I preferred some time ago day- trading and allocated 50% of capital, 30% for investment, 20% for fiat currencies. Now, instead of day - trading, I have a positional trade.

for now it should be better if it is a long-term investment because when you see unstable prices, if you are in a hurry to sell it, you will experience a loss because all prices are unpredictable
I really agree with what you say because if we look at the current market conditions it is certainly not good if we make short-term investments,
because if we are short-term investment it seems like it's quite risky so for now long-term investment is better for sure

It all really depends on individual investor. I believe some investments are better short term, while others are better short. Research is key in all crypto investments you'll agree with me.

Each investor must diversify their risks, so choose coins for long-term storage and for quick sales. I think this is the most profitable and safe strategy.

According to me, this time is not good for long-term holding because of the bad condition of the market. It's better to short time hold now. If you can buy BTC or ETH for short time then I think there is a chance to get a profit. But if the market is fully recovered then we can think about the long-term hold.

Now it is not profitable to buy coins for long-term storage. It seems to me that long-term investments work only at a time when the market is going up.

Well in theory short term trading would be more profitable because you can buy on every dip and sell on every peak. In reality you don't know when you're at either until after the fact. I'd wager the people that make massive fortunes, do it off of long term trading, skill, and a good amount of luck.

Long term is holding those coins and sell it when it profit. In order to do this you need to track the market movements on long time intervals. Short term alts sometimes they are valuable when it first listed in exchanges. I began with short-term investments. But over time I have passed to long-term investments.

my portfolio has about this distribution ...: 80% hold for a long time and 20% for a short period. I think this is the correct distribution of the deposit
If I choose to hold a BTC or ETH, I will choose the long term, and if I hold the other coin, I will choose short term, because the short term will give us low profits, but long term will bring higher income
Back than, when the market was normal and the prices of many coins were growing at a slow pace, it entirely depended on the type of coins that were easily available. Coins for example BTC, ETH and LTC were preferred for long term investment. Altcoin other than the mentioned were favored for short term investment.

Right now, when the market is down, invest in any coin that can give you future benefits when the market will rise. Do not expect instant profit now and give it some great good time to grow.

To get the maximum profit, of course we must always be dynamic, if the coin does not have a chance to improve then immediately sell or cut loss is the most appropriate choice because the market is always difficult to guess.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?
My entire portfolio is focused on a long-term perspective. I can not imagine the possible huge profits .. Of course, this is risky enough. But I try to invest in serious projects. For example, aion, icon and the like. I am sure that these projects have great potential.

In my opinion at this moment Long-term i will buy Bitcoin to wait for the price. And Short-Term i want to buy ETH to invest in a few months when the market is volatile. two plan is very useful for us.

I think both have their own strengths and weaknesses, but it would be better to choose the long term because it will get more profit than in the short term. Long-term investment will be better, because in the long run the crypto currency will be more stable.

For me investing in a long term is a better and safer thing, it makes me relax with the current price rise and fall, I am optimistic that the future of crypto will continue to improve and so get a heyday.
Long-term investment will indeed make you a person who has a big profit, if the coin is well developed, but if the coin becomes shitcoin because you have been holding it for too long, then you will have a huge risk of loss
Of course between the long-term and short-term investments there is a risk,
but I prefer long-term investment because in my opinion the risk is not too large compared to short-term investments

Each strategy must have weaknesses and strengths. What we have to do is how to utilize every available momentum. Make the best decision and we will automatically get the best results too. Trading requires knowledge and experience, that's why we have to improve it all the time.

I prefer long term, it must be admitted that in investment it always takes a long time to be able to get big profits, as we know that the price of bitcoin can reach $ 6500 after almost 10 years, and I'm sure that in 5 years the price of bitcoin can reach at least $ 100 k.

At the moment i think the short-term and long-term strategy with the coin and the top choices people think of on coinmarketcap and Bitcoin with ETH are the two names that are mentioned a lot. And Bitcoin and ETH will be chosen for short-term and long-term goals i think.
Between bitcoin and ethereum it seems good to invest both short and long term,
but if you look at crypto conditions right now we better invest long term and that seems a safer way
