sebastian Vettel spoken to journalists today and admitted how he had been feeling over the past few weeks.

The German driver admitted that in recent days he has been in contact with Toto Wolff

But the news doesn't stop there, the driver has basically made it clear that he could return to racing in 2025 but it depends a lot on the level of the car he would be entrusted with

NIIIIIICE!!!  I honestly would love to see him get the second drive at Mercedes than the smug Alonso tbh...  And he'd be some sort of mentor for Mick Schumacher too which is ideal.  It was said that Vettel wanted Mick Schumacher to be his replacement after he had left and he was really fighting for this to happen.  But as we have already seen want happened, he was unsuccessful.

Damn.  If Horner and Newey leaves for Ferrari and Vettel returns in F1 as a Mercedes driver, I'd be rooting for both Ferrari and Mercedes.  Cheesy Cheesy

after the big earthquake that hit Taiwan, a rumor began to circulate according to which the Japanese Grand Prix might be canceled due to possible tsunamis and dangers deriving from it.

The danger seems to have canceld for now and there don't seem to be any consequences for the motorsport weekend.

I don't think they are going to cancel the event just because earthquakes no matter how strong they are and if they come from waters like Tsunami. The reason is that Japan is used to such events and they call them normal happenings, sure sometimes there maybe dangerous ones yet usually these are not common, the last one was that which created a huge crater in the road in 2008 or 2010 which they fixed already the next day,so most likely the event will be on.

^  I don't think so.  That's just sports journos trying to rile everyone up for your attention.  The more eye balls, the better.  But at the end of it all, if it brings more attention in F1 then all in all it could be a good thing.  And the tsunami scare is over now as the earth quake happened more than 12 hours ago.

Anyway here's the race weekend's schedule.  Can't wait for this one... Smiley

2024 F1 Japanese Grand Prix Schedule

April 5:  Practice 1  11:30 - 12:30
April 5:  Practice 2  15:00 - 16:00

April 6:  Qualifying  15:00 - 16:00

I think the only way Verstappen to leave would be after the expected changes are made in 2026. If Red Bull doesn't have the fastest car then he would think of leaving seriously. Some people say he might even think of an early retirement but it doesn't make sense to me. I don't think he will leave F1 this quick. Why would he?  Huh

Some Formula 1 news accounts on X tried an April Fools' Day joke yesterday by saying that Verstappen made up his mind to join Mercedes.  Grin

What if this happens for real?  Roll Eyes  But not expecting such thing next season at least.

Where do you think Max could go? Mercedes?

RedBull is very competitive at the moment, would Verstappen take a step backwards or not? Personally I think if Max moves from RedBull it would be to Ferrari when Hamilton retires?

If will leave RBR he can go only to Mercedes or Aston Martin.
Aston Martin is rumored to be sold to Aramco, and if they buy a team it will be for dominating in F1 also.

Arabs when they comes they go all in or nothing.

If they promise him to give a great car,a winning car then it is a sure thing Max would be joining Aston Martin as I agree once you have the budget that Arabs have, chances are really high they are going to buy all the great guys in F1 and make them work in a team, the team that they want to sponsor and make it a winning car in the sport.Lately there is a surge for desire to be performing well in different sports from Arabs, they are making 2-3 tracks in Formula 1 per year now and they are also investing heavily by bringing good players to the Saudi League.

Let's not forget Audi will also join in 2026 and that can be a chance too as they also have the know how and they have a huge budget to invest in Formula 1.

some news.

Australia will return as the opening match of the championship from next year, in this way we will avoid having matches during the Arab Ramadan on Saturday.
Villeneuve said that in his opinion Wolff is not really trying to sign Max Verstappen but is just making a disruptive move by putting pressure on the red-bull.

Max's chief mechanic has left Redbull, RBB continues to lose prices, is this the beginning of the decline?

I don't think Max is going anywhere right now, when he was shouting in the radio after he won his first Championship he was saying let's keep doing this for another ten years guys and I think he really meant this.I also think that every good driver should drive a Ferrari as Sebastian Vettel said, everyone is a Ferrari fan even those who say they are not Ferrari fans,in reality they and everyone are Ferrari fans.

For Max though as long as he will be winning such easy Championships I doubt he would be willing to leave Redbull anytime soon as I am sure he wants to maximize his time there before moving out of such team and starting his new journey adventure.

New news is circulating.
Carlos Sainz could go to Aston Marin next year.
It is not yet clear whether instead of Alonso (he could go to Mercedes) or in place of the boss's son, Stroll.
He certainly won't remain unemployed with the performance he is having.

At this point, Sainz can let himself relax and just wait for offers to come to him. Because his performance is quite good on the circuit, from strategy to decision making, he is a mature racer. Whether it's Aston Martin or another team, they definitely won't be disappointed in hiring Sainz as their driver.

Sainz should just opt for 1 year contract though in order to not miss his chance with Audi in 2026.Audi is a very powerful group having an unlimited budget and they can as well be a dominant force in the few upcoming years we have to wait for to see them really kicking in.

If Sainz opts for 2 or more years contracts which is what is common nowadays in Formula 1 then he really is making a risky choice to stay with any team except Audi which voices circulate they are going to be bringing a really good car to the grid.

Alonso is really keen on joining a bigger and more capable team lately. He has been clearly showing his interest for seats that might be available next year. If he is being transferred by Mercedes or maybe even Red Bull it would be really interesting. I would be very keen on watching him fighting hard against his teammate whoever he will be.  Smiley

Alonso is still very competitive. He wants to achieve one last title before his retirement. His reflexes are still in incredible shape. I still can't forget his rivalry with Perez in the Brazilian GP last year.  Cheesy  But we'll see. If Aramco makes a move to buy Aston Martin like it is rumoured then maybe Alonso can be convinced to stay with big targets.

an auction contest is breaking out around Carlos Sainz.

Undoubtedly he is the unemployed driver that everyone would like from next year, today for example the rumor of AUDI has spread strongly but the problem for them is that they will not be in Formula 1 next year but the following one.

And I doubt Sainz can remain without a car when he is wanted by half of F1.

Sainz is really rumoured with many teams these days.  Grin  We will probably see him joining Audi in two years but his future is ambiguous for next season for now. There are three options on which people have talked about: Mercedes, Red Bull and Aston Martin. He could surely be a great choice for Mercedes after losing a great driver like Hamilton.

For him to be able to join Red Bull they would need to part ways with Sergio Perez first though. If Perez keeps up the good work I don't think such thing will happen. Aston Martin is the latest rumour. Taking Stroll's place would make Aston Martin much more competitive.

Hamilton to Ferrari, Sainz to Aston Martin and Alonso to Merecedes as a trade would actually benefit every team. Sainz is already a great racer and him being at Aston Martin would mean that Aston would have someone next to Stroll to do fine, however I am afraid that will be for just one year, because we know that Sainz will go to Audi by 2026 so that means Aston will have him for only one year and then need to find someone else later on.

Not that Stroll is any good, but he will always stay, he basically owns the team because his father literally owns the team. Lets see, we are going to end up with a good trade next season if those three switch seats, and seeing Hamilton in Ferrari gear will definitely be something fun to see.

Those two transfers with Alonso to Mercedes and Sainz to Aston Martin because Alonso could move to Mercedes makes the most sense.  After Mercedes loses Hamilton, who's the next best driver with some championship history under his belt?  For sure it's nobody else but Alonso and he could possibly give the team some podium finishes too.  Sainz on the other hand fits in with a smaller but ambitious team with Aston Martin.  An above average driver who could help with car development and to be Stroll's team mate.  Lmao.

Anyway, Japanese GP is next.  One of my favorite tracks is Suzuka.

Basically, for me the son stroll is too weak for Formula 1, even if the team belongs to the father, the father would have to draw a line, because Formula 1 is also about money and without points there is no money. Sainz alongside Alonso would definitely be a win for the team.

big change expected for MOTOGP.
"Liberty media" which is currently the owneer of formula one has almost finalized the agreement for the acquisition of the motorbike circus.
The figure should be around 4 billion euros.
If this were true, more races should be held in the United States of America.
I also had time to read this news on someone's reel via my social media and also saw this news again on motorsport.com media where the agreement could be announced in the next few days, ahead of the third round of the 2024 MotoGP season at the Grand Prix of the Americas on 12-12 April 14. And if that really happens, I think what you said could become a reality in MotoGP and will be a big change in the MotoGP sector itself.
