Trading of merit is more like cheating, moving to higher ranks without really working for it shouldn't be tolerated and anyone found guilty should be penalised so as not to decrease the importance of merit

Well said, but there is always something different if you earn merits by your own, having some good post? Informative? or a reply that is very related to the topic? I don't about my merits actually but I care about my replies or topic being made, being deleted cause out of the topic? or a spam?

The "Merit Selling/Buying" is not a good thing to do if you really wanted to rank up, ranking up would take your time and efforts reading and creating a good replies.

Post and comments should really be monitored and members going through this illegal means just to rank up should be banned from the Forum. There's literally no point using Merits to rank members on the forum if it can be bought with just a few bucks

Most users want to get rank up so fast probably because they want to be getting higher rewards from their bounty activities, which is why they go in length to buy merits from other users and not interested in gathering knowledge. Of course, the forum is built for gaining knowledge and your freedom and not just money.

Also its easy to spot those buyers especially the seller is known merit seller so there's no area to hide for the buyers if they really push to do this act.

I recall some people getting caught buying or exchanging merits, which is sort of unfair to other people who are working hard to produce excellent contributions in the topic. Fortunately, there are far too many users right now that are compiling or making threads for those accounts that employ this strategy. Let us urge everyone to do so because we are the ones who always put forth effort, yet just a few of us are rewarded for it every time we write anything nice.

We see few numbers doing it right now since many forum users watch this kind of activity and actively report if they found something suspicious regarding on this issues. Lets really urge newbies to act fair since its really good to rank up using your very own effort since the experience and learnings we can get by reading the threads on this forum will help us to be more knowledgeable on crypto and most especially the scams happening in crypto.

Im agree,even im first timer here,yes those who are higher ranks here ,good if they monitoring every single,running for Bitcoins,to avoid abusing ,there rank or those same like me hard to earning MERIT better just try try to post that from your own idea so you can get MERIT from your own knowledge and understanding to CRYPTOCURRENCY.Studying and researching is best way to have a idea so you can post ,someday we as begginner we can earn MERIT,to avoid abusing and not to banned.

People need merits to go up in ranking and participate in signature campaigns that pay good return. There isn't any good bounty for Newbies, Jr or Member rank. Getting merit is not hard but it takes time and effort. Just see this thread for instance, OP got 7 merits for starting this thread. One can get idea by reading such posts that how to get merit.
If you buy high level account then chances are you will very soon get red flag for violating rules, that will make your account and investment worthless.

I disagree that ranking up on this forum isnt hard because these merit trading wouldnt exist if it was indeed really very easy on the first place.For some people who do really have exceptional kind
of posting or really truly something remarkable then getting merits wouldnt really be that much hard compared into those who do have from low-average kind of thinking ending up
with low quality kind of post then it surely a challenge to make yourself ranked up.Thats why these kind of selling does exist but somehow it could really be noticed on
by the community and there are some who got caught.

As far as I remember, there is already a lot of users getting red-tagged for manipulating the Merit system. That's why the idea of Merit source was born, there's a respective user per country (or per se) that has been granted such task in the community. This is to somehow, gives out merits to those who post are worthy of having merit especially on the local boards.

I'd say this is still quite a problem as of now, but thanks to others who spend time tracking down such accounts who tends to cheat his/her way on ranking up. But yeah, there are still others who are doing it yet their time hasn't come yet though sooner or later, they'll be exploited and for sure will be red-tagged by the DTs. Worst, getting banned.

More precisely, useful posts will be easier to get merit from others. There are also some special posts that are planned to be awarded a merit prize for everyone who comments on the thread.

It's easy to get merit without having to buy, just by being a good member and following discussions and giving good and quality feedback. other members will appreciate the comments and posts you make.
