I think this is a sign that you can participate in the airdrop.
In almost all the projects where KYC was, there was a good payout for airdrop.
if the payment is deemed suitable, it is not a problem, but now the fact is that there are also lots of airdrops that cheat the participants and harm the participants

I don't think KYC's are good if it does not compensate for the possibilities of getting yourself scammed, perhaps hacked or whataoever where your identity maybe put on the line. One mistake may just get yourself into a big trouble. I have heard cases of stolen identity and  that seems to me iappropriate if you would only get small amount of token.

I don't think KYC for airdrops offered is fair for those who joined. Some ICO with airdropping is not also fine to get KYC for tokens worth almost nothing or a burger meal is not really fine. I observed it in some ICOs with airdrops that even with giveaways like that so small needs KYC? Don't fall for it guys, not worth it.
Having KYC for peanut airdrops is total rubbish. I won't even waste my time on it allowing those scammers the chance to perpetrate whatever. Why demanding KYC for a less than 1 USD reward.

KYC for airdrops is the biggest absurdity of all that I have ever heard. Most of all, this is like inventing a reason to steal people's personal information from people. I do not advise anyone to participate in such airdrops, the risk is not worth it

I think it is totally un-expectable .Even for bounty Kyc should not apply.KYC is mainly introduced for money laundering issues,so it should not be used as spam filter, tracking multi accounting like minor reasons.

Of course not, this is not good, because cryptocurrency today is a very strange topic, I mean anonymity, because cryptocurrency as a whole must have anonymity or at least the security of your data.

I believe that they are doing this purely because of orders from above. I think it is not very convenient for them to process all these data and check their correctness.

KYC for airdrops is good to to block the cheaters and for some legal reasons but the awards they give are very low, so i do not want to give my personal information for nothing.

I am generally opposed to KYC. And here you do the work for which you pay a penny, but also require your personal data, refusing to pay if you do not provide.

I agree, to some point, because it is not safe to submit your personal infos if the project is not worth it and only to find out it is worthless coin. But the problem is personal infos are given. So just be very careful. Learn to wait and see if the project is really worth passing of your KYC.

I don't think that the airdrop will need KYC for the participants because I think the airdrop program is a giveaway for every people so they can know that the project exists and they want to show the power to the people. I don't want to give my details to that airdrop program because I don't know what their goals to collect the personal identity of each participant. I only want to be careful to give my details especially from the people that I don't know.

i agree with you but for me personaly i noticed that generally the projects that ask for kyc for airdrops or bounties tend to be of high quality and sometimes hyped up and highly focused on regulation and being lawful in their specific jurisdiction basically covering their behinds. Grin So yeah if the project is good enough i'll do the kyc Wink

Hummm! True perception. Thou, I have serious prejudice for kyc even for bounty before talkless of airdrops, this input made me see better.

Why should the airdrop required to do a KYC, i don't think it's necessary cause the number of coins that are received from joining an airdrop isn't that much of coins, so it's pointless to perform KYC for an airdrop.

KYC in airdrop is needed so that those to whom you send your data can use it at their discretion wherever they want.

No, it is never acceptable even if its bounty campaign you are joining how much more if its just airdrop. I mean it's not worth to give your details risking your personal security just for a small amount of airdrop you dont know will even become successful in the end.

Through KYC, it gives investors security of their investments especially from being scammed by fraudulent ICOs. It's better that way than being sorry. But for airdrops, i don't really think it's a good requirement before you can earn your rewards because in the first place, an airdrop is a free tokens given freely for participants.
KYC does help coins, I just don't feel the need for me to give them any personal identification for a lousy coin.

For me from day one i don't like the use of KYC in the cryptocurrency sphere, whether in ICO or airdrops because the use of KYC negate the principle of decentralization which cryptocurrency is all about, it's should be abolished.

Kyc for airdrop is not right that is very suspicious,Airdrop means they are give it for free to the participants and I did not experience joining a Airdrop that need the participants to perform kyc, because kyc is for the costumers who participate in the project tokensales and Bounty Campaigns that is detected many cheater participants.

Well i think conducting a Know your Customer process for an Airdrop is quite a good idea to prevent most participants from cheating in the Airdrop campaign. This way all honest participants can be awarded equally for their hardwork other than having some few group of people accumulating most part of the tokens because of their cheating activities.
