I want to request something.  I know not many use browsers with Java Script disabled, but I do and before I knew about Blockchair, I found it extremely hard to work with Block Explorers without having to reveal very sensitive information from my computer and connection without Tor and through Java Script.

Block Explorers that work without Java Script are to me a gift from heaven.  You can have Privacy and comfort at the same time.

So I added a column to show which Block Explorers you have listed works properly with Java Script disabled and which does not.  Maybe it is a helpful addition.

Bitcoin block explorers:

1miau, what would you consider a 10 out of 10 Block Explorer?

They are now using this explorer only for binance bsc chain,
There's also Aptos Chain [AFAICR, it didn't exist in the past].
- For those who might be interested, by default it's set to BSC Mainnet, but you can change it by clicking the green dot in the upper left corner.

LocalBitcoins is shutting down, so this is probably the reason why explorer will be permanently unavailable.
You're probably right, but based on "this archived list", I think something else might be the reason:

  • The first time that it started showing that error, was on "OCT, 13, 2022" and the "last active archive [AUG, 16, 2022]" was roughly five months behind [refer to the timestamp column].
  • There's also this "open issue" in Blockstream/esplora repo.

Damn, looks like I've missed it, should be removed now:
~Snipped~
or http://explorerzydxu5ecjrkwceayqybizmpjjznk5izmitf2modhcusuqlid.onion/ (V3)
And now you've removed the V3 address as well [only the V2 address wasn't working (the shorter one that has 16 characters)] Tongue
- I should've explained it in a clearer way (my bad, sorry).

Well, I have created the topic, man.  Wink
Yes, I do know that Smiley but only a small portion of thread starters maintain their threads after a few years [unfortunately].

Probably it's not supporting Bitcoin or Ethereum anymore and only supporting Binance Coin because Coinmarketcap is owned by Binance...
I think it's safe to say they were using the other cryptocurrencies to draw more attention or rather traffic to their explorer...
Most likely and that's also how they got into our list here.
At least for our Blockexplorer list, Coinmarketcap's strategy has worked out.  Cheesy
Until now.  Wink

I'm considering to remove it into our "removed" section, do you agree?
Yes, I do Smiley
Done, it's removed.  Smiley

  • I just noticed that the "onion link of Blockstream" is the same as the V2 address of "Deep web explorers" and since it's no longer supported, I think we should remove them as well.
I've removed it and deleted the entry:
It seems that you "forgot to remove the latter part" that also uses the same link Tongue

They are now using this explorer only for binance bsc chain, and it's nothing strange if you know that CoinMarketCap is owned by Binance exchange and CZ.
Maybe their next step will be to say that bitcoin token on this chain is better than real Bitcoin,
Probably...
Maybe they'll offer a shady deal by giving some interest if you hold Bitcointokens on Binance chain for a certain amount of time, while interest is increasing if your Bitcointokens are being hold for a longer time.
Binanceconneeect  Cheesy

but I think they could soon stop using BUSD stable coin soon on this explorer, after Paxos problems Wink

I added the comments to Learnmebitcoin and Localbitcoinschainand I deleted (completely) the .onion link of Blockstream. Additionally, I made a step ahead of 1miau (Smiley) and I removed Coinmarketcap, stating as reason for elimination that it does not support Bitcoin anymore, nor Litecoin, nor Etherem. I also added a link to SFR10's post.

As a plus, I also removed the second site mentioned by SFR10 (the one from Deep web explorers section).

Cheers!

Noted, it's completely fine.  Smiley

Awesome!

Yes, I've not listed it in "Removed Blockexplorers" section because it's a formatting issue (table layout is different, so I need to modify my code).

If you want we can add a new table exclusively created for "deleted Different other sites / .onion links" where we can list it.
But since it's not working anymore, I'm not sure if creating a new table is beneficial...

I think it's okay to leave it deleted, as Loyce also suggested. My main idea was just to make sure we have consistency (see, we talk again about consistency Smiley) between how to manage deleted explorers and apply then a pattern for all (or for all types). This meant that we could: (1) delete all forever (meaning those from the upper part of the OP and also those from Different sites section); (2) delete forever only those from Different sites section.

Since this was first case when a different site was removed, this also became first time when we had to settle this consistency for the future Smiley

Therefore, for consistency purposes (smile here) I suggest that, in the future, if other sites from Different sites section will be removed, to eliminate them also completely. And to keep only those from upper part of the OP at Removed block explorers section. Of course, excepting the consistency, it also matters that more work from you would be needed for keeping the eliminated Different sites under Removed block explorers. And, as we all know how unpleasant is working with BBCode tables, I believe that this is another very good argument to proceed as we settled.

What's your opinion? LoyceV can reply as well as it's a site suggested by him.  Smiley
There's no point in keeping loyce........onion in a list of removed block explorers. I don't think it will ever come back, and even if it does, it may be on a new domain.
Noted, so just deleting it from my list should be fine. If there'll be a new one, we could add it again of course.  Smiley

So yes, if it's not too much effort, let's do like this, with changes written down Smiley
Noted, it's completely fine.  Smiley

Done, I've removed the entry

I also removed it from the translated topic. Quick question: shouldn't this deleted website be moved at "Removed Blockexplorers" section? (I just realized now that there should be also a space added between Block and explorers -- I hope this helps as well) I know it was initially listed under the section "Different other sites / .onion links" therefore I am not sure if you also want to keep these ones at the section for removed websites.

Glad I could help Smiley

I'l try to add it right away next time for consistency purposesSmiley

Yes, cinsistency is very important for me, as you already observed Smiley

And maybe it's easier for you to implement in into your own topic if I'll comment on all changes here.  Smiley

Thank you. Yes, it'll be more easier for me to notice the changes, if you write them down. For example, the comment removed for SoChain (the one saying it's not functional) was marked by you with a merit for my post Smiley But when I received the merit I just looked quickly at who gave it to me and for what post and I probably just told myself a "thank you 1miau", without realizing that it also implied that you deleted that comment. So yes, if it's not too much effort, let's do like this, with changes written down Smiley

So far you only deleted sites from the main part of OP and all these appear at the "Removed" section so I am not sure about how you want to treat the deleted links which were posted as "different other sites". Should these be kept there as well, or have them permanently removed?

Oh and one last thing: 1miau, I noticed that you wrote the comments for last two sites with words starting with lower caps letters. Perhaps, for consistency purposes, you would like to use upper case letters for "displaying" and "search"? (And, maybe, change "displaying" with "displays" and "search" with "searches"?)
Done, all changes are finished.  Smiley
Back then I've just copied the explanation from where it was suggested, so I've not changed anything but of course, I'l try to add it right away next time for consistency purposesSmiley

Done.  Smiley

Hey there! Thank you, SFR10, for this new update and for your continuous work in providing new block explorers!
As usual, I also updated the translated topic with this new website. It's curious though that it doesn't offer the possibility to search for addresses... It is what it is.

I've added an additional text pointing it out.  Smiley

I also added your updated comment in the translated topic.

Last, but not least, I also removed the comment which was saying that SoChain is not functional. I only recently observed that 1miau made that change.

It's an interesting site but when checking, it seems to be very buggy:
~Snipped~
Edit: it's working now, I don't know why it didn't work before (I've tried it multiple times already from different transactions...)  Cheesy
I haven't encountered any issues so far, so perhaps the developers were making some changes [at the time] in the back-end, and that led to a short-term crash on your end Cheesy
Checked it today again and it worked well...maybe it's my VPN being very slow sometimes... Cheesy

I completely agree with you [it belongs to the third list] Smiley
Done.  Smiley

- If it had the ability to look up addresses, it would've been somewhat similar to chainFlyer explorer and I might've given a bit higher rating than that one.
Maybe such a feature will get added somewhen later.  Smiley
If so, we could add it to our main list.

with the tool 'timechain calendar' which i mentioned here, you can now even look into the future and with the input of any date you can see the future block.
this feature also works the other way around

It's an interesting site but I'm not sure if it's really a "Block explorer" as we know it. We can't check addresses and it's looking more like a visualization tool. Since checking addresses and switching from adresses to connected transactions is essential for explorers in my opinion, I would add it to "Different / other sites".
But final decision is up to you since you have detected bitfeed and suggested it here.  Smiley

Found another one [Bitfeed] while I was scrolling through the "Twitter feed" of Timechain Calendar's [previously mentioned by "cygan"] developer...
It's an interesting site but when checking, it seems to be very buggy:

Despite lacking the option to search for a specific address [you can only search for TX ID and block height], it comes with a breakdown tree feature and that's useful in following the trail [you need to click on each of the boxes to see it (by hovering over each of the boxes, it'd reveal various types of information)].
I've tried to look up a valid transaction (see Blockchair: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/db6d2b441a5964cd4c3ccdb7316738b020def1fdf2726201f07cc74016844e50)
But it's not working on bitfeed...
