So I’ve invested a bit of money into altcoins about a year ago, and did a bit of trading but then slowly lost the track of it... Until today, where I found my ledger in my closet and decided to give it another look.
So here I am now looking at my coins , and thinking on what to do... Hold on? Sell?...

I’m down about 60% of my investment.

You should invest in altobees that have sidaway for 2-3 weeks. Because these altcoins will soon be pumped at this stage. This is the stage where the altcoins are at low value so it is easy to pump. You have to keep hold it and will be bad idea to sell in this bearish market. Bearish trend is not forever and later will be change to bullish, if in the end of this year the market will not change to bullish, we have to wait untill next year. Never sell in loss and by keep patient to hold it, later you will get big reward for that.
Thats correct, it would be a good idea that not to see our ports whatever happen this year, some of my friends in facebook suggested me to stay away from crypto in order to avoid stress, and in fact if i am a true believer of bitcoin and crypto, i should be a long term holder of it, you know, my alts are all down and i am just sleeping all day long, i am not interested in logging my portfolio, it makes me sad.
2018 is a bad year for crypto and many people have experienced a decline in the value of their assets, but I think holding is the best choice at this time to avoid more losses and remain patient waiting for prices to rise again
You are not the only one, 90% of all investors have lost large sums in a year and are reinvesting in the hope of returning it all. Another thing is whether it will give them technology or continue to disappoint.

Well all I can really say is to hold these coins, simply because they are already so low in value that you will not be able to get the satisfaction that you want by selling it at a very low price. Just keep it and wait for the prices to go up. That is what many people are saying here and that is what I am going to say.
Your altcoins only ? No man , you arent the one that experiencing this problem because even me and anyone are also affected with it . the best thing you can do is to hodl them but if you badly need some cash , then i think it is okay to sell some . just dont forget to re purchase again whenever you already have the cash and whenever there is another dip . goodluck
You totally forgot about man, I suggest uou trow that ledger bavk in your closet or lock it away. You already down 60 percent and forgot that you had an investment i mean letting it sit for a while and check how much it can go is a no brainer. Stick around you might get back your investment then thats the time you think about selling.

Unfortunately, many investors are faced with a similar problem and major financial problems. Now the advice is universal for everyone - you need to be patient and continue to hold your good coins. After all, now prices are at a minimum level, they do not need to be sold.

I think if you sell the altcoin that you have now, then it will make you lose everything. moreover, the current situation does not support making sales. in my opinion, it's better now that you hold the altcoin you have until the altcoin price improves.

maybe before investing you already know all the risks that you will get in investing with crypto currencies, prices cannot be ascertained and the confidence and patience of the main capital in investing
the best suggestion would be holding it for a while or better hold it for two year and wait for the market to recover rather than selling it all now and lose more money.
It is better to hold your altcoins in situation like this even if you bought them at ATH before as what is the point of selling it low now in which it will just ensure your losses. You are not alone in this difficult situation but there are many investors are already lose their capital but if you will just extend your patience then there will be a high chance that you will take back the losses as the market is have been in this situation so many times before but still survived.
Most of us are having the same portfolio we are all losing some of our investment because of the continues drop from the market,

The bearish of the cryptocurrency market makes the price bad! And I think the sharp drop at 2018 is temporary and the market will grow in the next year 2019. And this is the necessary thing you can do it now is hold and wait for the bright future.

I also lost about 80% of my investment .Now the market is downtrend , most of all the currencies are down a lot , it's normal when your investment are down about 60% of value .
