   I'm sorry to say that Bitsumo will shut down for the foreseeable future, we have a problem with our payments system we need to resolve before we can get back to taking orders.

No customer funds are affected and all orders up to this minute have been processed successfully.

I just used Bitsumo last week for the first time and the experience was fantastic. Previously had been using snapcard, but they shutdown their buying service so I gave Bitsumo a try and couldn't have been happier. I wasn't sure at first since I couldn't find many reviews or info past August 2013 aside from this thread. Pablo was pleasant, very helpful and communicated what the service could and couldn't do in regards to credit card and shipping issues Bitsumo has to deal with from retailers. He recommended larger retailers, but I was still able to order from a smaller company. I received by order within a couple days. I ordered roughly $500 in gaming accessories and will be using Bitsumo again in the future.  Cheesy

Effective tomorrow Friday October 31st we will no longer be charging additional fees for products bought at stores outside the U.S. if prices are denominated in USD. That means that anyone ordering from amazon.co.uk, amazon.de, etc. will be charged only our regular fee of 2.5% + 3.5 USD.

There are some very rare exceptions to this rule like long pre-orders where Amazon does not provide a USD denominated price but by and large 99.999% of all purchases are covered by this new policy.

I just got done making a $480 purchase off of ebay with bitsumo.

Things couldn't have gone any better.  I talked to Pablo and he was a nice guy.  His English is great if anybody wonders about that....

The purchase was made within hours and I received the item just as I would have if I ordered it right off ebay.

We will unfortunately not be able to place new orders that require credit card payments (PayPal is still fine) until around Friday this week. I will let everyone know when the new cards arrive and we are ready to take credit card orders again.

If you look at our thread this has happened a couple of times before (a consequence of placing orders at a large number of sites with varying degrees of security). Everything is under control and we will be back up ASAP.

No customer funds are being held or affected in any way.

It will be great if you can accept chinese payment method and it help with the grow of bitcoin as well .

Yep, I agree, unfortunately the fraud risk is too high. It's a tough call cause we do a lot of business with those sites but I think it's a necessary call to maintain us as a viable site.

   Haven't posted in a while (sorry), been quite busy with orders but I will try to carve out more time for the thread starting now.

I just want to let everyone know we are placing a blanket ban on orders from Chinese sites. There has been a disproportionate amount of fraud going on there and it's caused me a lot of grief so I think it's just better to avoid these sites in future. Unfortunately, a couple of bad apples tend to ruin it for everyone.

  Yes, correct. Any site based in China or whose payment processor is Chinese.

It was a hard choice but there is an exorbitant amount of risk and fraud in transacting here and discrimating the good ones from the bad ones goes down to splitting hairs unfortunately.

  We don't do reshipping, just FYI. As long as the store you are ordering from accepts U.S. credit cards and will ship to wherever you are, we are good to go.

A lot of foreign stores will not do this, so we are likely to tell you so in the pre-ordering process. If you want to ship something from the U.S. abroad it's best to sign up with a reshipping company.

Amazon and it's regional stores are always great and never present any problems Smiley.
