At one point I was hounded by these buyers, reported few of them who eventually were banned. There might be others who might have faced the same consequences.

which you can actually able to earn by just having some good response and contribution into the forum? Merit buyers are just those
people who doesn't really like to do hard work and do love things on easy ways.
I don't see any merit buying exist but somehow merit trading does and its so stupid for a user to buy those merit since imagine how big the amount they need to pay but the earnings of each account is only few bucks from the campaigns if they aiming to rank up due to that matters. And also buying is more hassle than creating more quality content and we can spot a quality topics in the net and for that provably we can get a merit from our post.
It might not really be that worth but to think that if you can able to join on campaigns because of your rank then those amounts will be just on break even and make yourself profitable instead.
that's why people do really took risk on making shortcuts on just trying to buy out merits for the sake of fast ranking and thinking directly on how to make money out of those accounts.

Thats not a good idea, it would be better if you work for it. It will be an achievement for you and some members will also did what you did in order to get merit without buying it.

I wouldn't recommend you to do so, merit is proof that you have high quality posts and if you buy them then you are faking your post quality, that absolutely means you are cheating.

I want to buy merit...
I feel like that the forum did merits to get quality post. And the main reason is to limit the amount of people on that rank. Without those merits people can easily become a Hero member in a few months. But because of merits they have to make quality post rather than making average post and getting the same out come. So I feel like trading merits is not ideal maybe even illegal. Because what's the point of selling merits if you will not earn it again?
Yes, merit system were made to see who deserves this kind of system, but some members abuse it, giving merit to short posts, like "bump", me too, and etc. Its unfair to some good posters who are not getting any merit.

Everyone here talks about how you shouldn't give merits for poor posts, so instead of begging for them, try to write something meaningful ....

and for a stupid picture 50 !!! And you know what I did? I stopped thinking about it and focused on the quality of my own posts and in a few months from the Jr. Member I came to Hero ...

I see a lot of you complaining that low-quality posts get dozens of merits and good posts often don't get any ...
It's true, but if you could compare 1000 bad posts with 1000 bad ones, I am more than sure that the better ones on average are definitely better rewarded.
We have a lot of merit source here who are committed to reading hundreds of posts a day rewarding valuable ones, and the fact that a few users reward something funny, malicious or stupid with high number of merits does not affect the overall merit distribution system.
Remember that the whole system, in addition to the merit source, also consists of thousands of normal users who can freely use their merits.

You can merit any post which you can like, even if it is a single word reply but if you are doing this for getting something in return which makes you as untrustworthy person but you won't get banned only will get negative trust ratings from DT members.if your post or the post of the person you want to give merit is high quality then doing a merit reply is not a bad thing. the bad thing is when you give more than 1 merit to posts that use short words like hi and how are you!
Starting my journey to reach those quality cadres by learning rules and terms carefully like a syllabus. ha ha

Yes, and recently it has started working. People want high-rank to join quality campaigns. Since the merit system was put in place, the high-rank member think they are still safe with their current rank and there is no attempt to improve the quality of the posts. When low-rank members start to work hard and meet the criteria of being a good poster, high ranking starts to lose the opportunity to join the campaign.
Although there may still be merit tradings out there, I think their efforts will be in vain if they are not really a good poster. In fact, high-quality managers have fair qualifications to employ campaign participants and shitposter will never have the opportunity.
