's an excessive and very annoying measure

Airdrop is just a small amount of free coin for each individual. Why do people need kyc documents? When you join the facebook campaign some personal information is there then kyc needed? This is really quit unexplained and we do not know if they really hold our personal documents confidentiality. If it does not change, hoping there is evidence to sign that our personal data will not be provided to partners or other ICO projects.

I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.
im skipping airdrops like this, i understand when ICOs project asking for KYC, but airdrops worth 1-10 usd? no thanks, i will not give my docs for some bucks and anyone could use them. Better not to risk with such things

i dont like bounty campaigns and airdrop having KYC one purpose of kyc is to avoid money laundering why do we need to do kyc if we earned it by working we cant launder something we earned and probably they will sell your information to some advertising companies our information is probably worth more than the airdrop coins.

I have personally try to avoid submitting my own personal documents to companies in order to take part in airdrops, as you would never know what will the companies do with all your personal documents after they received it, and I think most of the companies does not even have a secure security system in place to protect those important documents of the participants.

In my opinion KYC in airdrops is not a necessary thing mostly because airdrop must be the way to get crypto with easy steps. KYC makes this process more difficult. That's why there will be less people who want to join airdrop, it's worse for projects

KYC is for bounty hunters is total bullshit. And KYC for Airdrop is even worse. I don't get it. How can anyone share their private information? It is not just stupid, it is recipe for disaster.

This is a great contradiction in cryptocurrency world. Everyone prefer crypto than cash because it's anonymous (or pseudonymous). If they (ICO founder) doesn't require KYC when buying tokens, bounty, blabla, the whales, cheater can easily buy and earn token. I fully understand their thoughts. To avoid manipulating the market of some individuals, I think KYC is necessary.
But you should know that you can't earn much money from airdrops. SO KYC IN AIRDROP is "bullshit". You shouldn't join it.

I never provide my KYC especially in airdrops because most airdrops nowadays are scam. Better avoid giving personal details because it is against the purpose of blockchain. At the sane time, some people after they receive the token they will sell it, though they don't have already their token their data still saved in database.

Airdrops are useless waste of time in 90% so what the point in sending some unknown guys your passport copies or driving license? It won't work that way

it is better to search another airdrop that doesn't use KYC to register because airdrop is for fun for every people which want to get free tokens. and if somehow they want to participants to fill the KYC, then we don't have to join and we can join in the other airdrops. maybe they want to know who is exactly the participants but I don't think that for using KYC is a good idea for the participants.

airdrop with KYC I think is not so profitable. You should be vigilant, especially if the form field is suspicious. Never take risks. because the airdrops result is not much. it should be easy too. does not require a KYC that needs this data and that. So I suggest looking for other airdrops only.
