It's only my opinion, but that's why I like it bigger than other alts:
1) Fast transactions
2) Low fees
3) Smart contracts very flexible
4) It is easy to operate with Ethereum
I think that although etherum does not do anything today people will still believe in etherum because their smart contracts are so different from others, so etherum is more popular than others.
