Bitrefill now has Prepaid Mastercard gift cards for the US.
I can't buy it because of my location, so I can't see the real price, but the "estimate" for a $1 prepaid mastercard is 4279 sat! That would mean a prepaid mastercard with no overhead, I thought it usually costs at least a few bucks per card.

Try using Tor with a US exit node. Seemed to work with me when accessing a previous Walmart card of mine.

It should work as long as the website is not banning tor, or there is no Cloudflare with annoying captcha.

Just bought a card 0 fees, actual face value of card. Used it to pay a cable bill with no issues.
You don't actually get a card number, you get an activation code and have to go to https://MyPrepaidCenter.com/redeem to activate it.
Spit out a Master Card with an expiration date 6 months out and all the other info.

If you buy it in a store with cash there is usually a $2.95 to $4.95 fee egifter also charges a fee.

At a *guess* they are probably getting some of the % of the sales to run it though and are making their money that way.
OR like your local drug dealer they are keeping it free to start, once they get you hooked then it's gonna cost you.

But as of now it's a 1 to 1 deal.

https://www.bitrefill.com/buy/prepaid-mastercard-usa/?hl=en

And as a small added bonus you get 5% back at some places:
https://www.myprepaidcenter.com/page/mastercard-univ

Unlike a lot of other places looks like NO activation fees that I can see. At least for now.

Tested with no issues, see post below.

@LeGaulois Are they using some KYC provider to live-shoot the ID like everyone else, or are they just asking for photo ID upload?

I'm not holding my breath, hopefully they're not using some trash ID verification service.

The KYC process is handled by Sumsub, a verification platform which is used by plenty of players in the space, as it seems. See below:

Source: Bitrefill, KYC

More Infos here: https://sumsub.com/privacy-notice/

Looks like they are also working with Binance, Bybit & Huobi. Can anyone comment on how reputable/respected the KYC provider is?

Perhaps someone needs a Netflix subscription until 2183?  Cheesy

Is Netflix even going to be around in 2183?

Bitrefill has had those limits for as long as I can remember.

Yep, that's exactly how it is. The limits have been around for a long time. I had a short chat via e-mail with the support in 2021(?) and they confirmed that there are certain limits.

Looks like only the note about the limits is new. At least I had not seen this before. But I haven't used Bitrefill for a few months either.

who's going to buy $10,000 per month on Bitrefill?

Perhaps someone needs a Netflix subscription until 2183?  Cheesy

I've never pay attention there are limits. I learned it while seeing the warning when I deposit.
Well, I shall say they improved since now I'm aware

I thought it was for lifetime and not per month (I haven't read correctly  Roll Eyes)
Fair enough, but perhaps a day I'll be rich  Tongue

I don't remember what the limits used to be, but the limits page from the second screenshot has always been there. The warning when depositing is new though.

A new thing at Bitrefill?

We now have limits before to be forced to verify our account. I say 'forced' because we can purchase an item without the need to sign up.
I'm bothered because with an account we can for exemple deposit BTC, convert in euros and use our balance another day
And just after buying a voucher, the limit has been updated (see pic #3). So that's something new? Last time I used Bitrefill was ~2 months ago.

No way LeGaulois sends his ID cards. Too cute

The verification process is done via the Sumsub platform. "Secure & GDPR compliant"
Oh yeah Secure, they all say that but that's not true, it's rather trolling me
FYI, Sumsub is in partnership with several cryptos related companies, And of course, manipulating data about you...

Found these two new services in Binance pay merchants directory: https://pay.binance.com/en/merchant-stores

- Egycards (based in Egypt).
- and topup-balance.com
Looks like there are a few more gift card providers in the above directory:
Note: My post shouldn't be taken as a vouch!

Addn.io seems to be done for, their trustpilot page is full of complaints.
The same can also be said for "Gyft" and "CardCash [except for the very last review]".

Gyft is and always has been 100% owned by First Data https://www.gyft.com/about-us/
Not a company that is going to scam. They do have a fair amount of people who don't like them. Usually seedy merchants that they kicked off their platform.
They then go out and badmouth First Data and all their companies. Seen it with my own eyes.

OTOH, since we are all are pro BTC, do we really want to be dealing with a credit card processor to get our gift cards.

I'll leave that discussion up for others to take up.

Now, onto the subject that I came here for. Be aware that bitrefill is a bit broken. They are charging a bit more for some cards then face value. i.e. $20 dunkin' card is $20.25
Keep your eyes open if you order something just to make sure it's not more then a few cents.

I've tried topup-balance once, their fees are slightly higher than the other sites and payment process is a bit of a hassle since their copy address button doesn't work so the only way to pay is to scan the provided QR code.

Coingate is also listed in the Binance directory and they have an impressive variety of gift cards. I used them a few times to buy gift cards that were usually out of stock on other sites.

I'll make sure to add coingate after checking their limits and KYC policy.

Thanks for checking top-up balance as well. I just took some time to browse the site, and it appears that this is not the only problem they have.

I confirm.

topup-balance is a nightmare, you can't copy an address and you need to scan a QR code. They're supposed to sent a bill, so you may think you will copy the adress from it but they don't sent this bill... Since I hate stuff with QR code I prefer to go elsewhere.
That said it's different if you use something else than Bitcoin, it works since they're using a 3rd party to process the payment

Coingate is good for some countries, with different stores. Some of you can pay a supermarket like Lidl, or buy gazoil with Shell etc...
You can even find Mc Donald, Burger King etc...

I was hoping Bitrefill would add the difference to my account when I paid more than needed for a gift card, but unfortunately they didn't. I tested it with a small amount, so it's not worth complaining about, but it would be a great feature (to avoid small change outputs) if I can pay any amount I want. I could do this by using "Top-up Balance" first, but paying directly is faster to buy something.
It's been months since bitrefill was active here, so no rush Wink

Hello! if you send more than the required, you can get it deposited to your Bitrefill balance by asking that to our customer service here or by twitter DM https://bitrefill.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
