Your devotion to Pacquiao seems to have blinded you. And it seems to me that you have never watched a single fight of Golovkin. If you had done so, then you would have never asked this question. Golovkin is unarguably one of the best boxers of 21st century. The fact that he was robbed of victories against Canelo not once, but twice can't take that away from him.

I would say both the fighters are good. But Golovkin is in another weight class and that gives him the advantage.

Indeed, they are already both legendary in their own respective fields. But I think GGG is now one of the biggest challenge on Pacman's career. I know GGG lost to Canelo once making for some of you underestimating him but guys we should remember that their first fight ended as draw. That's how he close to great Canelo. Well, let's see how Team Pacman make a strategy to beat him especially knwoing the fact that he does not have a glass jaw Grin

Seriously I want manny to stop while he is healthy since he might encounter his last fight with most dangerous injury since first he's old for accepting more bouts but since his body seeking more fights then might best for his couching staff to focus on speed and defense so that he will not get any bad shots that can make him sleep in the canvass just what like marquez did to him on their bout.

Popularity does not guarantee you an automatic win in a boxing fight. When Manny defeated those big names in boxing before, he was on his peak. Exactly. It was very evident during the Thurman fight, that Pacman was exhausted after the fight, unlike when he was at his prime where he doesn't seem become tired and each round his punches and stamina became stronger.
I guess a prime Pacman could put Thurman into sleep when he got knocked down in the first round.
But, everything's changed as he aged. This guy Golovkin is bigger and stronger than Margarito. He could be a very dangerous opponent for Pacquiao.

GGG is a champion and he is never been knock-out in his fights before and obviously he is the bigger fighter of the two, that alone is a big factor in a fight and before i forgot, he is also younger than Manny.

@Fredomago - on the basis that Golovkin is the bigger guys, odd makers look at that one factor to say who is the favourite or not. But it is different one the betting public started to place their bet, it could swing to Pacquiao favours. If I'm not mistaken during Pacquiao's last fight, Thurman was the initial favourite based on the odds, however, there there a huge swing on Manny just a couple of days prior to the fight. So it's possible that we will see this as well if ever this fight push through.

Obviously Golovkin is going to be the favorite. What do you expect, when a middleweight fighter takes on someone from the lightweight/welterweight division? I'm not a fan of Mayweather, but winning against GGG will not put him on the number 1 list, in my opinion. But it is debatable.

I am a long time avid fan of Manny Pacquiao since I'm a kid, but this time if ever pacman and Golovkin will fight each other I think it would be very unpredictable for him. Same with the challenger there's no 100% guarantee that they'll able to beat each other. What I view here with Golovkin's track record, there's a bigger potential that's why pacman shouldn't lose some of his strong defense because this guy would be so aggressive to take his winning knock outs.

As long there were no confirmations then its hard to presume out that this fight would eventually happen but who knows because this fight would involve big money for sure even on the pandemic situation.PPV sales would be on the top of the roof which would really generate some income..On the thing you had said about the fight then i agree that adding weight would really have corresponding effect on a certain gambler.It will affect speed,footwork etc. but basing on up Manny's experience then i can say that he would able to handle out those effects and theres still lots of time to deal and enhance it.He do have the advantage since Golovkins attack pattern is just a straight up but really having that punching power which is a good target if you are a type of fighter that can throw up
punches in every direction unexpectedly.

The betting odds are going to be interesting. I still remember what happened during the Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman fight. I hope it will not be the scenario but I like Manny to win, I just like him to be an underdog in betting odds so if he wins, bettors will win with a better odds.
If Manny will have 2.30 and over, that would be a good extra 30% of winning, and I'm still gonna be confident taking him at that odds.

Regarding who bets on Manny that made him favorite in his previous fight, I think we will never know if it's the Filipino people as there are also whales in sports betting who can move the odds at their favor.
