Maybe you should look at this from another angle. If people are worried and have too many things to bother about this era of covid19, from losing loved ones to staying indoors worried, do you think they will want to invest anywhere or rather buy stuff to survive at home? This virus is affecting all and sundry, including the crypto space. In my opinion, this is not the best time to launch a project unless it relates to combating the virus. For instance, a project offering free cloud storage for all medical firms fighting against Corona virus will strive.
Think about it, viruses are causing the global economy to go down. People are losing their jobs and cannot make money. So I think people will never use money to invest in new projects, which is suicide. And if you try to launch a new project now, I think your project is likely to fail.

Only bad projects need to worry about when to release their project, a good project is going to have investors interested in it regardless of when it is released, the problem is that we have very few of those kind of projects and the rest are either scams or projects made by amateurs that do not really know what they are doing, quite honestly I think the era in which anyone could release their coin and have investors lined up is over and from now on only good projects will receive any attention from the community.

It simply proves that people are only into knowledge at this point but are prioritizing things over cryptoinvestment, more likely things that has something to do with their needs, given that there are shortage to some places.

You mean, for developers to release trashy projects to victimize newbies since there are new people in crypto due to the pandemic? I doubt if it is really the best time, take note that almost every country is experiencing economic crisis, and it doesn't mean that most people are looking for online jobs they are also investing in crypto. Most people would rather save their money for emergency cases than to invest it somewhere else.
