Long term are more riskier than short term especially if your choice of coin is not backed up by a large community and active devs in the long run coins price will drop and even drop to zero
I prefer long-term. Just keep coins you believe in.
I hold ethereum for the long term and buy ico for short periods and resell to get a profit when the exchange takes place. Basically it is a risk management problem, the long run seems to be lower in high short term short-term risk.

Both had points of interest and weaknesses. For my sentiment, it is smarter to pick long haul since it will acquire than the here and now. I think both are profitable, I use both long and short term. But when I see that bullish season is coming I buy altcoins with my 100% of portfolio and I wait till big gains. But in bearish season daily trading is more profitable.

I'm not entirely sure about the short term or the long term. Because it's connected to the market. Prices are still low today, but some of the altcoins are being pumped. But the long term is the right choice because it is more profitable in the short run. preference varies from person to person.
I adhere to the rule that if the coins in which I have invested made at least x3 then I sell them. Even if I am convinced that it is not worth doing it, it will soon be x10.
i prefer short term because you can get a lot for profit in the short time even it is just 40% or less but if you have a lot of altcoin to sell you can get a lot more profits .on the long term you just need to wait and get profit unlike with short term you dont need to check everytime
Personally i really recommend a long term if you have some alternative source of income like work or some business but if you are only depending in your investments in cryptocurrencies then maybe you have to do it in short term is a good choice too. Still it depend in you and your life style.

The market begins to recover and this means that long-term investments will start to bring good profits soon. I believe that the market will go up.
I do both short and long term investments. I hodl Bitcoin and Ethereum for the long term, and such altcoins as Ripple, IOTA, EOS, Cardano for short term and also use them for trading and payments.
Well investing into cryptocurrencies is something that i want to see generate income for me in the long term not in the short term but the funny thing is that things could change at any point in time due to its volatility nature. Because i have invested in some ICOs which have generated me income within few months whiles some investment are still declining in value but i have the hope that its price would rise again for me to get my income one day.
I think the best way is to combine both strategies - certain coins are worth to invest in the long run and certain are suitable for shorting. The most important thing is to choose the right assets. BTC and ETH are always good for long-term holding from my point of view.
It depends on your style, long term investment gains are generally lower than those of short term, but you avoid all the stressful fluctuations of the coins, on the other hand short term allows you to gain more but with a little big of extra effort.
As for me I would like to go for the long-term investment, I do not have the luxury of time to examine the ups and downs of the market. And I also think that day trading is time-consuming and tiring. Currently will hold for long term. Some people willing to spend more time to get information and learn the day trading method, I think it is a matter of choice.
I have tokens of projects that cost almost nothing, and Ethereum in the long run. Don't invest in bitcoin because it has already made its flight to the moon
