Online casinos are indeed quite easy to access by anyone, including teenagers who are under the age of 18, unless the online casino applies KYC at the beginning, of course the teenager will not be able to gamble unless he shows an ID card as a condition that the casino applies, but online casinos now don't a lot of players apply KYC except for a few big wins, and that's what I know.
~

As we know, most casinos don't ask for any serious KYC at all before you win and want to make a withdrawal. This always annoyed me because they accept money without any problems at all, but they give it back with difficulty. And I also wonder why parents don’t fill up such casinos with lawsuits (even fake ones) on the topic “my child became a gambler because of your non-working KYC”. After all, many people like to sue out of the blue simply in the hope of sue some money in their favor.

I came across an article How Old Do You Have to Be to Gamble in USA?. In this article, i saw that the minimum age to gamble is between 18 to 21 years. I wonder if the online casino do follow this minimum age for gambling.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?

When one becomes an adult I think one is old enough to play gamble, being adult is the time for someone to make decisions on how to live life. Apart from playing gambling in adulthood , getting a source of income can also be the right time to start playing gamble, I mean playing with the amount that can be afforded to lose.

Online casinos can easily be accessed and I think that teenagers below this age do gamble online because it will not be difficult for them to register and start gambling. At 18,it shows that you are an adult and should be left alone to make decisions on your own and face any consequences of your actions if they are illegal or against the law.

On land base casino,I don't know if the casino will have their own age limit at 18yrs. This also depends on the casino,it an be differ from one country to another or from one state to another. Anybody below 18yrs that gambles and win big in a casino that say 18-21 years,he might find it difficult to cash out his wins

Of course land casinos have a minimum age limit for gambling but this varies if land casinos let the child enter and play gambling then the casinos have violated the legal rules that have been set because I think land casinos must have rules that have been set by the government as their license and also the regulations.

Minors were playing online casinos before KYC became a thing in crypto casinos, and I believe they are still doing so in casinos that are not rigorous or haven't adopted KYC yet. Also, I'm sure they'll figure out a means to avoid KYC, such as discreetly obtaining adult IDs, such as their parents, and so forth. We have what we term "perya" in our area, and children, including grade schoolers, are allowed to gamble.
Even if they stole their parents' ID, they won't still pass the selfie stage unless if they will tell their parents about it but I doubt if their parents will agree. The best thing that they can do is to use their parent's account in their own devices if they are also into gambling. They just want to make sure that they don't bust all the money so that their parent won't be suspicious about it and if they win, they will need to withdraw most of the money in to their own accounts.

The Perya thing, you're talking about there seems like a tradition already in some towns, that is why it's more legal and all ages are allowed there. It's not really that alarming since they don't last long and the games offered are not that addicting compared to the real casinos.

For sure the minimum age that you can gamble is 18, but the legal age to gamble for most countries are in the age of 21, and this 21 age was the one that is typically in the state of law, but I think this only applies with face-to-face casino's and not applicable with online Casino's or Sports gambling online, that doesn't have KYC, or even with KYC but is not that kind of strict with requirements, mostly gamblers can put fake identity and age, just to bypass those KYC that are not strict, for sure that age requirements are not likely followed, likely there can easily gamble, without the consent of anybody

As we all know that the age limit for gambling in casinos varies from country to country and can also depend on certain casino policies. And in most countries the minimum age for gambling in casinos is 18 years, there is also in some countries the age limit may be 21 years or more.
and 18 years and over are considered adults, but it is important to remember that gambling can be addictive and can have negative social and financial consequences, so it is important to gamble responsibly and really think maturely and play maturely to avoid addiction.

Well, that addictive part is a different story while limiting the gambling used for a certain age was really the problem but we can not really say that younger gamblers can become addicted to gambling easily because sometimes we will surely never know when he becomes addicted, or what is triggered for it on a human mind, but well as I have said there are many that triggered it, but certain that is a topic for another thread, right now age restriction is not really solid prevention for online gambling because certain individuals will eventually play online casino, with younger age, surely there is the much younger generation that is tech-savvy than with the adults now,

one of the reasons why some gambling sites require KYC is to prevent underage gamblers from using their parents' money to gamble but nowadays children are very smart, they can falsify KYC data, they will only pay some parents to do KYC for their account.

the minimum age in gambling is almost difficult to implement effectively, there are many loopholes to get away from it, and one other important thing, many gambling sites also do not require KYC for their users.  It is necessary to intervene from all parties to be able to prevent under the age of understanding gambling as early as possible.

Yup! They will surely be using a fake account purposely playing in a casino or sports gambling site hiding age is not a problem with people anymore, and sometimes provided information will be fake or a different identity of the person, the gambling site will never know that the person playing a bet was his son or daughter that have used his identity instead, that is how smart a kid can be this day, and with the Addiction problem it will be even worst that might happen,

I believe that in most countries the age limit of gambling is the same which is from 18,but nowadays people below this age do gamble in an offline casino and government don't care about doing their job. Two streets after mine is a Betking shop,I do see boys below 18 that are always there gambling and I begin to ask myself that where is the government. It is these same underage boys that will go and steal to gamble they are very much vulnerable to addiction. Likewise an online casino will be the same thing happening, fake information can be used for KYC.
Perhaps, that's true, but it's best to raise the minimum gambling age limit above 20 or 21 years. At 18, many young people still cannot think in an adult way and still follow their emotions. So if this continues, there is a possibility that many young people will lose control of themselves in gambling. But we know that children have started gambling with each other, and their parents don't know about it. And this depends on how the children get along. If they can keep themselves social, they will not try to gamble and will stay away from it.
I agree with you that it is better to be 21 or more to gamble because gamblers of that age can control them self. But according to the current context that will not be possible because most of the youth of today start to consider themselves mature around 18 or 20 years. Moreover, most of the gamblers nowadays are relatively young. 20 years or 21 years are what I consider the perfect age for gambling. However, if casinos or gambling platforms do not allow gamblers under this age to gamble, then this age issue can be solved.

well kids do have the freewill to do that. i hid with my friends playing cards when i was in high school. no one dares to stop us even when older people are around. gambling is common in my country, the only time the authorities will stop a teen from gambling is when a camera is on them.

when the media snoop on them, that's when the action began. but in most cases, kids gambling in hidden places is common is fine. as long as it's not in a public place. they are safe.

I don't know of other countries but gambling in my country is strictly for people that are 18+. However because of the fact there's limited number of law enforcement agencies that will punish offenders,  their seem to be good number of under age children in gambling sites
Also in my country gambling is strictly 18+, but you won’t even see any law enforcement at any gambling shop to stop underage gamblers from gambling, and in my country their are lots of online gambling sites which you can gamble with fiat currency online, without submitting your kyc for verification, most of the gambling site which you can gamble with fiat currency those not request for kyc for verification, so it’s very easy for even underage to gamble and nobody will notice that. I think those gambling sites just care about the money they are making, and they don’t care if underage are gambling or not, they are not doing anything to stop underage from gambling.

I will like to adopt the age limit of 21 because being a teenage, it's still somehow a little bit risky to get exposed to gambling that early when there are many things the child can develop interest to learn and get used to at that particular age, but having additional years of three will help the child to have grown more experience about live and in learning how to descern from doing things, maturity level of a 21 uears old is far better than that of 18 year in most cases, the 18 years old boy is not the starting point to being independent completely, there are still some limitations to give till they achieve 21 years old even though the law may permit them to gamble but they shouldn't

The demand for gambling worldwide is so high that most gambling platforms do not set age limits. If there is kyc then many people are hindered but if valid and licensed then age does not matter. But in my opinion it is not right to legalize the gambling of minors. They need to have a minimum gambling age of 16-21 years. Gambling with casino games requires some experience or skill. Most games are mathematically arranged in such a way that families suffer more than gamblers. When a gambler starts before the right age in a gambler's life, gambling problems arise in the life of a certain type of adolescent child. Crypto gambling does not set an age limit but prevents minors from growing up.

From 5 years to Max 23 years is the minimum age restriction in gambling globally. You can read this thread if you are interested to know which country allows a 5 year old toddler. Age restriction in gambling, although in most countries where gambling is legal the age varies from 18 to 21. Most online casino and crypto casino follow the same law. If they don't then they risk losing their license.
Of course, every country will have different regulations regarding gambling because some prohibit or allow it, so if a country allows gambling, there must also be special requirements for anyone who will gamble in that country.
If in a land-based casino you can easily limit the age because visitors are always monitored and asked for identification there, so it can be easy if there are ages who are still not allowed to enter the casino.
But for crypto casinos it can be seen whether the gambler is old enough or not depending on KYC while there are also casinos that don't require KYC but also have a license.

Yes, the gambling sites have our age data through the KYC documents. Do they ever restrict anyone who is underage to not to gamble?
Also, if we find any site allowing minors to gamble, can legal action be taken against them?

There is no effect method for casino's particularly online casinos to monitor and block underaged gamblers from using their platform for gambling. Some underaged gamblers grew up in homes where their parents do not care about them or where they have an irresponsible adult that do not mind handling over their documents for the kid to register and gamble on their behalf. Some kids may steal the documents of the adults in the house and use it for gambling.

In my estimation, most casinos try to follow the regulations with regards to underaged gambling but then it is just not possible to totally monitor it. The best way which I know for now is the video call from a casino staff as part of the KYC verification process. But for sports betting, this is near impossible. Where I live, a trip to a physical sports bookie will reveal to you that we have an underaged gambling pandemic on our hands.
In fact, your statement brings to light a problem that the gaming business continues to face. Although both online and land-based casinos make an attempt to combat it, underage gambling is a serious problem that is difficult to solve. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, such as biometric verification or face recognition software, might be one answer. But these innovations have their own constraints and privacy problems, so they fall short of providing a complete solution.

Community and social responsibility may fill up the gaps left by technology. The public has to be made aware of the dangers of underage gambling and the value of protecting personal papers. Despite its size, the obstacle is manageable. We can make sure that gambling is always a fun and responsible hobby for persons of legal age by working hard and thinking creatively. Together, we can change things; this is a cause worth fighting for.

All licensed casino platforms around the world must adhere to specific rules to operate their casino platform. If any kind of fault is found in that place, their license is likely to be revoked. However, some casino platforms show flexibility on various issues related to KYC. Consequence of this fact, even a minor gets a chance to gamble. If an error is found, the gambler is more likely to suffer. Minors should not play gamble, similarly no casino platform should allow minors to gamble.

Casino follow this since if not they are the one who will get sued by the government and receive penalties for not restricting minors not to play on their platform. This is the reason why they implement a KYC feature to filter out there users and disallow minors to play their casino.

But its undeniable that there are some minors fake out their details that's why see a few of them still gamble even if there's restriction impose by law and by the rules of the casino.

These landbased casinos you mentioned will find themselves in a big mess once authorities realize they aren't checking the IDs of young people entering their places. The law is really harsh on this matter and even clandestine casinos which operate illegaly don't allow underage gamblers on their houses. It's a kind of moral standard every casinos follow, despite them being legal or not.

The only exception are decentralized casinos, as no documents are required to join in, so anyone, including children, can access them, create an account and start gambling. However, children are unlikely to have a source of income to gamble, so it's not a big issue to say the truth.
