Since individuals have diverse perspectives, it is undoubtedly their fault if someone uses information negatively. Additionally, you might not have intended for your sharing to serve the purpose that the other used it for. It's wise advice, we shouldn't share our winnings with strangers when we succeed in life, particularly if it involves money. This applies to winnings in gambling as well. It's not always a good thing since you never know what someone could think of you, and sharing it with them could backfire.

as much as possible, be discreet on this aspect of your gambling. you have no idea what other people are thinking about you knowing about your winnings. much better if you will just keep it to yourself or your immediate family. do remember that when you are on the losing side, no one bothered to ask you.

and also, that is also good for your security. as there are so many bad actors these days you have no idea who is watching your moves and with bad intentions. just waiting for the right timing and victim.

and it is best to celebrate it with your close family and friends as they are the ones who have witnessed what you've been thru with your life.
for other people, they are only interested about their share or tips coming from you. afterwards, you won't hear anything from them.

Every story you tell someone can either be a motivation or something to get them depressed. I have been thinking about this and I'd like to pass this advice to every serious gambler in this platform who has won a substantial amount of money from gambling, not to share their success story about winning to everyone and in every place.
That's one way of looking at it and I agree with you, but unfortunately you can't seperate information on who it gets to or not because this is a public place without any sort of filters , and besides like they say one man's poison is another man's medicine...

Btw, with how the forum is setup with signature campaigns and the alike when it comes to marketing, showing winnings is part of growing a companies userbase..which says it's a game of numbers which needs to be done.

You do not know the story of every gambler, and on the face some gamblers may just look alright but in deep down they are in debt, some depressed due to addiction to gambling that is destroying them and has made them plan to quit. Your success story when shared indiscriminately may trigger and motivate this addicted gambler battling to stop to want to keep gambling, having the believe that their time is close. Be careful who and where you talk about your success in gambling, you may just be encouraging an addicted gambler to continue.
What you said is sadly true, but this also says the gambler has no self-control and are not capable of making the right decisions... and fyi gambling is an adult activity and as an adult you need to own up on the decisions you make and not the next guy taking responsibility for your actions, everyone has free will....

If I happen to talk with family or acquaintances about gambling I will only share certain aspects of it.
I will concede to talk about the social aspect of gambling like card game tables etc.
Other times we will talk about the athleticism of certain sport teams.

Talking about amounts gambled and winnings to me is a no go, because I know everyone's financial situation is different and honestly there's no need to flex finances to people that know you. It would be akin to sharing your net worth with everyone. Some people just don't take well to that. And gamblers sometimes have even worse reactions. At least that's my two cents.

Success stories will always be a success story. Dang if you think it might hurt your feelings then ignore the post and move on to another post. People don't need anybody's opinion when they share their success stories, unless they are talking nonsense and looks like a made up story. Well, most success shared story have this note "this is to inspire but not to brag" something like that, so...

You're so right.  We gotta think about who we're talking to.  For folks with gambling problems or who've lost a bunch betting, hearing stuff like that can hurt or even trigger unhealthy stuff.  I'm not saying hide it but maybe tone down the bragging around certain people and  the last thing we wanna do is rub salt in someone's wounds or cause them pain. Just something to chew on.

Thanks for bringing this. I can understand what you are communicating. There is a good reason a gambling site is capable of paying big winning and letting people to know, so that those people that know about it can be motivated to gamble the more. This is just like what's you are also saying. If a gambler is telling people about the big amount of money he won, this will trigger people that he is telling to gamble or to gamble more if the person is already a gambler. Best to keep this to themselves.

I think maybe casinos have thought or planned for this from the beginning, their ability to pay out large amounts of winnings by gamblers is not something that casinos give away for free, or maybe there is another purpose that casinos have planned for. Simply put and the logic is that gambling winnings come in the form of money and the fact is that everyone wants money, so when one person wins and the casino pays them then we cannot simply say that the casino lost some of their budget to give to the winner, but the fact is that there is a reciprocity that can be greater than the large amount that the casino has given to the winner, That is usually people who manage to get a win, especially with a large amount, then surely they will tell their luck to one or even several of their friends and that's where the casino will again take advantage of several friends of the winner who are also clear they will participate in gambling at the casino that has been won by his friend, not only that because usually people who have managed to get a win at a casino then usually they will come back again to gamble there by putting hopes for a much higher number of wins. On the other hand, I think this is a statement that is in accordance with the facts.

I want us to not see everyone who is participating in the gambling like people who is having a challenge from one problem to another, because we have so many people who is in the gambling platform or playing gambling subsequently but they gamble because is part of them and they seems it like entertainment or kind of what they use for reduction of depression or thinking, so not all gamblers that do think whatever they spent in gambling, so let us not label gambling as bad one

Funny story, but it's very very true because just the other day I was with a family friend and he was complaining very bitterly about how he has been losing on gambling and that he has spent alot of money but he failed to understand that you can't actually force your winning to come and this was his case because he actually tells himself that on every new try he is going win and he affirm or assures this act by actually raising his stake and reducing the odds feeling he can actually make it but at the end he always get losses.

So I visited him not long ago and was discussing with a friend about my winning and he immediately felt like he too can achieve this but I cleared him it was all luck because no one can be certain of that win. He immediately deposited some funds and starting interrogation with me on how I played my game and  funny enough after everything the game we played together still ended a loss to him.

There are certain rare moments in life that we feel compelled to share with others, mainly when we achieve a victory. I understand your point of view but the issue is not with winners. It's problem gamblers who struggle to control their addiction. If you win and want to celebrate on social media or here in a forum, feel free to do so, as life doesn't always bring success. Why should you worry about others who don't show concern for you? And please don't blame the winners, as they want to share their joy of winning.

Success stories will always be different from the perspective of the listeners.
Yes, it can be positive or negative but if your purpose is to educate and inspire then just stay positive and your listener might still find a good lesson on your story. Though if the addicted gambler gets inspire to gamble more, i believe the problem is still with him and not yours anymore as your intention is clean and your purpose is positive.

I think the main objective here is to choose whose success story you should read and learn from. Unfortunately, there are people who fake their stories for the sake of creating an argument and a discussion with others. But with some, they also have their respective stories that can be both beneficial and informative as they can share their key insights during those times.

In conclusion, success stories are not bad per se; people share them all the time due to the joy of winning a huge amount of money. If you really want to avoid these success stories, then just keep it to yourself- no need to call it out and make a fuss about it.

Do they even have to know that you’re into gambling? I have never been the type that shares his win story with people who have seen my face or know me, so it will be difficult for me to sit down and start sharing with others how I predicted that this and that will happens because of my prediction I risked a certain amount of money but luckily for me my prediction was correct.

If you've ever gambled, you should know that success stories don't always serve as motivation because you've seen it for yourself, but just reading through a blog post and seeing how they made thousands of dollars by betting will no longer work on you. I would agree if you said "newbies," but not for veterans! You'd be wasting your time since they know that going back because of what they heard will just result in them losing more money.  Although, some might still be gullible enough to try it again.

Very good advice and just as you said,  every story is either a motivation or course for depression,  taking a none gambler for example,  when you tell them how you use $3 to win $200 within a few hours can motivate them to start gambling without even checking the risk that is involved in gambling and that is why we have to be private as most as we can,  because we don't know who our stories may motivate and how it may motivate them on the long run.

The majority of those you tell you winning to act on it more negatively than positively,  so there is no need to tell anyone about what and how much you win at some point to avoid stirring up some form of negative energy in them at some point in time.

We all need to take responsibility for the choices we make.  And yeah, hearing stories of folks winning big at the casino or whatever can be inspirational for some people, but it can also be rough for others battling addiction issues.  However, I do not think it is on us to police what motivates people. Like how is that our responsibility?

We cannot control them at all and sharing your success stories is not a bad thing but maybe, you have to filter out and just share it to anyone who you think can be more inspired by your stories and not to encourage them to gamble more. I get the point here and that addicted gambler should start seeking a professional help so he will not think this way. I’ve heard a lot of good stories and I can say that its really encouraging to gamble more.
You cant really stop people on the things that they would say, just like on what others been saying that we do have the full rights on the words that we do tell in public. It is really just that there are people who do really make those words as their inspiration to make themselves do push to play more on gambling and having those kind of reflections towards themselves which is wrong.

You wont really be putting up yourself on such trouble if you are really just that taking those words to be normal and realizing that there are people who are born lucky.
Dont make these winnings to be that your inspiration because if you do then you are really that prone into more losses as you would be finding yourself that desperate
on which we know that this is something that will really pushing you too hard.

In all aspects of life, it's generally advised not to overshare about your life, especially if it's something that has to do with money, and that includes how much money you've earned or lost through gambling. That also includes lottery tickets and anything similar that distributes large amounts of money. It's not about who is triggered by your success story; social media is filled with so-called entrepreneurs that show off their supposed wealth; your story as an individual won't make a difference. If someone is motivated to gamble more because he's addicted, after you post about your winnings, it's not your issue, but one they need to resolve themselves. The internet is filled with success stories; hardly anyone ever posts about failures.

What's happening in your life should stay in your life, despite what the subject is. I'm not fond of oversharing, and delicate issues should only be discussed with people you trust or professionals.
Sharing your winning with people around you in a right manner is actually a very good gesture to help motivate people around you as well as make them to enquire more about what to do and how to do it to succeed but because of how bittered the heart of men are, it's now not advisable for people to share their winnings with others as it now resurrects their bad thoughts instead of serving as a motivation to others. So if you ask me, I think it's now better to remain discreet when it comes to your personal winnings in other not to attract bad energy and enmity round yourself.

Don't tell me you want those winners to adjust to that situation. How is that even possible?

You can't dictate what others have to do. If you can't go with the flow, then gambling is not for you.

If you don't find that comfortable, then just ignore those. You can't control someone to brag or show their winnings. Others just feel glad that they won big. It's part of the gambling environment. Aside from that, not everyone will have the same reaction towards those winning stories. Some will be inspired and some will just take it as a bragging rights by the winner.

Only a retarded person will see another gambler success story and would feel motivated to continue gambling blindly. Did you know how much the person has lost and never disclose to the public? I think 100% of the time gamblers post their gambling stories, it's always the good part, nobody share you their journey how they have lost their live savings. If they tell you that they have lost their live savings, will that makes you happy that they lost, it doesn't make sense to me for you try something you might regret later. If you are good, your own day will come and if you don't know much, improve or just quit, life is not that hard.

It's difficult for a gambler to quit especially if they have plenty of debts and money to back but you know what? If a person really want to quit gambling, they will quit and they wouldn't look back. It's just like saying I want to stop dating and cancel a relationship but on sighting your spouse, you developed feelings again and want to give it a trial when you know it's can't work because all the signs are there but you don't want to quit because you think you might not succeed elsewhere if you stop. Gambling isn't different from this analogy.
