This is similar to Athero token wherein they created a very impressive website with nice concept but once the bounty was over they just distributed the tokens to investors and dumped the token in a useless exchange wherein the investors did dump the token but those who bought the tokens and those investors who believed in this token and those who purchased this token were left in darkness as the project was abounded and the owners blamed everything on poor bounty managers who themselves were not paid for this project.
There are so many scam projects and it's better to either invest in those coins which is trading for atleast 6 months or which has a solid backup from a reputed organization.

Right now, there're no way to hold those tokens until to list another new exchange. I think team's will be concern to get add new exchanges. But if this coin is potential and still more legit investors exists than dex is open for start trading. Dead coin is always valueless no matter what it’s listed or not.
And we know that some projects never get listed again. What this represents is a bad investment, he wanted to hold some nameless coin, now he can hold it forever, in his wallet. It can be a good reminder to never invest without research, and if you don't know how to do it than just invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum, both are great. There are other great ones too!

LoL no one ever said that, exchange has nothing to do with the value of the coin in initial listings, it is derived from the project itself. You should do research first before investing into a coin. All investments are risky either you succeed or you fail in that investment. I haven't heard as well this batcoin. Do they have a website? Or any social media accounts that you can follow or update regarding their development?if they don't have then you waste your money 
These days researching seem to be missing always, I often get questions 'why this specific coin is a scam ....' , 'why I lost my ......' it's always like this, and I know something is missing from that point, and that is the knowledge for the project. I've already seen this batcoin, I guess I check it coz it sounds like bitcoin, I know they named that to be sounds alike to bitcoin that's for sure.

Definitely if the token hasn't yet listed on any exchange, therefore no value even if that project is successful in terms of reaching it's target soft cap. And exchange is an important factor for a token to be with. Good exchange makes a good in investment.
But OP is talking about already listed exchange got hacked and closed.If a coin or token has not yet reached an exchange then that must be a different problem like its devs must be working on listing on one or multiple exchange as most ICOs followed the trend like listing will be happen by the end of ICO phase. So, we cannot rush into a conclusion about no value due to no exchange. We must give time to devs to talk to different exchanges for listing their own coin/token.
Exchange's reputation might be playing vital role in deciding value of an asset. Because, reputed exchanges must be having more traders and investors compared to new exchanges. But when your coin/token is having all the reasons for attracting more investors then just a legit exchange is more than enough. But I'm seeing lots of new coins and tokens are being listed into hitbtc and yobit exchanges because these exchanges are not maintaining that much good reputation among this community.

Yes agree. If the project is still going on he should wait for another exchange to accept the coin. He should not trust quickly in unpopular exchange sites, it will not good idea at all. They also said that we should not stay our altcoins in exchange sites because like what happened in OP's situation. We didn't not expect these to happen but if we know a lot we should avoid this to happen again.

it was discussing about how important the exchange site for the token. That means the exchange site has become the main thing for token to be priced. The demand and supply will come together on the exchange site. The coin can't leave from the domination that has already created by exchange site. No exchange = no value and this is the rules.

Why opted to chose such coin/token without even having a research on it if the projects still making a progress or the team is still active doing some works for the developments of the project? The project has long gone according to some commenters of it will no longer have any values unless something miracle happened and the team decided to resume its operations and make a good run in the future.

Sorry about your loss mate, this is why projects like this that have low volume and listed in just one small exchanges should be only traded,not for holding,because your holding is useless now as no exchange,no value,the best you can do is hope for the team of the project to list else where.

This is the reason, people do always emphasize about investing only through out money; so that you could bear the losses even it may happen unexpected after your due diligence.So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.
You may not have any big options left in front of you expect keep waiting for some new exchange to list your coin; Just move and and focus on another good coin to invest and recover all your losses along with some profits. Crypto life must keep going like this. There are unlimited opportunities and you bother your one loss then you might miss another multi-fold opportunities.

Whether it's his fault or not for not analyzing the coin he invested to but his opinion holds truth tho, if a coin didn't have exchange then it's shit coin and nothing more. Some people are trying to risk their money by investing in coin like that as it turns out the unlisting of that coin is about to happen without even knowing it.

The exchange site will never listing your coin when you have no created any cooperation with them. Investing money into new projects has always some risks. Though these projects want to prove them as much as legit by making a good Website, Showcasing them as Sound and Professional Tech Team, Reveal there face into public. The term ICO or CrowdFunding has now fully become a type of Scam. A huge number of people lost uncounted number of money by believing these Scam projects. I think you can,t do anything about it other than take it as a scam. Learn from this situation and don,t ever do these kind of investment on ICO's . Alternatively you can look into IEO on Big exchanges like Binance, Okex, Kucoin etc. Stay Safe

Of course, OTC alternatives will be the best exit gate in a lack of exchange choice. In general, it doesn't worth spending time with bounties or investing in cheap projects with no future plans and risk calculation. This is why it is a good thing to follow up on projects and see how serious the project team is. If they were serious about developments and growing the project, they ought to have made provisions for several other exchanges and listed their token there and not depend on a single exchange. Now, you are left with the options of forgetting about the loss or holding onto your tokens in the hope that someday, it will be worth something. Also, you can try and reach out to the project devs and see where their commitment lie with the project.

It's a pity but just hope the team list on a new exchange, that's if the project is not dead and gone
Most team members forget about a project if they hit their target of cashing out from it which is terrible. I had to withdraw my INXT from coinexchange before they closed up but luckily for me, they listed on mercatox after that so I dumped there. I hope you didn't invest huge anyway. Just hold and be hopeful for a good update from the project , nothing more to do.
