Should those 5 post be something meaningful or just spam?

I've been here for the last 2 months but did not think about sign-up.  Anyway, I've got my 5 hours & 2 posts, so here goes the third one.

Making 5 posts isn't that much trouble either. Smiley

I get spammers is annoying, I get the 4 hour delay. I don't get the logic in making me post 5 times when I have one board. Seems counter intuitive.

I agree, but what is a better solution?

Some forums charge a dollar for full access.  Maybe something could be setup with bitcoin faucet. Like, you can post 5 times or you can donate some small amount (maybe the equivalent of a dollar) and be able to post immediately (or as soon as your transfer is confirmed).

Yes bingo bang bongo! Money makes the world go round. In the true sense of capitalism, you should be able to buy your way out of the 4 hour restriction. I'll pay Smiley time is money, my time is worth for more to me than a few dollars Wink Where do I sign up?

I am mostly a lurker, I don't post unless I've got something to say. Far too many people post when they have nothing to say at all (this applies to every forum I've ever been on) there will always be people that measure their self worth by a post-count on a random internet message board, they are perfectly entitled to - who am I to judge Smiley

I doubt whether these rules are really that effective, but oh well. Making 5 posts isn't that much trouble either. Smiley

Hi,

I've been doing my research, digging into and reading about bitcoin for 2 months. Yet I cannot post on the forum, I find this very strange.

I suggest that people who read the forum regularly should be considered established, as it's obvious they are not spammers.

And yes.. I'm only posting this to have some forum posts, super lame Sad

Yeah 4 hours seems pretty strict for a newcomer.. maybe 1 hour would be better?

This seems very reasonable,  I read this and decided to actually register and make a few posts.

Since we are in cyberspace, you (or we) can't just reach out and slap the sh*t out of someone that really needs it, so the policy seems very fair.  I wish every forum had these kinds of restrictions.
(I would still love to create an app that allows me to physically slap someone on the internet, I could make millions)

Anyway, thanks and HELLO EVERYBODY!

-Eddie

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.
- You need 50 posts to put an image in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted.

That sounds totally reasonable.

100% agree, there should guideline and discipline,
