The ICO dates have been determined! Round 1 will start Monday, September 3rd on the first block after 18:00 UTC and end Friday, September 7th on the last block before 18:00 UTC.
Round 2 of the sale will start Monday, September 10th on the first block after 18:00 UTC and end Friday, September 14th on the last block before 18:00 UTC.

Who knows, maybe this would be the rebellious blockchain that we all are waiting for the one who would be appointed to overthrow the blockchain of Bitcoin that are used and old already, we will wait as well.
You are talking about NEO or NEX? Probably NEO, right? Imho, it all depends on the adoption, rather than the better technology. And the BTC and even ETH are now maybe already to adopted to be overthrown. Maybe, only regulator adoption could overthrow the big players. I could see that if the Chinese government adopts NEO as theirs (for god knows what), I could believe that it will surpass ETH. Atm, very unlikely though...

You should not be so excited about the project yet, especially by calling it - one of the best projects of this year. A lot of great projects already come out this year but it is getting too many and competition is growing

Also I don't quite understand what keeps holding them back, this has been going on too long now without proper updates. If a project already fails to communicate updates before the ICO, I don't want to picture how they will engage their community once they collected their funds.

But, this means the team is thinking seriously and holders of the coin will have some legal security (to some extent).

I think that best DEX will be DEX from Binance because this DEX will have very big 24 hour volume.Have you even checked the whitepaper? Every DEX is the same, sure. Just they are very slow and hard to use, not to mention maintenance on sites. Putting the settlement of the exchange pair off-chain is the idea behind NEX, making it very fast, yet still a DEX.
Postponing of the exchange was also explained - NEX token will be an actual security. A legal paper from the real world - something very rare and strange in crypto (but of course veeery good). That means, that as a holder of the token, you will also have some legal rights from it. And to create a security takes long time at the regulation and other state law offices (all around the world).
The development of the exchange is independent to ICO launch. They have the necessary funds to develop the exchange - the funds gathered with ICO will be used in the future. Exchange is still to be launched at the end of Q3.

Neon Exchange will start in April? April last year? I do not think it is a good strategy to postpone the token sale. Who knows where crypto will be after one year and how many decentralized exchnages will exist. If there be a lot of, it will be very difficult for NEX to beat the competition.full member

It is something that is still in its infancy and so are laws and regulations for it. There are so many ICOs out there that will take your money and promise you nada but when one decides to actually do it properly you guys still complain... amazing.

People maybe don't realize it (yet), but NEX team (City of Zion) are actually already progressing the crypto market and moving some milestones.
First of all, the idea of DEX that actually works is something that the crypto ecosystem definetly needs.
Secondly, the lottery ICO could set an example, how could the most hyped ICOs be run, so they are most fair. There were so many ICO's that had gas wars or just pure luck with the internet, sites crashed... All the much hyped ICOs were a disaster. I know some people were sad they didn't get it the lottery, but they wouldn't get in the gas wars as well. This is the most fair system that favours small investors.
Thirdly, if this is true what you say, that the NEX token could actually be a fully legit security or at least close to it, that would be huge. That you could actually use law to get (some of) the funds back if they screw up or intentionally scam etc. Close to the rights stockholders or bond holders have on traditional markets. In that case I could wait another 6 months for the ICO easily, as I know that these law regulations take a lot of time.
NEX team is currently on of the best (new) teams in the ecosystem!
