A coin or token is worthless, valueless or useless until it is listed on exchanges whether top exchanges or bad exchanges, where a price will be placed on it, thus determining how valuable or useless it can be. About your coin, I don't know about it, actually it's my first time of hearing it, but since your token is in your personal wallet then there is no issue because the team will try to maintain their project thus listing on another exchange. Also from another angle, the team can still overlook everything and exit the project using the exchange hacking as an excuse, nothing is impossible for most team to do. What you should do is to meet the team and know their plans, but if they have abandoned the project or showing to be less concerned then forget about it and move on as there is little you can do.

Nothing you can do than to hold the coin tight and keep hoping for the best, hopefully the team will decides to revived the project one day. Currently batcoin is not listed on any exchange which means you can't exchange your coin to real money.

you have done a good thing to have withdrawn the coins to your wallet. exchange hacking shouldnt affect the value of a real project. moreover thats why its always good to ensure a project is listed on two or more exchanges. any good project that encounters this usually comes back stronger. if this coin is such a good one, it will take a step to next exchange for trading.

if the coins you have do not have an exchange then your coins also have no value and maybe you have no hope of selling all the coins you have. if you don't mind maybe you can mention the name of the coin, but is it possible that the coins you have are only listed on 1 Exchange only?
There are no official exchange for this coin other thing if have demand on the market than last hope is decentralized exchange but i think no investors here, so no chances to sell it. It’s a dead coin if he try to list in the exchange to spend his own money but no way to sell without buyer, so that only listing isn’t matter for dead project.

So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

What do you think I should do now?

just wait and keep your coin in your offline wallet,
maybe someday an exchange will add batcoin, except the project become a dead project, thats mean you have no hope anymore
anyway you must learn from your experience, before invest in any cryptocurrency you must do a deep reseacrh mate

From my point of view, there is only option to wait. Unless that coin is listed on any other exchange, let the coins hold the place of your wallet.
I  am also in the same situation with having few k BOK tokens. It's on no exchange.lets hope for the best.

what you mean is this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3244914.new#new and the exchange you are referring to is also
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=BAT_BTC. I found that information at https://nomics.com/assets/batcoin-batcoin. This is a very worthless coin and may have been abandoned by the team, so forget it

The OP mentioned the coin- it's batcoin. Though he didn't give which one it is because there are two BAT coin but I think this is the coin he is referring to - https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/batcoin#markets

The other BAT (Basic Attention Token) are still available in several markets.

From the looks of it, the OP has lost his money on this batcoin, as it seems dead already.

If the tokens that are with you are included in another exchange platform then you are lucky and you can then exchange them. What happened with you happened to me, but I got worse than you and the reason is that I could not transfer my project tokens because the exchange platform has closed and my tokens are lost, so I advise you not to do anything with your tokens and hold them for the long term.

Is the batcoin is a ERC20 token? You can try to sell in forkdelta if there is a buyer. If nothing found then there is nothing you can do with it, just move on.

Dex is the only way and if there's no buyers who are interested to buy your tokens, then you don't have any other choice but to move on and try to find other project to work with, this really happened and to lessen the risk of keep repeating it.,

try to research more deeper before you participate with any project that you'll going to work with.

Try to contact the support of that exchange if they are still active then they might send you tokens back upon verification but, if you can't contact them then I think they are gone for good. May I know which exchange your tokens were on?

The first thing you need to do is to find the website to the project that has the token and from there you will get info about what is the next move. I also hold Amon token which was listed on cryptopia but when it got hacked. The dev took time to get the coin listed on another exchange despite the fact that some holders lost their token on that exchange. In case the project is in active, it is likely you end up holding a dead token

If now, it is no value, you can't do anything with it excepting waiting good news from it in the near future. So, I suggest that you should forget it temporarily and focusing on your main job, earning money and come back with more wise decision

It is very hopeless to know a certain project( or token itself) is not listed to any exchanges and that is an absolute no market value.
A lot of project turns like this and many where coming for sure. That is why investors have less interest in new projects because most of them are just scam and the developer itself don't care about but just their own. This is how it ruins the image of crypto and in somewhat to put in the mind of investors giving them an option not to focus on new projects but for the old ones and running projects.

If it have atleast a little progress then keep holding but if there is no progress at all then move on and find another project you could invest to.
Definitely, it is a waste of time holding these coins which is no chance to recover or even have a point to make a rally. Better to look a new one than to rely this for nothing.

Batcoin is already an abandoned project. Best thing to do is try to track the tokens you're holding.
If it have atleast a little progress then keep holding but if there is no progress at all then move on and find another project you could invest to.
Best of luck!

all you can do now is pray that the coins you buy will have value in the future, for now there is nothing you can do. but by the way what is the name of the exchange you mean?
If the coin has no value and then we can do nothing even when we are praying and that will never help such token to get the value. In fact, if token depends on the exchange site to be able to get its value. So many times tokens worth zero value caused by there none of the exchange sites who wanna try to list it.

I guess you already discovered from so many replies that the team abandoned this project already so it's long gone. If they still continue their project i would recommend you to try DEX exchange like IDEX because they didn't listed any CEX exchanges. But because your coin is worthless no one will buy it now. I have no idea how much you invested on it but it's better to move other good projects.

Exchange is the not the most important thing, if you own a really valuable coin you can always sell it on DEX or trade it on the OTC market. But the thing what gives token a value is the product progress and the use case, not listing on the reputable exchange.  Smiley

Always invest in coin which is listed almost two or three high-rank exchanges with good daily trading volume. The coin which is listed only in one exchange from a long period is very risky even it is a good project too.

What about Oikos and Cartesi. They havent been listed, but already were marked as a successful projects, had lots of investors and were on demand all the time. Plus they already had a working projects.
