Liverpool's costing me dearly, winless in 4 games, but form is temporary, and we have a 12-day break for internationals to let them get back on track.

Dipping into the lower leagues today for some interesting odds and parlays, I fancy Zaragoza for a tight win in Segunda, while Xanthi in the Greek super league can make the most of their home edge over mid-table rivals Larisa Ael. And to spice things up, Cologne from 2nd Bundesliga to complete the 3 legged parlay.

Well, what a game to have bet on. Who would have thought Newcastle would attack at Old Trafford, who would have thought they would go 2-0 up in 10 minutes, who would have thought they'd get 10 shots on target (!!!). So many reasons: United are playing like they're lost, and Newcastle have never won. Mourinho didn't exactly inspire confidence at pre-match saying "it would be a nice if they won". The Newcastle that won at Old Trafford 4 years ago aren't the same as today, but please Benitez, surprise us all by attacking today. You don't even have to be that good, United are brittle at the back.

Poor performance from our heavyweights in Europe. Lyon scrambled back to make a draw, Real Madrid's inexplicable deterioration in quality makes them so incredibly amateur sometimes, United, well, Mourinho.

Beautiful parlay win last night to bring our record even on wins/losses. Could only follow Fulham and City updates, but apart from letting in a Milwall goal, Fulham still made it a comfortable 3-1 win, while the City game hit us 11 corners with 15 minutes to spare, courtesy of Oxford. Final corner count was 12, with 7 already in the first half, so yes, everything went to plan.

The United game made me sweat, with Derby only making it 2-1 in the 85th minute after a painful VAR decision wait, but the draw still ticked off our Over 2.5 goal to win the parlay.

Who else to bet on tonight but Liverpool beating Chelsea? Odds are just below a doubler but no worries, we'll parlay it with Arsenal.

Fairly comfortable doubler last night in the Segunda, even if the 2-0 lead was cut to half minutes from the end. Thank god for mid-week cup action as we see some pretty interesting games tonight in the English leagues.

We start with what surely must happen as City are playing Oxford Utd, Oxford must defend with their lives for any chance, so expect lots of corners. Handicaps and goals are not so good value, which is why we'll go for corners. United take on Derby, and Derby will probably sense there's blood to be had so 1 goal in them is for sure, while United have too much quality not to score at least 2. And finally, we see great odds for a Fulham win, who must surely beat Milwall!

Spectacular parlay losses yesterday, with upsets for Chelsea, Celtic and Roma, but somehow feels less painful to lose 3 legs rather than 1. And that Chelsea and Sarri slipped up 3 days before the league cup encounter with Liverpool makes me happy to pay for it with a small loss.

Thanks for the feedback. As I said, I do recall comparing previously but they must have really improved on margins or odds providers because the odds I checked since DS's feedback absolutely showed 1% advantages or thereabouts on Euro football... which really is what I mainly bet on. Rush is really my favourite and always has been but yeah, my loyalty lies with the odds, and of course the confidence with which I know I'll get paid from Rush is topmost but I won't mind trying a small bankroll at BK, setting it up soon so I can use them hopefully by Wednesday!

If what you're saying is right then BK is a traditional bookie. Seems a bit risky long term, but good odds worth it I'd feel.

Like you said, competition is healthy for all. We can only stand to gain.

yeah as darkstar stated , Betking is now looking great for some European soccer ML but overall the bookie still need improvement to compete with rush IMO
other lines aren't competitive with rush but also they have good boxing lines in case you are interested

would love to see them lowering the margin for all the selections but can't see that happening cause as I understood betking pays their players' profits out of their pocket unlike rush where the site makes money no matter if the players win or lose

would love to see them getting better than rush , at the end I don't have complete loyalty for any site and we are all here to make more money

Yesterday, Burnley ended their winless streak in a superb result, but Newcastle played out a drab scoreless match, but we ended up with a small profit since both picks were good payouts. I'll probably want to keep backing Newcastle on a similar opponent because they're too good not to eventually win.

Missed Napoli's early game or I'd have made a ML bet on them, but doing a EPL/Serie A/Scottish league parlay still not out of the question.
I'll be damned if Chelsea's perfect start is snapped, and Arsenal are on a roll, so they form 2 legs of the parlay, while Roma, despite their problems should still see off Bologna. I'm feeling good for the favourites today, so I'll even throw in a Celtic win.

I've always known I'm no more than an amateur gambler, but even a little bit more knowledge about how things work gives an advantage over the long term. I'll need to spend a bit more time looking up the various odds providers, and choosing 1 bookie for 1 provider. I guess I'm not wrong to say Rush is the lowest margins for Pinnacle provider.


Definitely not. I used Nitro because it seems to be the most popular (I don't do research but on evidence that Nitro appears in almost every related thread) and just want to show that most popular doesn't necessarily mean the best. I'm going to look at AH lines on UltraPlay now, I actually very seldom do the .25/.75s, so interesting feedback on this. Maybe can even start listing which providers seem to provide best odds. At the moment, when backing the long shot underdogs, Pinnacle seems to provide huge advantages.

Rush is still very competitive (I believe margin is about equal between them and BetKing), but they use different odds providers, so you'll see odds differences that could yield advantages. Nitrogen is always lower than Rush because they use the same odds provider.


I hope you're not betting there and just using it for comparison. An UltraPlay book such a mBitCasino has more AH lines than Nitro/Rush; I'd try looking there. Don't expect competitive odds, but lower odds is better than not getting paid. Generally more effective to build your own +2.25 or whatever by splitting between +2 and +2.5
