I also, like you, the author, think that Kyc is absolutely unnecessary for Airdrop, and it’s just that they want to gather information about people in order to use it against them in the future.

I do not claim there is no good airdrop, but recently there are many fake airdrops that aim to collect personal data. Be careful.
To be honest for beginners it might be wise to avoid air attacks that require verification.

If I barely agree with the use of KYC in exchanges because they try to regulate scammers, do you think I would agree on the KYC of airdrops? it is not worth risking my identity for a few tokens that most likely are not worth anything at the end of the day, a lot of risk for such a little reward, in my opinion, it is not worth it.

As for me that's too much for airdrops...I think that personal data is a really valuable thing and I will do that only for a very promising project.

To be honest, I prefer to do KYC only for reliable and profitable projects. If an airdrop is asking for KYC, I don't even think to join of it.

Actually KYC requirements are only intended for those members who are invested but in airdrop section it is not appropriate for the said program because this is a form of reward token and in the investing side it involves a huge capital so definately there is a big difference on it, in advantage of knowing people participated in a project are not criminal.

I don't think KYC for airdrops offered is fair for those who joined. Some ICO with airdropping is not also fine to get KYC for tokens worth almost nothing or a burger meal is not really fine. I observed it in some ICOs with airdrops that even with giveaways like that so small needs KYC? Don't fall for it guys, not worth it.
The identity doesn't what the value of token allocated to participants of airdrop, i can't jeopardize my identity for cheap airdrop which are worthless a times.

I am not a favor for Kyc in airdrop, why would I risk my confidential documents for 5 usd and worst you submitted your KYC and you won't receive any token.

KYC s not to frowned upon, it is a good thing for this space, there are too many scammers and fraudsters here, This is going to become more prominant as we progress

Need it or not I would like to comment on the reason why KYC is so needed for airdrop though, maybe it is more to prevent double accounts and gamers who are now damaging the reputation of the bounty hunters, but if only airdrop I don't feel too necessary considering the use of airdrop just to multiply the community I also feel that KYC may only be needed for ICO investors

I think that KYC is asking for really good projects, and to pass this procedure for $ 50, I do not see the point.
I agree with you. I also don't see the point in passing KYC for such a small amount of tokens that airdrops provide. It is just a waste of time.

Airdrops don't really give us a lot of money. This is because airdrops are good luck, when you get good airdrops the results will be good and when we choose wrongly we will not get anything. it's like a job we don't pay. KYC was originally created to reduce various cheats, but if the airdrops are not qualified then the results will be zero and we will never get anything.

It is not good for anyone to do kyc for airdrops, that is like selling your entire identity for a couple of bucks. Might as well just go on the dark web and sell it for more money by yourself. Any project that asks you to do kyc to get their airdrops is obviously a scam that you should be staying away from no matter what they are offering you for it.

It actually depends on the project. If it requires kyc based on regulatory need then every token holder should run kyc. A project wouldn't want to be floored by not having kyc on its token holders.

I think for people who participate in airdrop is too difficult. I can say on my own example-I personally miss such projects.

I think kyc is also good on airdrops because through the used of it you may know the true identity of the bounty hunter and it will also helps us to used multiple accounts.

KYC in the airdrop is the thing that doesn't make sense I guess. It is better to avoid it than to have to endanger owned assets while the results in the airdrop are not so satisfactory. even the most airdrop only contains coins that no value and this certainly is not a good thing to continue is done let alone must need KYC.

Untill this sphere is not regulated nobody can't guaranty that our data will be safe. As for me not the best idea.

I believe that KYC is not needed for cryptocurrency at all, because cryptocurrency loses anonymity
Many countries that legalize crypto require KYC now for investors for team records and reliability of the company, but it is not needed in Airdrop , only few buck will you get and will be need to risk your identity is quite impossible.
They require KYC not for team records but to know their customer and preventing any kind of money laundering since crowdfunding tend to be taken advantage of as a way to launder illegal money and that's not good.
However, justifying the use of KYC for mere airdrop is wrong on so many levels because I believe that most of the airdrop created by unreliable strangers.
