I can not call myself a professional trader. My trader's experience is not very great. Usually about half of my portfolio is bitcoin and ethereum. The rest are different altcoins.

There are some pump-dump coins in the market, short term works on them. On the other hand i’m a long term holder, i honestly think that it’s safe and better.

I agree with you. Long term is the best way and it is a lot safer. I personally think, that Pump and Dump should be prosecuted, and without Pump and Dump short term holding is a lot different.

I am already more invested in long-term. I have got not enough time for day trading or to monitor the price all around the time. Also you need a quick action in short term investments to earn multiple benefits. But I think long-term and and short-term investments must be together in a balance.
Up to now I put most part of my money in long-term investments that I think that is going to work in future like modum etc.

Short term investment is what I mostly prefer because you can get your profits in less than a month if you invested right. But Long term investment is majorly for investors with huge amount of money for investment, invariably means that, if you have less amount for investment it's better to invest in short term investment.

I think for now the comparison between long-term and short-term investment is the same, still at 50%,
because I think the market is still very volatile and will still make corrections,
the price of coins and altcoin also tend to be unstable,

50% are very high risks. How do you cope with stress when the market falls down or some coin price drops? For me, it's an enormous stress and I'm very afraid of it every time!

I play both long term and short term. Short term portfolio refers to me as monthly trade, I choose as coin of the month and close my trade at the end of the month and made and average of 150% ROI which I find sustainable enough.

if you have enough time and money to invest,
you better play in short term and long term because it is very important to produce profit

Long term is better than short term.
Investments kept for more than 1 year will be long term.
Generally speaking anything less of 12 month is considered short term.
Long term investment always helps you to earn more than short term plan.when you invest idle fund for a certain period of time at a fixed rate of interest, you get a fixed return on investment after maturity. but, as soon as the tenor increase the rate of  interest also increases.

Even if I'm long-term in a coin, I'll definitely take medium-term trades (even short-term ones, although rarely) if I think the coin is about to drop.

Check the charts from last alt-season, selling 1 BTC in your altcoin is a good strategy if in a few months you can buy 3 times more coins for that same Bitcoin.

You can make money during both trends, downtrend is when you sell and don't HODL. You'll make some mistakes, of course, but I personally feel the risk is worth it.

I basically have coins for the long term, I think that so far it's the best option on the market. It's hard for me to tell you about the percentage, but almost everything is for HODL.

I usually don't invest in short-term gains in altcoins, and I have no risks because the token I will receive in bounty campaigns will be used for the investments I will try. Long term investments like in bitcoin, is preferable for me because we all know that bitcoin is more powerful and popular, and many people have already tried investing to it.

In this matter, a lot depends on how you feel about what you are a person, if you like to take risks and you are ready to take risks every day, then you can try short-term investments, if you still do not like to take risks, but this is only my opinion, although I read the branch and saw that I do not think so alone.

I think it all depends on the coin.  I hold some coins for a long term.  Some on short.

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

I'm a very inexperienced trader so I usually invest in the long term. I try to sell a part of the portfolio at the key moments of the market falls and jumps but I have no time and patience to trade every day

each coin can be predicted even if not completely true and in fact we only need to see from the indicator chart along with the volume every 24 hours, if the price difference is more than the fluctuations of other coins, then the coin is very suitable for short term and vice versa. All coins that have a volume above rata2 have the potential for scalping system.

I barely never invest for short term.  You need much more skills for trading than for investing.  And it can be also very risky. Of course if you are experienced,  gains are I think higher.
Still, I prefer the long term investments, I choose very carefully the bitcoin and I believe that they have a really value for the users or the market.
