Well, that was exactly the right move, we all shouldn't save our coins in exchange wallet too long.
Never use 3rd party wallet to store your coins because you won't never know what will happening there. I have some coins on Cryptopia and they are gone because the exchange has been hacked.

There is nothing you can do about this, the only way is to wait for batcoin to be listed on the exchanges. But the possibility is small,
regarding to my knowledge, Bitcoin is a dead project. Next time be more careful about buying altcoins, just choose popular altcoins
that have a high volume of investment. So don't buy altcoins like batcoin again.

So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided

What do you think I should do now?

i've seen the batcoin website, and the project seems already dead. of course the dead coin will have no value. i think it's impossible that the other exchangers will listed the dead coin. there's nothing you can do to return your money, all you can do is take some learning from this situation.

I don't see anything you can do about a dead coin. A dead coin is a dead coin, you just have to move on to some other projects that are solid may be you can get back your loss from other projects. We all need to be sure before making any investment.
Yes, aside from being a dead coin, it has no exchange. If there is no exchange, it only means that the coin has no value at all. Meaning, he can't either sell it in an exchange or do P2P. No one will be willing to buy a coin with no value.

The rise of decentalised exchanges have helped a lot of small projects in this regard. Now they don't have to worry about paying big bucks to the centralized exchanges to list their tokens.

This is true, some few good projects which list their tokens on uniswap for free are doing well, even though there are so many scam projects taking advantage of uniswap and other dex like bamboorelay, forkdelta to list scam tokens. A good centralized exchange with high trading volume is necessary for price growth of a coin/token, but uniswap trading volumes surpass many CEX nowadays hence gives hope to projects which can't afford high listing demands from top CEX.

If the team behind the project has no intention in listing it to other exchange then you will end up owning a shit currencies because a currency
without an exchange has no value for sure.

You should check whether their social channels are still active and your only option is to hope that the team behind the project will likely to list
their project to other exchange. But if the team behind the project are nowhere to be found already then there is no hope for your money to come back to life again.

Of course  you're right, that if your coin or token is not listed, then it's as good as nothing.  The challenge is just that, if that coin you are holding still has developmental team, that is not abandoned, then there could have been hope of getting listed on another exchange.  But you can still keep it in your wallet, we never can tell, the team might come back and pick it up later.

It is very interesting for me to hear the reason, why you decided to buy this token, which is traded only on an exchange without a good reputation?

for this solution I can only suggest waiting until the redemption is fixed again, but if there is still no sign of improvement then it must be installed, because generally batcoin has no price because it has been abandoned by the owner, so be patient

The price is made by users that wanna buy a product. If there is no exchange it means that there is not a regulation market and it's also very dangerous to invest in this contest, like in the ICO. You could also buy at a price higher than the future market price!

Forger and move on. Coins that has no value on an exchange means no demand and its tendency to die is high. Im always skeptical through which projects I must put my money but really never heard this coin, I thought its bat basic attention token but its different. Probably a shitcoin that imitating the original one. Beware of shitcoins they only do hardm than good. There are lots of good coin but why did you picked this one?

There are no updates on this project and of course this project can be said to be over, so the coins you have in your wallet will not be valuable, save it maybe in the future there will be a miracle..
Please don't play with his hope like that with miracle stuff. The best thing for him right now is just moving on and stop wasting his time, his energy on thinking his dead coin can return.
The dead coin will have gone forever and it will never return again. It's the same like people were wasting their time for nothing while they can make the new money from the new promising coins that have already released into the market. I hope that everyone watching this and exchange site is everything to make crypto survive.

You were lucky that you didn't store your coin on that exchange.
If you stored on the exchange, you wouldn't be able to withdraw your coin and you wouldn't have anything to own.
Just hope that your coin value will going up in the future.

There is no update because the project is dead. There is no future and there will be no future developments for this project anymore. The coins bought by OP is no value now, there is no point of saving it because even if a miracle comes, this project will still be useless as it is right now.

You're very lucky for not holding your coin at the exchange when the hacking happened. I have experience with coins that didn't list on any exchanges for a long time so I think I can understand how do you feel. If you don't have high confidence for that coin, just find someone willing to buy your coin. Look at the coin discord or telegram, I'm sure there are always investors want to buy the coin cheap since there is no exchange for it.

Find anyone willing to buy your coin and sell it. Don't tell me you thought that the only way cryptos can be traded is thru exchange alone? Make sure you trading with escrow service since there is always scammer looking for quick bucks.
Seems like you didn't know this project. Batcoin is an abandoned project, so, if he will sell it to someone else, I don't think that there is someone who is willing to buy a useless coin. P2P is not an option here, he needs to move on since there is no way that a dead coin will be revived. All he has right now is just a useless coin.
