I like that series, as the author does not try "bash" the competitors or excessively promote Ardor's features, but describes also the advantages of the competitors in a fair way. The series is confirming my opinions, until now, about Lisk and NEM, but I got some extra insights difficult to obtain from the official pages of these projects. I see Lisk as a more direct competitor for Ardor because of the sidechains feature, while NEM is more of a competitor of NXT, Peercoin, Waves and other more traditional PoS blockchains.

(In the NEM article, one paragraph - that one beginning with "Perhaps the most fundamental one ..." - is tripled, please correct. Thanks!)
Do you think ARDOR ill be able to beat LISK with an earlier release of the sidechain API?
That would be huge for ARDOR if they can beat LISK to it.

Should I  dump all my NXT  and invest on some other good project Huh

NO. NXT has seen the bottom. Good news are to come:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/59afe6b0e4b0c50640cd635e

Yes you should dump all your NXT. I had seen this state when Ardor came out. I thought NXT was reached the bottom at 2000 sat. But it was NOT, it reached even lower. 600 satoshi if i remember. And when ignis wants to came out. It strongly go up again. If you want my advice. Just sell your NXT before it is too late. When there is a new other project from NXT, then do re-buy. Smiley

I guess because it's hard to judge how important this is for someone not being in Brazil.
But yeah, considering how much of a pump NEM got from working with Malaysian banks...

I wonder why nobody talking about the BNP Paribas news.
I think NXT could become a really big success in the future, when BNP Paribas use this Plattform.

For those who are interested in Ignis ICO, taken from www.jelurida.com/ico :

The first and second rounds are now sold out! 140 M JLRDA total were sold and 68 M NXT collected. Thank you all for your contribution!

The third round of the crowdsale will be divided into 4 offers of 25 M JLRDA each, all priced at 1 JLRDA for 0.76 NXT. These will be released according to the following time schedule:

Sat, Sep 9th between 06:45 - 07:15 UTC
Sun, Sep 10th between 18:45 - 19:15 UTC
Tue, Sep 12th between 06:45 - 07:15 UTC
Thu, Sep 14th between 18:45 - 19:15 UTC

The exact time within each 30 minute interval will be decided randomly. Jelurida reserves the right to modify the above schedule in case of circumstances beyond its control.

i sold all my nxt. 1/2 of my coins for 0.00008210 and the rest for 0.00006435. now i can buy back my nxt for about 2000sats. thats three times less.

if i had sold for example 10'000 nxt: 5'000 for 0.00008210 and 5'000 for 0.00006435 = 0.73225BTC
the next ICO-ignis batch will be sold for 0.76. with this 10k nxt i can buy 13'157 ignis.

or i just buy nxt for 0.7 btc @2000k sats and i will get 35'000 nxt. and this will give 17'500 ignis during the snapshot - and i will still have my NXT.

i am really happy that i sold all my NXT when the price was high.
and i place my buy order below 2000 sats.

Yesterday I was able to buy some JLRDA tokens. It seems that now demand pressure has decreased a lot, as tokens were available for more than 10 blocks (in fact, when I closed the client after more than 30 minutes, there seemed to be still ~1 million available).

So everyone that got disappointed because (s)he couldn't buy in the first two rounds, this time there is a nearly 100% chance to succeed (if demand doesn't pick up again). It is even possible that the whole 0.76 round will not be sold out ...

Hi,
Now I hold my nxt in Poloniex so I want to get Ignis to my wallet, I dont know if poloniex arrange to convert or not? Thank you a lot

all you have to do is create your own wallet. you can do it here:
https://nxt.jelurida.com/index.html

you will get some random words: e.g.

Quote
desperately forgot society street tonight ......

write them down and follow the instructions. and you will receive an address. send your coins to this address and you will get your ignis.

It's not safer to take part in the ICO vs. just leaving the NXT in your wallet. It just gives you a bit more IGNIS.
Taking part in the current ICO means you're selling your NXT. And not taking part means you'll keep your NXT but get 0.5 IGNIS once it's launched (should be very soon after the ICO).
What will give more returns? Nobody can guarantee... it all depends on how well the launch goes, and if there is demand for Ignis and if NXT might get dumped.

You can read all infos about the ICO process on the Jelurida page, they also have stuff on the roadmaps.

I hold some NXT - but though I read a lot about the ICO and Ignis airdrop, I have no idea what to do.
Can someone tell me, what my best bet is - can I keep it on bittrex and wait for the airdrop. Does the
airdrop work on an exchange? When is the snapshot going to be?

It probably works on the big exchanges. But better check with Bittrex to confirm - I am not aware of an official announcement yet.
It would be more advisable to not risk it - it's always better not to leave coins in an exchange.

Setting up the wallet is actually quite easy. For smaller amounts you can even use the online wallets or light wallets (these will also give you IGNIS on the air-drop). Just create a good password and send your coins there.
For big amounts, download the software, then the blockchain - and then do the same.

Is is safer to invest in the third part of the ico?
