It would be hilarious if labcoin somehow brought several terrhashes of gear online today of all days, as well as the videos and pictures we've been waiting for.

There is no point selling now at a loss. Just wait until the asset is transferred the a new exchange.

You have to remember that ASICMiner went through same scenario as this with GLBSE exchange and look how that turned out.

It is to labcoin's interest to transit to an other exchange. They have 2m+ shares they can't hope to dump at a fair price during this mess.

How do you know they still have that many?

That's true. Some more could have been dumped, I'm sure Burnside has more pressing issues that to monitor Labcoin's stash.

To labcoin:
When trading is frozen, you will have to release a full, public list of assets owned by each public address.
This should happen long before the site closes down, so there will be time for shareholders to correct errors.
You should also be planning to transfer all your shares to an other exchange, and that should happen no later than the end of October.

I am also holding out. Would love to have had some spare BTC available for today though.

Good luck, asking Labcoin to assist with a share transfer. I'm afraid that's too risky for me and will most likely turn into a disaster.

Why?

Labcoin will move the asset to an another exchange and life goes on.

Honestly, this is the perfect time for Labcoin to make for the exit. Talk about risk, shit just got real.

If labcoin was a scam all along, this is the perfect endpoint for them.
