You can list it on some decentralized exchange if it is a token, ERC-20, TRC-20, BEP-20 tokens could be normally added to DEX even the team didn´t pay for listing on a centralized exchange. Try IDEX, TronTrade.  Wink
And do you think people will buy unknown coins in Decentralized exchanges?? Maybe yes, but a lot of people will prefer to buy coins which listing in good centralized exchanges such as Binance, Okex, etc. If the team keep using free method listing, the project will die very soon

I must underscore this as much as possible ; a coin is just as important as what individuals are happy to sell it for. Just to give a model, bitcoin is $9k at the present time, that implies individuals are happy to sell even under the least favorable conditions $9k for it, if there were individuals who are eager to sell for $5k, they previously sold it for that.
It implies for this time being, most minimal individuals are happy to sell for is $9.3k and not lower, in any case cost would have gone down. That exists for altcoins also, whatever individuals are eager to sell for is the lower part of that cost. Nonetheless on the off chance that it isn't on a trade, how is it possible that you would realize what individuals are eager to purchase or sell it for? You can't realize that and that is one reason why no coin could have such a value point without recognizing what individuals are happy to sell it for or get it at.

You buy a cryptocurrency that has only 1 exchange listed it. Now that that exchange is closed and you're stuck with what you already own, which sounds funny. What did you think when you bought them?
I think a good project will be listed on multiple platforms and that platform already has the technical elements in place so it won't be hacked.
You should forget them because no one wants to own it.
Next time, choose a cryptocurrency that is supported by many exchanges and has a good team of developers.

So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

What do you think I should do now?
For erc tokens listing is not a big deal as there are many dexes available now and icing on the cake are the instant swap exchanges like uniswap but yes liquidity is still something still required by most coins.

This is what happens when you buy shitcoins/altcoins without doing proper research about them. It is totally you fault that you bought this token. I would never by an altcoin which is listed only on one exchanger. Becuase it has huge risk. If that exchanger goes off or they delist the token my token value will come to zero. This is what happened with you. So,from next time do some proper research before buying any shit coin.
Worst, people invest in coins that didn't even list on any exchange at all because they thought the price was better when it still, hmm how I put it, 'underground'? Making an investment is very hard and don't gamble too much into a coin that only listed at one shitty exchange that could go out or order at any moment. To OP, you should really move on and don't pay attention to that no value coin anymore.

Yeah, good suggestion that's can be possible easily but what kind of benefit he will get to list dead project. Definitely centralized exchange will take listing fee (depend on liquidity) if known exchange. Without fee you can add in new launched shit exchanges.

Honestly it is just one of the factor that you are considering and also I believe it controls tiny portion to its value.

There are many coins which gets listed on various exchanges still they sit lame out there with no as such value. For coins to get value they need proper follow up of their roadmap and real developments to gain popularity and investment in the long run.

And yeah, you are not able to get the value because simply it's not popular enough due to no exposure at all.

Ooh tough luck buddy. Ive heard that batcoins are being abandoned even by the creators at that. Batcoins are basically of no value anymore. Im sorry to hear about that.
I don't think that OP even made a research about the project, he was easily entice by what he could had seen and quickly bought some hoping that it would give him a profitable return of his/her investments bit unfortunately it is not going to be that way, he lost his opportunity to invest in a more known and established coins that is know making a lot of gains due to some price hike recently.

the wrong thing is when you buy coins, but only list on one exchange and it's a bad exchange. When this happens, you have no other choice but to wait for the coin to list on some exchange again. try to join the telegram group, and ask it to the developer there.

Another option is to rely on DEX sites such as forkdelta and etherdelta. It is possible to trade most of the tokens in these platforms, even if they are not listed in the mainstream exchanges. But from what I have seen, the prices can be very low. If you want to sell some tokens for ETH, then depending on the token you may receive only 10% to 50% of the actual value. For getting fair price, you need to rely on the mainstream exchanges.

But OP isn't the team of the "batcoin". Can he list it on an exchange?
I think only the team of the "batcoin" who can list the coins. So, people can trust it to buy and hold. While even OP can list it on Idex, TronTrade, or other DEX, who can believe the coins and desire to buy it? People who buy crypto coins should be based on the trust on the project potential in the future, not only because it is already listed on an exchange. A coin that is listed already on an exchange, will be delisted soon if no volume, or no transaction at all.

I advise you to pray and hope that the project of the coin you invested will continue to run and have progress, so that the coin that you invest can have value and many investors will believe to investing in these coin, then the price of the coin you invest can increase very high and give you a big profit.

No more day dream, that is a complete loss for the OP and it could be added to wonder of the world is such things happens in reality as you said.

Don't buy coins based on its price and price growth, it is always important to check the development stage of the project and the team behind it.

But no one will buy those tokens, I see many projects tried to list them at the DEX because it is free. But we need the volume and the investors, if there are no investors, the project is meaningless.

Well that is the cons of investing in cryptocurrencies we cannot tell whether the coin is going to risen its value or to depreciate its value and become valueless so I suggest that before investing take time to read infos and facts regarding the cyptos that you want to invest with so it won't turned out to be worthless.

Well that was the reality if there is no exchange there is no value at all because tokens cannot be used as a payment on super market we can only sell or trade it on exchange so if there is no exchange token is just a trash and no value at all that is why crypto exchange is very important.

Theers nothing you can do but to hold those shit tokens into your bag and just hope for that coin to be listed again on some exchange and sell it off immediately if you do have the chance.
This is a common mistake where people do buy tons of coins in an unknown or not so popular exchange and i dont know on what are their criterias on considering it out rather than
focusing or directly prefer bitcoin into their investment options. For alts then its still questionable and high likely for you to fail.It would be more better and much more wiser if you do rather
select top alts on buying rather than  buying unknown coins into an unknown exchange. lol
From my experience, people just get the mentioned useless tokens from bounty campaigns and they regret to pay for it. The sh*tcoins have no value with an exchange or without it, obviously. Buying the top altcoins also carries some risks which can make it worse than investing in the useless tokens in terms of ROI. Profit is made with sitting tight, so making the right investment is not way to be successful in this world because patience is in deep need of this destination.
